Ah, one of the nice parts about being an evil God is that I can just lock in/out anyone I don't like (which is nearly everyone). Keeping the plane to myself also helps.

For the vitae lock, I would suggest just barring those that do not worship one of the Vitae. Sure, it might be subject to violent insurrection from within, and the good-hearted-but-have-the-wrong-religion, but, as always, it's the balance of convenience and security, and you'll likely have to settle on one side or the other. Maybe some angels don't get into heaven for their violent thoughts and deeds. Maybe some good folks don't get in due to unintended discrimination against race or creed. An imperfect lock could be quite interesting.

Alternatively, maybe all the members of the vitae fully intend to put in a good lock, but can never settle on a perfect set of regulations, and argue about it until the end of this Creation.

    EDIT:

Why not just do a karmic lock? Good deeds are compared to bad and those with a certain ratio or above get into heaven. You could still make it racist or otherwise unfair by playing with said ratio (like a lower one for vitae worshippers, damn near impossible for a Destined faithful, etc).
Back on my normal work schedule. Updates will happen when I can finangle them at work or on my nights off on Monday and Friday (unless I get caught up doing something else).

    Your understanding is appreciated.

See, the problem is that you need to define "good" and "evil" here.

Which haven't really been defined within the world yet.

    Don't be a murderhobo.
Don't be a typical RPG hero (breaking into houses, stealing everything, saving the game and going on a rampage, etc).

Do be kind to your neighbors.

You know, typical Demonic Court versus Liberated type stuff.

The concepts just made will not get through dimension locks, and if anyone wants to stop them before they reach their planes then feel free to say they do not reach them! However, mortals on the First World (at the very least) most definitely have Optimism and a Sense of Community now.

The last couple years I either play Immobile Horrors or Animals in Denial.
Things were a LOT more simple when you were playing a music god.

Also, off to D&D, so might be a while before I respond again.

Other than locking the plane I don't think there is anything Vitae wide planned this week. Maybe making an artifact or the hell plane.

I was going to make psionics with Camelopardalis, but he has not done anything in a while.

I actually was trying to remember this game so I actually went searching for it. I played the god of Heavy Metal!

Also, I found this for those who are curious - I was ambitious three years ago, apparently, and actually tried to summarize the story happening in LOC in my own prose (and metal music). It looks like I gave up . . . two thirds of the way through the IC, but I think it came out pretty well. Funny reading it now - since even I barely have any context to the actual events except vauge memories. It sounds pretty epic and came out with a much more coherent story than I thought it would.

    Anyway, enjoy!

Spoiler: Story from an LOC variant from . . . 3 years ago. You can safely Ignore This!

    Story

    Prologue

    Spoiler
    Show
There was a creator once – there was a world – there were people – there were wonders, endless wonders but also strife. The world had sprung from the void, with but a thought – creation was so easy; so wondrous. And for centuries there was a peace of sorts. Sure there was war and death, but under the creator’s eye – existence flourished. Then, one day the creator had an urge – a ridiculous irresistible urge. A compulsion, a twitch that he couldn't shake; so he traveled far far away from the world he wrought from nothing and fled to a forgotten corner of reality.

Here he grabbed a stray star in his hands and looked at it. Create – it was the only word that he had ever spoken, but this new word . . . it resonated in the unfathomable caverns of his mind! The word was: Destroy!

The Creator took the sun in his grasp and closed his hands around it, chocking the light out of it, and cracking it underneath the greatest pressure; existence ever knew . . . or was meant to know. The Star dimmed, and then shone, for the Creator never destroyed and did not know his strength, for he cracked a hole in the universe itself. And just like that all his creations, all the work and effort he put into existence was snuffed out. . . and finally he began to crack and break – for he killed himself as well. His last thoughts though were of childish glee – tearing down the castle was just too much fun. And with that he broke, his being giving birth to a new existence, an empty one with nothing within except the last pieces of the creator himself. . . . The seeds of mayhem, which will one day become the GODS OF DESTRUCTION!

