The paladin was not about to follow Boone down the road waving a handkerchief. Their conversation was done, his business was elsewhere, and she gave him the respectful nod that she would give anyone who showed themselves deserving of it. As for now, she still had food to square away and a horse to attend to.

The wood elf sharp eyes picked out the waterskin and the saddlebags that the Boone had left. He found it odd that someone of his experience would do that. Mistakes happen he thought as he walked over to the waterskin and casually picked it up and took a drink out of it. He then placed it with in his cloak without thinking.

Without much thought, he started going thru the saddlebags to see if there was anything interesting. A look of disappointed crossed his elven features there wasn't any gold in the saddlebags, he pocketed one of the vials of the reddish liquid to examine later. With a sigh he left the rest as it was.

The paladin frowned as she noticed the objects Boone had left -- and frowned deeper as she saw Fistar picking through them. Pushing off the wall she had been leaning against, Jessamyn approached the rogue and the travel-bags and reached past Fistar to tug them shut.

"He must have forgotten these in his haste," she said, redoing the clasps and hefting the bags from their place. "I will return them. Did you...take something?" she added, turning her cool green gaze to Fistar, lips still pressed flat in a less-than-pleased expression.

The wood elf looked at the stance and the frowning face of the paladin. He wondered if she knew that he had pocketed the vial. The waterskin was bulging under his cloak, so truthfully it was hard to hide anyways. He smiled at the paladin, taking out the waterskin. "He just left this waterskin, I was planning to really give it back to him if I saw him again. He did say to look him up when we get back to Gothmoor. " he shrugged, "No use chasing him down now, and we should probably continue on to where that map leads us. I would hate to waste time back tracking."

Etsia had slowly turned from tending to Elmshadow to stare at Fistar and Jessamyn as the conversation revealed what had happened. She blinked as she tried to figure out what was going on. Theft was practically an unheard of concept within her small tribe -- everyone knew each other and everything that was good for the tribe was good for every member. Fighting and challenges were normal for her, theft was as alien a thought as the buildings of Gothmoor had been as an environment. She opened her mouth, then closed it and blinked again.

Theft was neither uncommon nor entirely discouraged in the upbringing that the priestess had received, though it generally ended poorly if the thief were found out. Regardless of upbringing, the wood elf's act brought a frown to her face, "I agree with Jessamyn of Torm, the things should be returned at once and intact. Not only could they be necessary to his duties, but there could be items that have great personal value."

The faint sound of a woman's voice echoed through the ruins and bounced off the broken and uneven walls. The ambient sound of screams of help could be heard once, the discussions of Fistar's act were silent. Again the woman screamed, dire and distressed, the female's voice could be heard on the wind echoing off the ruins, ruining any attempt to discern it's origin.

The paladin's head snapped up at the sound of the cry, and she immediately disregarded Fistar's actions -- perhaps she would remember them later, but now was not the time.

"Someone needs to watch the horses," she called as she jogged after Etsia and Fistar, armor flashing, one hand on the hilt of the greatsword over her shoulder. Anything more organized had fled her mind at the sound of distress.

Someone did need to watch the horses but it would not have been her first choice with screams coming from nearby and she was not about to force Kelzir to stay alone to perform that task.

Instead, she simply shouted back an assurance that they would not be left untended, and looked to Kelzir. "We should remain near to listen for the horses, but the area nearby should also be searched. One never knows how sounds can bend in places such as this. ...unless you've a more sound plan, which would be welcomed..."

The screams weren't unheard by him either, though trained, the acoustics of this place were unknown to him. He nodded at his Mistress' words as he watched the others running off in what they hoped would be the right direction. Not thinking, he moved to their horses, gathering the reigns of three and coaxingly petting the one that the druid rode. Keeping them in one location and hopefully safe.

"Mistress, your powers may be needed by the person in distress. I can stay and mind the animals."

    Etsia, Fistar and eventually Jessamyn:
You come over a small rise, moving around a rather thick and high ruined wall, and notice the source of the scream. Two wagons sit ahead on the road, about 100 feet away. One of the wagons is turned over, and a few bodies lay stren about, bleeding and motionless. The other wagon has some movement on its back, two females, one of them screaming at something grabbing for her from the other side of the wagon. The other female is kicking and wielding a quarterstaff of her own, thwacking the green scaled arms and shouting at the green arms reaching for them both.

You can spot fighting happening around the other overturned wagon, spears and a sword going up and then down, but the wide wagon is blocking most of the details. whatever it is, you can see there are way more of them, than the surviving wagoneers.

Etsia Runs full out, moving up to a large bush in front of the first wagon. Jessamyn rushes up behind Etisa and stops on the edge of the street. Fistar moves to the same side as the girls, but moves out to one side, getting the same view of the fight.

A man, older than he is young, with sweat pouring down his face, and his salt and pepper hair smeared with blood, is barely holding off three huge lizards, walking on their back legs. The three reptiles have spears or staves, and the man is fending them off with a greatsword. three lizardmen lay dead at his feet.
Three other lizardmen are reaching into the one standing wagon where two women are fighting them off. One has the look of an obviously terrified noble, and the other is waving a staff around like a she-demon, fending off the repitlian attacks.
You notice that another lizardman, larger and stockier than the others is standing, off to the edge of the jungle, watching and not moving, but he does in fact have a bow which is nocked.
