    Default Magic: the Gathering Planeswalkers

I'm writing a new Innistrad adventure and the PCs may come across 3 planeswalkers: Liliana, Cursed Garruk, and Arlinn Kord

My current plan is to have Liliana be CR 18, Liliana with the Veil CR 23, Cursed Garruk to be CR ~10-13, and Arlinn I'm not sure. This version of Garruk is hallucinating, slipping in and out of consciousness, and still trying to use his depleting Green mana while its being replaced by nascent black mana. It's before he starts embracing the black mana and goes murder-crazy, hence why he's significantly weaker.

    Innistrad Planeswalkers:
    Liliana Vess (CR 18)
    Garruk, the Veil-Cursed (CR 13)
    Arlinn Kord
    Sorin Markov (CR 25)

Can you make an Kharn Unbound? I think that would be really cool 😊

Arlin Kord might be CR 12 by herself but she has so many abilities that boost others she might be signifcantly harder than that.

maybe a variation on the cavalier class?

    Also: Why no Sorin?

After those first three yeah, I can make Karn.

My adventure doesn't currently have plans to include him, but he is around so might as well stat him up.

I assume he'd be very high in CR. I put Avacyn as the MtG equivalent of a Solar (CR 21) and even post-mending he took her out rather easily. For Sorin, I'd probably aim for CR 25.

Here is Garruk, the Veil-Cursed (CR 13)!

Garruk has been cursed by Liliana. The beastmage's powers are weakening with each passing day as the curse saps his green-aligned magic, replacing it with nascent black-aligned magic. The nearby wildlife now shuns him, and Garruk's own summoned creatures have the same rotted, corrupted features that cover his own body. Garruk has tracked Liliana to Innistrad, hoping to force the death-mage to remove the curse, or to get his revenge.

I like Garruk looks pretty well put together. Are you using a tool to put them together in that format?

    looks great :)

Just clarify, that damage caused by the artifact is not resisted by its resistance against all damage.

Thanks, I'll update Lili to clarify.

In the meantime, here is the updated and fancy version of Garruk, the Veil-Cursed!

Hey, I'm going to be running your "Armies do the Damned" campaign in about a month and a half, and plan on expanding on the first campaign you payed out- in addition to probably using the new adventure you're going to publish.

I was including several planes walkers at some point, so the fac that you've started them really makes my life a lot easier. I'm definitely going to give these a look. Thank you so much!

These are very well done! I may be getting greedy here, but do you have any plans to stat out the original planeswalkers from Magic's Dominaria era, such as Urza, Yawgmoth, and the like?

Lore quibble: Yawgmoth wasn't a planeswalker.
