I have a personal contest with myself to come up with the most absurd answers to questions I get asked frequently, like "How are you doing?", just so that I can make the person asking feel akward.

I have a sudden curiosity as to what your list of most absurd answers consists of.

How are you doing?

I hate my cat.
I took it over when my sister moved away, and it just wont stop pissing all over the apartment, no matter what I do. As long as it lives here, my home will not be truly clean. I clean up after it every day, but it is impossible to be rid of the smell completely. But I can't get rid of the cat either, because no one would want it, unless I lied to them, which would be unthinkable, and sending it to a shelter or releasing it would mean suffering and death for it, and that would make me a garbage person in so many ways. And lying to someone else to take it in would only mean that it died a little later, as they got rid of it.
So I care for it. I clean up after it. I feed it, I play with it, and I hate it with all of my heart.

It doesn't work as nice when the person wants an absurd answer, and its only a quarter as funny when you aren't talking in person.

I don't know much about cats, but are you sure that's normal cat behavior? Could it have bladder problems, or something else?
You could also consider giving the cat to someone who lives in a farm or somewhere in the country, so it can stay outside and pee there.

It's not normal cat behaviour, unless it's an unspayed tom. It sounds like it's stressed, or has some other issues, which if it's recently changed both house and owner is pretty likely: cats don't like change. It might be too late now, but the way to introduce them to new environments is generally a bit at a time, starting them in a small space with their travelling box available, and then once they've adjusted to that, letting them explore the rest of it gradually, keeping doors shut until they seem to have got to grips with the space available.

At this stage it might be worth taking it to a vet to see what they advise. After we moved, our cat became very agitated, and was given calming medication.

Twitter is great when there's an exceptional developing situation (power outage, forest fire nearby, alien invasion, etc.). Bring up the relevant official feed on your smartphone, and you can get pointers to other resources, watch critical updates come in, etc. But yeah, under normal conditions it generally seems like just another way for the info-rats to get their morphine drip (which I say self-inclusively).

To my shame, I actually can't remember anymore the D&D games I played in the 70's and 80's (which I loved!), as well as the Cyberpunk and Vampire games I played in the 90's (settings I despised!).

Haha, I don't think that's a bad thing, actually. It's just that I used to resist social media with all my might, and it's not been so long since I gave in; I'm slowly getting the hang of tumblr, but even if I try I can't find Twitter interesting. But hey, it has to be interesting depending to whom, or there wouldn't be so many people using it.

I'm still resisting Facebook, though. I won't set foot there. I have too many cousins with babys and cameras.

I probably do need counseling, but not because I'm suicidal. I won't say much because I wanna respect the forum rules, so I'll just say I'm just gonna soldier along like a good Viking warrior. At least they got to go a-viking once in a while.

I do. Heck, Im glad to say that I used the Book of Squicky Ick Ick to shut down a game, and potentially do perminent, everlasting trauma to a player. DM thought it was the funniest thing he ever saw, so all is good.

Still want to try long pork some day. Does that make me a people person?
