Thanks Feras for messing up the post count and user count FOREVER. :p
93. I made the World Talk thread (at least one of them) way back when and I'm sad I missed this one so long. Hopefully when rich comes back it will be so huge it will DEMAND BEING ADDRESSED. Rawr.Avvie by Gorbash Kazdar.

101. I'll make it a handful now.
These articles are the best I have seen along this subject matter. The caliber of the material and the detail into the process are long overdue for the hobby in general.Last edited by Marcus Heinous; 2007-09-18 at 10:49 AM.

Re: The World Petition
I donno if I've posted in this thread yet...
If not count Rowan as #104
Although I can't blame Rich now if he's just waiting for 4e to come out.
I would buy the world either as a setting to play in or as a a walk through of creating settings. Preferably both.

#105 Altair
Now, I'd love to see more on the world that Rich was detailing in his world building articles... but I do realise that he's a busy man and a professional games designer, so I for one would be ready to - dare I say it - pay for this world and the Giant's advice.

Seriously though the articles rule and really helped me out with originality issues."Master O'Gorman runs Bartertown now and as you can see I have all the gumballs," Net_Work.

I love the World and am adding it to my sig now.
Oh and are these actually being assembled on a list and sent to the Giant? It might be a good idea. They also taught me alot more about geography than any teachers have.Last edited by Thamir; 2007-10-04 at 07:24 PM.

The setting Rich creates in the articles is pretty awesome, and the articles themselves gave me a valuable insight in worldbuilding.

I LOVED them!
Added more than a year later: I'm designing a Changeling setting, (yes, I realize that's not supposed to happen), and I'm using The World to help me.
Or at least I will when the books arrive on thursday.

I came here for the OotS, but when I started reading the gaming articles, The New World in particular, I knew I was hooked for good.
Massive praise to the Giant for these. Please. More. When you can.

At the beginning of these articles, I didn't pay attention to them.
But later I took a second look, and the way he tells us how & why he's doing this & changing that helps some of us in creating our own worlds.
So please, Giant, when you have time. Allow us to read your World-Building thoughts.
