User titles

I don't know if there is a thread about this or not, but I just noticed that the little titles we have under our names change. For instance, mine just went from what ever it was(I forgot) to Halfling in the playground.
So, I have a few questions about this. I figured that they change dependent on how active you are in the forum(meaning that mine will drop soon) but I do not know this for certain. So my first question is, "was my assumption accurate?" My second question only applies if the answer to the first question is a negative: "How do the titles change?" And my third and final question(for the time being) is "What order do the titles go in?"(i.e.: can someone list all of them from lowest to highest rank?)

Kinda accurate. It's correlated to your post count, which in a way is correlated to how active you are.

Just a reminder that the titles are there for fun only and that post counts mean nothing here. Don't treat anyone any differently because of their postcount and please don't post to increase your count.

At issue is not the standing Policy of "Don't Discuss Post Count", it is the inability -- not difficultly, but outright inability -- for new members to ever learn how the titles work without discussing post counts.

A stickied thread -- unless locked immediately -- would be *providing* a distinct location for such discussions to blossom and would thus be counterproductive.

Placing a more lengthy paragraph in the Forum Rules that includes the titles (I agree with Ego that leaving out the associated numbers may be a good idea) would certainly reduce the number of these threads, and would provide a handy reference when seeking to enlighten the (at that point) more continually clueless new posters.

Post count means nothing.

The quality of what you post counts for far more than the silly little subtitles below our names.
