Heck, since we're short on judges...
Count me OUT of the competition and IN on judging.
    Should be fun.

List updated! We just need 1-2 more judges and 2 more contestants! It's been so long.

Cheezwitz, this is taking incredibly long. I'd love to volunteer as a judge, but I doubt I'd have the time for that. At the moment I'm even on the brink of being able to poet.

could I write my poems in spanish? honestly I can barely speak english and I wouldn´t know what words rhyme but this sounds really fun, if I can´t I´ll just stick to lurking and watch the competition.

I suspect it will be difficult enough to find judges even without the bilingual requirement. Open to being proved wrong, though.

that´s what I thought too, but I don´t think any potential judges would be deterred from joining just because one person who isn´t even in the list of players saying they would like to join in the off chance somebody talks his language. Besides a person has to have some hope right?

P.S: I could try to write a poem in english, assuming some judges appear but I don´t think my poems in spanish are all that great to begin with. My poems would be bad, but I would like to become better if I can.

I think non-English poems are out of the question, but Vaynor will have to confirm that. Besides, isn't GitP an English-only forum?

Non-English poems are out of the running both because we can't accommodate them with Spanish-speaking judges and because non-English languages are against the rules on the forums.

Ok, thanks. Guess I will just watch the poems if you get enough judges, also I had no idea that non-English languages are against the rules of the forum that seems... Odd, seems like a weird rule to have.

English isn't my first language and I often really struggle with the poyems, but I still attempt my best. Definitely have a try with writing English! It's just a silly lovely light hearted competition (that I always take far too seriously, competitive me). You can at least try. I use the English dictionary, Thesaurus and rhymezone.com a lot when I work on this stuff as I'm not that fluent when it comes to anything but conversation and some academic writing.

We need to be able to moderate all posts on the forums, not just some of them.

That makes sense, guess it is for the best, my English has improved since I started on this forum and thanks to how effective the mods are this is one of the cleaner forums I've been on.

Assuming everyone who signed up is still interested in competing, we're actually full on spots. We just need 2 more judges now, so if anyone can switch to judging from competing we can get this show on the road.
