Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
To me, I guess it depends on the content of Mikael's message, and whether you think it would provide a meaningful addition. At this point I'd like some more involvement anyway. Hell, where's somebody to control the army?
I rather doubt they'd sit with their thumbs up their butts while a monster was tearing Tokyo apart.Last edited by strawberryman; 2016-06-03 at 12:16 PM.

Well it'd be meaningful to me. Beyond that, it'd be one of those "as-meaningful-as-you-make-it" things.

Frozen, you're trying to do a time passes thing with Sarah and the Arrancar, right?
About how much time are you thinking passes?
Because I'm thinking she might explode again.I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

A day or two. I'll try to make a post tomorrow morning. I have nothing against Sarah exploding. The Arrancar low-lives might have, but hey, their opinion isn't being asked.

A little deep to introduce in a exposition/bad end episode, but hey, maybe I'm wrong and it's just the right place for it. I certainly wouldn't complain.

Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
You're not far off the mark, actually.
Basically, the first thing anyone with governamental powers would want upon discovery of supernatural powers would be weaponization or self-defense. So they'd need someone who manipulates Reishi at the least.
(I recall one of my initial concerns with Tamaki's powerset was that he could eventually do exactly that, figure out the blueprints for ready-to-use spiritual weaponry.)The Void, the Cold Steel, the Just Sword courtesy of Prime32.

...I think you misunderstood what I meant.
When i first saw the word "Spritech" in relation to government or military organization was "The Men in black equipped with the Ghostbusters' gear."
Absolutely unrelated to anything we've done here*, but still.

Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
1) Gotei are the MIB. Seriously, their memory-erasing devices are direct homage as far as I can tell.
2) The land did have another native, super-secret sect of defenders who can control Reishi: Quincies. Who are mostly gone by now.
What I'm saying is that introducing a previously-unknown governmental spirit corps warps the setting even more. You want to have someone spiritually aware helping the government, have it be last remnants of the Akiyama family who spilled the beans to mundane authorities."It's the fate of all things under the sky,
to grow old and wither and die."

I've been planning for Sarah to eventually get a helmet for her armor for a while now.
Since her armor's been absorbing Hollow energy and probably will be absorbing hollow energy for a while now, I'm going to based the face plate of the helmet on a hollow mask aesthetic.(it would have been a much more heavily stylized skull if she'd been absorbing any other kind of energy.)
The Teeth and Jawbone looking plate/mouth guard is the start of that.I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

Kuzunoha work just as well. My point is that we should use what's already there, not introduce redundant, never-seen-before factions.

Mikael made eleven. Several of them have since assumed more distinctive forms.
They were made from Sin Rostro, which in turn were made of mindless Gillians. Hence why they're all similar.
It was Mahonri Violist who came up with the ideas of how they look and how they function. I've just been running with it ever since."It's the fate of all things under the sky,

Oh, by the way: are you planning for Sarah's teacher to play a part in the game, or do you want to keep him background-only?
What about the Menos that came after Sarah earlier? Do you want to revisit that?
@Cardrian: now would be a good time to tell the black Arrancar whether Torahiko will stay or go with Chuck."It's the fate of all things under the sky,

Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
completely honest, he was just a plot device for her backstory-essentially he was an Expy/Composit of the X-Cution: Teach character about Fullbring, help them develop it, then try to take it for their own.
The only thing I know for sure is that he has a habit of steeling powers and that his personal fullbring isn't a Clad Type.
I suppose he could show up, but I don't see the point right now.
What about the Menos that came after Sarah earlier? Do you want to revisit that?
Though I'll note, you're making a lot of assumptions about the hollow in question.I also answer to Bookmark and Shadow Claw.

Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
Your confusing my assumptions with my characters; either way, that set of assumptions was based on typical Menos behaviour. Don't read too much into it.
Regarding Jonathon, based on what's Sarah said, the black-clad Arrancars would be able to pay him a visit on their own later down the line."It's the fate of all things under the sky,
to grow old and wither and die."

Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
Sorry for not posting in the last couple of days, folks, had some stuff going on that's kept me busy. I'll try to reply where appropriate tonight.
EDIT: @Frozen_Feet, I can't reply with Chuck until it's made clearer if any/all of the Quincy are going with Chuck. If that means Torahiko needs to reply first, that's fine.
If that means we just happen to have Shinji, Masaru, and Momoka slip in before he has a chance to leave, all the better.

Re: [BitPRē] OOCVII: In Soviet Russia, Zanpakutou Names YOU!!
Hey Kuroi! :)
As you can see, I've been around once before, but that was in a previous iteration of the game. I just love him so much I can never bear to take him out of my sig.
Right now, I'm poking at Hikaru, and three others. All shinigami. I appear to have a "type." Although I am considering changing one of them to a Fullbringer.
One is Kurogane Shunji, once upon a time a highly-seated shinigami of the erstwhile Onmitsukido. On a mission to pursue and eliminate a target, he infiltrated Hueco Mundo and the Forest of Menos and was lost in action, stranded in that place. While there, he somehow lost his shikai, but picked up several Hollow-like abilities and a white mask that conceals his presence. Now returned, he reports the target was eliminated, and claims that he gave up his release because it was "too loud." Other stuff, too. He would currently be under watch to make sure he didn't actually become a Hollow or something like that. He's the one I'm thinking about changing over to a Fullbringer.
The second is Katsu Saburo, a seated officer of the Command Division. He has a knack for leading and teaching others. He teaches a class in "Assimilated Kido Arts," helping seated and unseated officers alike in learning and brushing up their basic hand signals, group dynamics, teamwork, fitness, hakudo; kaido, hoho and demon arts staples. It's much like a very patient kind of remedial shinigami academy. For his more advanced students, he provides them with an opportunity to practice their zanjutsu and shikai powers. Is the command division the one responsible for the hell butterflies, now? Or is that still Log&Med? I suppose, before I go any further with him, I should know that stuff.
The last is Susumu Takahiro. Gonna be honest, here, he's not developed. I tinker with him from time to time. I'm mostly just excited with his shikai, but it's a strong enough feeling that I would build a character around the concept just to see it in action.Last edited by Ammutseba; 2016-06-07 at 02:35 PM.