The First Age: The Tower Risen

    Spoiler
    Show

In the beginning there was silence, and then Music was born. Goven let loose the fires of Sound and Metal into reality. And with that the other gods began to wake from their slumber.

The first gods crafted a world, a ball of dirt, dust, water and sand. It was to be an orb of misery and despair. The first mortals to dwell there were made and then abandoned by their god: Kararet, the lord of wrath who fed on their hate. The creatures were besieged with boiling acid waters, steroid tempests and vile plague. They lived only to hunt and be hunted by the fractured remains of Syrpynt, The Ragnarok Serpent, the spawn of Heathrow. They were pierced by the talons of Harpy Angels. And in the end - they all died.

The Harpy Angels were also devastated. When Goven's Music awoke the Great Glass Dragon, he broke sound itself - wiping it from existence, and then took out his anger upon the angels - shredding them all apart. Goven implanted a physical material metal soul into each creature on that day, and the souls of Angels rained down upon the ruined world.

Andragore awoke and looked around in the darkness and saw death, but did not disapprove, except to the fact that only the gods could see. And so he made a giant Sun, which brought light to the mistakes of the gods.

And many careless and arrogant mistakes were made - but the gods could maybe be forgiven, for they were still young. But there were great wonders too in those first days. Asher wrought a monument to honor the creator who came before time - a vast web upon which each star and planet hung. Chemosh hung upon the web a world of death and undeath of flesh and spirit. He created Psychopomps to search the cosmos for metal souls to bring to the world of death which would become a physical afterlife.

Before Pantheons, Before Family - there was only loneliness and chaos - the only music that played was heard in the tiny metal orbs that mortals would call souls. It was the music of the primal fear of nothing. Yet no Divine blood had yet been spilled; then the Executor of the Creators Will raised his lids once more and began to contemplate a successor. He wrought a terrible weight onto his own head, the heavy suicide crown - for this was not about him; his purpose was to find a heir, it was the Creator's last wish and he was the god of last wishes.

And so he judged the Tyrant God of Light unworthy and attacked him. Kararet, the God of Hate, having tasted divine suffering for the first time laughed in glee and joined the attack. Asher flayed the God of Authority of his own authority; but while they say that absolute power corrupts it did not corrupt Asher. No he, took the skin of Authority and placed it upon his shoulders, because Tyranny was the Tyrants last wish. It was who he was - he obeyed the wish of the dead, even if they were dead by his own hand. At the same time the God of Life had found, if not a friend, but an ally against the destruction - the God of Music. And while the two debated the value of life, they also debated if the song must end - the song of the universe - the ending being Asher.

Asher over heard the plot through his web of stars and now no longer the peaceful god of just death, he found an ally in the God of Undeath. Death and After Death journeyed to the Metallic moon of The Uncaring God of Nature which was a gift to Music. There the Executor attacked the God of Music, with the aid of the God of Hate and the curious watching eyes of the God of Undeath. After a fierce Battle, Asher devoured the weaker god, imprisoned him in his own now bloated body and vanished, leaving the God of Life alone with Chemosh and Kararet; the first world crumbling below: the metallic core in shattered shambles.

The God of Last Wishes alone with the God of Music, began his tortures. He isolated him and ripped out his tongue, Music itself, and made him feast on the decaying God of Tyranny. But this occured in the shadows of the center of reality; elsewhere the brutality subsided as life was being made. Joshua the God of Life, saddened over the loss of his ally assumed the responsibilities of his office, and began to spread life and care for it, planning vengance.

And while he was not the First to rise above, he was among many, the Gods began to climb in power. If existence was a pit and the creator's station was the entrance than some among the gods have taken those first brave steps towards the light. Nature, Death and Life strode forwards. Perhaps all was going according to Asher's plan?

The mortals grew as well, new life sprung forth at every instance. The surviving Angels of the Glass Halocaust, had at this time had formed the first society and fled towards a new land, The Shattered Lands, far away from the First Broken World. There their god, Aneros, The Dancer, had a sudden realization - all mortals would suffer at the whims of the Gods, so he gave birth to a duaghter: Valivian, The Queen of Scapegoats. She was to bare all the pain and suffering of the Angels, indeed hers was a sad existence which was to suffer for the mortals. Aneros heart broken over the life which he had commanded for his duaghter apologized but nontheless resolved himself.

