    Default Erfworld 59 - Page 53

Comic's up! Finally understand what Wanda was so upset about before. I definately dig how Parson's the one confusing everyone instead of the other way around now.

I loved the crap golems in the background of the picture at the top. There's definitely Schlock (from Schlock Mercenary) and a Dalek there, but I probably missed some others!

Wonder why Parson is so interested in the Misty/Lookamancer link thing?

Erfworld is one of the few instances where I not only tolerate chat-speak, but find it genuinely amusing.

Interesting, this confirms the view that merely talking to the Lookamancer could have screwed up the link. Not precisely a Klog, but still pretty good. Also, we finally see that ImInUrDirtz is our favorite dirtamancer's "screen name" (I had previously been slightly confused on that point, thinking that perhaps Bogroll's thoughts had entered the eyebook by mistake )

Why do you think talking to (as opposed to ordering via thought) an eyemancer could mess with the whole link? I've heard theories of free will = bad, self awareness/individuality = bad, etc...

(Wow, its been a while since I last posted)

Anybody catch Schlock in the webcomic Schlock Mercenary as one of the mud golems? Glad to see the author reads it.

The Schlock crap golem sold it for me. Which is highly fitting, as Schlock really does look like a giant wad of crap with eyes.

Parson wants to know because he wants to see if he can exploit this and he's curious, and the creators probibly saw our monumental confusion to the nazi-wanda strip and wanted to tell us what the big deal was.

Schlock as a Crap Golem! Makes perfect sense.

Let's hope the lookamancer thing still holds during next turn. Sorry Misty... Little battle is over, I wanted to see more, but I understand that Jamie didn't want to give us all the cool battle scenes now.

There are tons of reasons for Parson to be interested in that. He talked to Misty for quite a while; he probably made friends with her or pities her for the way she is being treated. I'm sure he is wondering what is going on with her even more than we are. His wanting to talk with her again is strong evidence.

If that's not enough, Parson is looking at being disbanded for messing up the link. If you were going to die over something, wouldn't you at least want to understand it? He can't find a way to smooth things over with the tool if the entire thing is a mystery.

well, this confirms that the mistake Parson made was treating her like an individual...the whole hive mind thing must be maintained else they might not be able to work in perfect unison.

Now...it also seems that the meals Parson gets tend to include toys that are useful in some way...I wonder what he got this time.....hmmm...

A point in favor of everyone who was saying the simplest explanation - "Parson talks to Lookamancer; Lookamancer cheers up; Parson is accused of meddling" - was the best one.

I expect we will find the same applies to why Ansom got angry. If Parson feels he pwnz0red, that probably means enough happened to make Ansom feel devastated and furious at the outcome.

Meh. I'm not a fan of scat humor. I was still holding out some faint hope that the crap golems were apocryphal.

The one on the left reminds me of early Pintsize. The dinosaur-like one in the middle could be anything but in the context of a couple of other webcomic references I think that Dinosaur Comics is the most likely.

Schlock is the only one acknowledged (see credit line at the bottom of the comic), but I'm sure it's not the only borrowed character in the crap golem lineup. At least the 3rd, 7th and 11th (counting from the left).
