Default Making a cloister cleric for sandstorm

Hello all, as the title said: i am making a first level cloistered cleric for a game in the sandstorm setting.
the DM said i may choose my domains, i picked Time, Travel, and as a cloistered cleric i get knowledge as we all know.
    -Spontaneous Domain casting feature
    -Cloistered Cleric
-my stats are str: 11 dex: 15 Con: 16 Int: 14 Wis: 17 Cha: 17
    -human
-my diety is Tem Et Nu for flavors sake.
-my feats are heat endurance and drift magic(willing to change this if it ruins optimization)

I mainly wish to be a buffer/primary caster. almost all books are applicable, races that are off limit is so few its not worth mentioning, but kobolds is off the table. any tips on how i can make this an amazing primary caster/buffer? id like to keep him a pure cleric, but i am willing to prestige or even multi class later on. let me know if you need more info to help.

DMM: Persist is great for buffing.
Prestige Paladin 1, Battle Blessing is also damn handy

    Player: But there's masonry.
DM: It's not even animate, let alone sentient.
Player: That's ok. I'll take the penalty.

this is a really good idea, ive never used persist in conjunction with DMM. ill have to get rid of drift magic for meta magic feats.
