Default Saying goodbye to a Friend and asking for a Prayer for him.

I'm sad to inform you that a regular member of this forum has passed away last night. His user name was Dusk Eclipse, RL name Alberto Zamora.

If that's OK with you guys I'd appreciate (and the family would too no doubt) for you to dedicate a prayer for him in any religion you believe in. He talked quite a bit about you guys and the works done in these forums.

Sorry if I bother or offend anybody, that's not my intention.

Stay safe and lot's de "20"s for you guys.

Thank you for letting us know. One of the worst parts of an internet community is members can drop in and out, and there's no real way to follow up. While I didn't interact with Dusk Eclipse over much, I am heartened he had such friends as to let others know. Again, thank you.

...I was wondering why I hadn't heard or seen him around recently... This is terrible news. I found him a pleasant sort of person, sharp and good company. One of the people I interacted with more in these parts... Playground too will be poorer in his absence. Would it be possible to hear what happened? All men must die, but first we should be allowed to live... He was so young, it never even crossed my mind that something like this could happen.

I hope you all at the heart of the events are coping with the loss. My heart goes out to you all!

    :/

    Well that sucks.

Ahpffsh... death is an inevitability, thus there is no reason to fear our mortality since it is something we bluntly cannot (and do not quite have the technology) to truly deal with or halt the process of, but it really is unfortunate when it does come to the younger ones so suddenly.

That said, I liked Dusk Eclipse. He and I had similar interests and I saw him participate in both the Dark Souls and League of Legends threads. Hell, when he made an NA account with League of Legends I actually was up early/late enough to play with him, and I tried to teach him the basics of League.

I'm sad he's gone. I enjoyed his presence on GitP. It's kind of surreal though, because I can still go back and see his old posts. It's just odd to me.
    I've started streaming again.

Oh my god. I had no idea until just now. What kind of a friend am I?

I was wondering where he had gone. I've known Dusk for quite some time here; actually I knew him almost as long as I've been on the forum. I've played in his games, and have had him as a player in my games. Hes always been an incredible player on every end of the spectrum from stats to roleplaying, and I've loved every game with him. From what I know of him on and off the forum he was also a kind, generous and good man. He was always willing to talk, whether about DnD or any other subject. His posts in any subject were thoughtful, well, reasoned, and always worth the time to read. The forum is a poorer place without him. I am so, so sorry.

I was a player in a couple games with him and while we had very different styles, he was one of the best players I ever ran into. I wish I had more time to get to know him as a person. He was creative, driven and kind.

    My condolences.
