Re: Arcade Games WW
Sure, yes, fine. I had no way to know what ImperatorV's role was. I did, however, question people who voted for him without real reasoning, and suggest we look elsewhere. I'm sorry that I don't have better reads for redirecting the lynch, especially when everyone seems fine with it. It's not easy to get a lynch mob to look elsewhere.
Yes. I said I am the only one.
Yes. I know nothing about anyone else's role.
I hope my counterpart is paying attention. Maybe call me up. Not positive, but I don't think PMs are restricted.
Yes, this is true. norman250, however, is the only person I put as strongly town, and it was for more than purely a vote for Eggel.
This was my thought process: I might die tonight, so let's have a look through the game and see if we can get any reads.
Here's a more accurate list:
Spoilernorman250 - Most town looking so far. I think his votes have been reasonable.
Ramsus - Hard to read. First day doesn't really tell us anything. He explained his Cuthalion vote satisfactorily. Did not join the ImperatorV wagon, so that helps him a little.
Thematthew - Says he's busy. Little to read.
Cuthalion - I really have no idea.
lulz - Posts so infrequently that there's really nothing to read from him.
BasketOfPuppies - Eh read. Warned us of impending business. Voted ImperatorV.
Pelican - Voted for ImperatorV, so who knows?
Silent_Interim - On the ImperatorV wagon, not able to post much.
Felandria - Last vote for ImperatorV. Who knows?
Eggel - I have no clue, he acted similarly when he was a mason. Might be his second game, which I didn't realize.
Lex-Kat - Voted for ImperatorV for "going after me" despite the fact that no one was voting for her.
Luizeu -Post 99 is bad news. Anyone who recommends starting a "follow-the-seer" for the rest of the game does not look good in my book. Especially in an "all-powers" game.
It was subtle, I thought there was more to it than that one post, for some reason.
I'm sorry that you legitimately look bad in this game? You've made a joke vote day one, nothing special. Made a vote for the biggest wagon of the previous day without giving any reasoning which was immediately followed, not sure there's much you can do about the follow-up, but you also didn't give a real reason that I saw for voting for Cuthalion.
But the actual offense is your vote well into the landslide that was the ImperatorV lynch. And the reasoning you gave was, "He's going after me." He said you were a red flag, and that he was willing to go after you. That's it. At this stage of the day, you didn't have a single vote for you. Making a vote for the biggest wagon of the day and claiming something similar to self-defense with no votes on you is rather odd. You'll notice that ImperatorV was actually voting for Pelican. You were in no danger.
Do I think you're a wolf? I really don't know at this stage. I really don't know about anybody at this stage.

Almost missed this.
You've moved into a pretty solid gray area on my radar.

Re: Arcade Games WW
@Penguinator: But how do you know you're "one of the few" and not one of half or more? From what you have claimed, you can guess at what one or two other people have and have no information one way or the other on the rest of the players. So that leaves.... everyone else which you SHOULD have no information about which to base your complaint on. So you're still making an assumption as your excuse for being rude even though it would be rude to complain about even if you actually did KNOW for sure you were in the minority OR you're lying and you're not what you're claiming to be and have information on which to base that complaint which most likely would put you on the wolf side of things since masons don't generally lie in public about their role. Bothering to make excuses rather than just admitting you were being rude just makes it worse man. Either way you're still guilty of doing something to Duck that drives you nuts when people do it to you as a narrator. And you (and probably half the other players) already know how I feel about rudeness being used to mask wolfish behavior. (And in my experience players being rude are more likely doing so for that very reason so I have absolutely no hesitation for lynching people based mainly on their being rude.)

Re: Arcade Games WW
Ramsus, I have a role that is legitimately poorly written. I have discussed it with third parties, and they agree with my assessment.
No, I am not a mason. I wouldn't complain about being a mason, they're actually very useful.
You had a role that was a typical role used in many, many games that was placed in a less-than-fortunate circumstance.
So, yes, I'm complaining about my role. And yes, it's very rude. But frankly, I would just have the same things to say once the game is over.
I have now written Duck an apology outside of thread which addresses my specific concerns with the role.
Drop it.Last edited by Penguinator; 2016-03-02 at 09:22 PM.

Re: Arcade Games WW
No need. I would, however, love honest feedback. It helps a lot more. I know some of the roles are overpowered, underpowered, or just plain bad. Some are experimental. If anyone sees problems with their role, tell me so I can have better roles in future games. Feedback helps more than anything else. I need to figure out how to do different roles while balancing them between teams.
I also agree with Penguinator. Keep this outside the thread or until the end of game feedback. Send me a PM, explanation or complaint, whatever. Don't stretch it out into a long, in thread argument.Avatar made by Bradakhan| Other avatars.

Re: Arcade Games WW
Can we go back to saying that Penguinator is probably hiding his wolf fur under all this performance?
I'm trying to get back on participating.
I honestly think that "follow-the-Seer" is a good strategy. Especially in a game where we hurt people after a lynch and we would need more time to gather information. Pms are allowed, Seer should start scrying on people and using proxys to guide town. What is the downside to that?Darn it Whisper !

