    Persia's communications with the Huns broke down several generations ago and the new self-styled leader cannot be reasoned with. They will soon cut off trade on Persia's inland sea and their warriors gather menacingly at their borders. For the sake of Persia and all civilized lands the threat of the Hunnic savages must be ended. As such, a formal declaration of war between Persia and the Huns has hereby been sent to all known nations. Hopefully it will not disrupt outside trade but if it does Persia apologizes in advance.

    Aleph Complex would like to follow our friends to the south with a operation against the traitors in sector HUN. The traitors inhabiting sector HUN stole plans of a {Error: Project not found} that would have encompassed our entire complex. Petty theft was not treason enough evidently, since these traitors promptly executed all Aleph Complex power services engineers who had knowledge of our secret project. We have been planning a reprisal against the traitors for many years now. Already, multiple troubleshooter, internal security, and (this information not available at your security clearance) squads are descending upon the center of the traitors' operations.

Persia also wishes to let it be known that our goal is to make the Persian Sea safe and thus our aggression will be limited to Hunnic ports on this sea. The capital we intended to leave unless driven to total conquest, but with your people's aid the unreliable Huns could perhaps be brought to ruin. To what ends do your people make conquest? Do Persia's plans work with your own?

    And we will allow your troops to pass through our land in exchange for passage into yours. Until this shared war our military council did not see a need for opened borders but the changed situation warrants an agreement.

    This is our current intelligence that we have received from our troubleshooters. Our current plans are to drive the traitors from their two northern sectors and secure our complex from foreign interference. Once we have executed the treasonous inhabitants of sectors HUN and TOR, we shall send the troubleshooters south to reinforce your squads.

    While internal security has not yet arrived with the most recent reports, the high council and Gustavus Ad-U-FUS believe the traitors to be in possession of four sectors. We find a 50-50 split of the sectors between our two complexes to be acceptable. The traitors must be eradicated before they can spread.

    Our ships. Ordered by our king to explore the seas to the south east, where we saw the people of Carthage, report a massive landmass, possibly larger then our own. They have met with another people. The Polish, which we now talk about trade with.



    And human locations that are called city states. These minor nations of the world, have a gift for us as we greet their people.



    Lampang's guards report no problems with the orcs.



    Nor does Muang Saluang.



    As our work band moves on orders of the king.



    Sir Lawrence waits for the day, the king calls him into service.



    As the palace guards report no problems.



    As Si Satchanalai reports clear seas.



    Here we see the fruits of our scientist's labors.

    Si Satchanalai constructs ships to move trade goods in and out of our cities.

    So since it's turn 100 my plans for this game haven't much changed. I'm isolated, so I just need to make sure my navy exists. And now that I can talk and trade with other people, it's time to sit back, and tech to x-com or a science victory.

    Persia has handily taken control of the enemy settlements on our sea, thanks to your diversion of the Hunnic forces. Our pikemen merely need to rest a bit before they can move northward and aid in the final eradication of the Hun.

    This shared war has given the Persian people confidence and we hope to remain allies with Sweden in the future. Once the Persian Sea has been settled our military will be turned toward defensive purposes in the foreseeable future. Do your people have dreams of conquest or of peace?

    We are pleased that our two Complexes have been able to so successfully work together to minimize losses in this mission.

    So long as traitors do not threaten the safety of Aleph Complex, our glorious Complex desires the happiness of all citizens. Direct conflict leads to unhappiness. Therefore, Aleph Complex shall pursue peace for the foreseeable future now that the traitors in sector HUN have all but been eradicated.

    Our high council has been considering expanding our complex beyond a mere reclamation of sector HUN. We wish to know what lands Persia Complex wishes to stake a claim to so that our construction crews might avoid any potential land disputes. We have observed a terrible fog to both our north and east that has prevented all settlement and until the traitors had been dealt with, our crews had very little land to work with.

    Greetings from the Persian Empire. We live between two great seas, one landlocked and the other a continuation of the sea where our vessels met. It extends far to the east, all the way to the Egyptians and our own lands. The nearest lands are under the control of strange peoples known as Carthage, whose leaders are unresponsive to all trade not greatly beneficial to their immediate interest. We are prepared to send a permanent Ambassador to your people for long-term negotiations if your leaders are also so inclined.

    Our exploration fleet seeks new Wonders of Nature, as well as new trading partners. Our merchants were impressed with the samples of Cotton brought from Siamese lands and we would gladly trade the largest Pearls from the Persian Sea for a regular shipment of your extra fabrics.

    Persia claims only the lands bordering our sea, the landlocked body of water to the south of Hun territory. Once we have settled the most fertile lands we may be open to allowing a trade port for others but at the moment all land within a short distance of the sea belongs to us.

    Persian scholars have proposed a joint research project with the scientists of Aleph Complex. Funding shall be necessary but our Ambassador indicates your people have the liquidity necessary to provide for your half.

    The military council wishes to sign a formal Defensive Pact with your armed forces. Persia's newest port unknowingly acquired a plot of land near an Aztec settlement and though we have made reparations the Aztecs have shown willingness to use conquest against neighbors in the past. We feel that such a Pact would provide ample deterrent and allow for both of our lands to prosper with lesser fear of border conflicts. Persia would, of course, honor such an agreement with as much support as we would spare for our own people and expect the same in return. Hopefully it will not come to that.

    On a final note, the merchant council suggests 250 gold for the successful copying of our research. They consulted with our own scientists and we would gladly pay such a price for a modern technological advancement so we feel the offer is fair. Is this an acceptable cost?

    Yeah, it... seems to have decided that you left, then replaced Illven and Siam with Scrattlebeard playing Other. (As well as Egypt.)

    As usual, try turning it off and on again reverting and see if that fixes it?