Re: Arcade Games WW
This was the reason I even brought it up in public at all. And why it's not easy to just "drop it", since it'd hardly be the first or even tenth time a wolf has used such a tactic.
Edit: Though I was saying it was possible, rather than probable per say. I'm kind of 50/50 on it right now.Last edited by Ramsus; 2016-03-02 at 09:57 PM.

@basketofpuppies.
quicktopic was being wonky so I'm just gonna assume the game thread is open for us to talk.
I think we should faction kill Penguin. This guy is just too clever and I think he's gonna be onto us soon. I tried to push a mislynch on Kat but no takers. We'll have more influence as there's less townies.

Re: Arcade Games WW
You do what you want. I've got someone who can pretty much confirm my role at this point.
Follow the seer is a terrible strategy. It lets town sit there and be lazy and sheep everything. It lets wolves fly under the radar because they don't have the chance to slip up if all they have to do is vote for whoever the seer says. It doesn't help anyone become better players in the future. And network steamroll is incredibly frustrating for anyone who isn't network.
There's also the fact that the Seer for this particular game might be dead.
Sorry, Lex. You're looking a lot better, now.Last edited by Penguinator; 2016-03-03 at 12:44 AM.

Re: Arcade Games WW
Wait, what?
And of course our seer is dead so we can't check lulz :(
I don't know if that was someone not paying attention or lulz trying REALLY hard to throw Puppies under the bus?
Certainly less suspicious of you either way, Penguin.Last edited by Felandria; 2016-03-03 at 12:48 AM.

Re: Arcade Games WW
Forget checking lulz, he ought to be the next lynch regardless. If he's town, he's screwing around, and that's not helpful. If he's a wolf, we gained a lot of information.
And we don't know for sure that the Seer is dead, ImperatorV could have been the Fool. But it is probably worth scrying BasketOfPuppies tonight or tomorrow.Last edited by Penguinator; 2016-03-03 at 12:46 AM.

Re: Arcade Games WW
I agree, that's why I think BOP should at least get a scry.
It could be Lulz trying to get himself killed for some reason.
Or potentially, they're feuders.

Re: Arcade Games WW
It's.... still not day dude.
There's no point scrying someone doing what lulz is doing. You pretty much have to lynch them in almost all circumstances. Even in a situation where you practically know they aren't a wolf, they're just a huge distraction that prevents discussion and proper wolf hunting. No matter what the reason, I find the results here somewhat annoying.
Edit: I honestly hope it's just playing a role properly in just an un-fun for us way or some kind of accidental screw-up and a mad attempt at partially fixing the problem. Because the alternative is having to tell someone how to play in order to be allowed in games or not letting them play games at all and we really need more people these days, not less.
I wouldn't read much into lulz throwing around BoP's name. Nor would I suggest scrying someone immediately after an obvious "we should scry this person" moment or especially after people suggesting that person should be scried immediately. Not in a game with unknown powers. Lots of potential roles possible of screwing with a known action.Last edited by Ramsus; 2016-03-03 at 01:13 AM.

Re: Arcade Games WW
So morning has come and, now, it's pretty clear that lulz is trying to throw me under the bus for whatever reason. I'd assume that's the absolute wrong way to do it though. Though he may want to get lynched, either to get out of the game or he has an on-death power, such as a Beast effect. This still seems like an odd way of trying to get lynched.

Bop has a valid point. Lulz attempt seems to be so deliberate that it makes me feel he has ulterior motives for attracting so much attention to himself

Re: Arcade Games WW
I really don't know how to explain it more than I already did in what you quoted. We don't know what all the powers are so there is every chance there is at least one power that might be able to mess with the accuracy of a scry in one way or another. As such, it's a terrible idea to scry someone at a time when it is public knowledge that person will be being scried. You're just asking for a power redirection or disguise power or the like to interfere. As such any scry result that came back would be nearly worthless since we wouldn't be able to actually trust the result.
And even worse if some wolf has a power like targeting someone and knowing who else targets them. Then we've just handed the wolves the seer on a platter.
Edit: And there's the fact that for all we know the real Seer might be dead and we're left with the Fool. And not being able to trust their result makes it even harder for us/them to find out which they are.Last edited by Ramsus; 2016-03-03 at 05:55 PM.

Re: Arcade Games WW
Or, they could just have the Devil scry BOP and make interference. Waste of a scry, maybe, but it would make it no better for town.

Re: Arcade Games WW
Night 2 Over
It is another quiet night. Well, it seemed quiet, but clearly a lot happened. Behind closed doors there was yelling. After finally waking up, there is nothing good to be found. Another body lies on the ground. Well, it still isn't a body, but we'll call it one to make things easier. It appears to be some sort of sentient gun... or something. There's a scream from above, and as the characters look up, they realize what died last night. A massive centipede is banging against a clear roof.
Spoiler: ResultsRamsus died and was the centipede shooter, a good guy.

Re: Arcade Games WW
lulz is about as sketchy as you can get.
I'm curious as to whether or not we have any masons in a game this small.