But as always with Life, there is Death. Atum, the Plague Lord, the Living Swarm gave birth to the dreaded Blight-Carriers, which spawned from the planets destroyed by Air Rot. He allowed his creations to fly through the universe, spreading their deadly goods . . .

The Senseless Destruction of countless Planets drove the God of nature to such a fury that he lashed out in rage, cutting the God of the Night down. Tearing his arms off and ripping out his spine, the Elceir was Nature personified - cruel and animalistic. Where the Night God's blood touched, it mixed with the metal and produced countless new forms of life. Eclier his bloodlust sated, reached into his Mirror of Inversion and pulled out the second planet hidden within and seeded it with this new life before returning it to the safety of the mirror.

The God of Life, realizing that to fufill his ambitions he must fufill his duties began to wander around the universe directing evolution. While the God of Hate learned the lessons of protection and sheilded his creations, the Shapeless, from the blights of Atum. The God of Undeath continued making his world of flesh and afterlife unimpeded - and in his eternal boredom, even made all the schools of magic in the world.

Elsewhere while Asher came to the God of Hate to show him the enslaved humbled former God of Music, two more gods had risen. The first was mortal born, a giant, - taking his power from a former god that had hidden from his breathren. The second was a being that represented everything wrong with this world - a being of fire and fancy, a being of Unrelenting Brutality; whose, first action was to burn down time itself!

The end of the first age saw a great battle. There were many players, but needless to say it was the frightened angry shade that used to be the God of Music who raised the battlefield and then rang the bell. He was after all the god of music still. The Great Glass dragon however survived the attack and claimed mastery over the Tower of God, becoming something more than glass – Becoming Rainbow and Light itself – Lord of the Sworn Sword Sons and the Tower in the center of creation. In the meantime the young god of mortals in penance of his mistake of fracturing souls and the harming of the web of the universe - Asher’s own daughter - and thus wrought a ring of life around creation; only for Eclier the uncaring to slice it apart and make it a necklace around his own neck. Eclier smiled, but there was no warmth in his eyes, for they were the eyes of nature - powerful and unknowable.

While Joshua – knowing that Life needed protecting instead of just making - gathered many other gods to lead a final assault against Asher and Karaket. Convincing the young gods of Fire, Honor, Earth and Debasement to his cause; he struck a blow against the God of Hatred. Killing him and ripping him to shreds, Joshua did not give into Karaket’s domains and instead flung them at Asher. Goven still Asher’s slave defended his master with his chains ,but it was not enough – he was stabbed with the blades of three gods – and when he tried to attack, Joshua, the immovable God of Life, merely raised his hand in pity, for there was no anger, and Asher's power dissipated like dust in the void. Goven in grief and confusion sung a song without his tongue and made a black hole above the tower, and was gone, alone once again.

And throughout this all the God of Undeath, looked on in bemusement and grew in power – for all of magic was ruled by his hands and his hands never rested; nor were they ever interrupted. And thus the First Age ended, Asher’s fate would dawn the Second Age. This was the age of mistakes, and growth, and realizations. This was the age of heroes and villains, in the times when time itself was on fire and brother gods killed each other in the sky. This was the first age of Brutality.

I was thinking after fun times with moons I'd throw in a Sealife domain for the next tier. Krakens and Sahuagin, oh my!
Back on my normal work schedule. Updates will happen when I can finangle them at work or on my nights off on Monday and Friday (unless I get caught up doing something else).

    Your understanding is appreciated.

I feel like i should expand upon the magic of the holy word the same way others have done with their own schools of magic.

It's...kind of complicated at this point. There was Rathazook's demonic corruption of the tieflings that started it, the tensions between tieflings and liberated, and the various skirmishes that have been going on as a background with the demon war. Curse-wise, there's the 3 PAP combined Curse of Deceit, Curse of the Deadly Sins, and Change Corrupts, which make most nasty emotions addictive and encourage conflict. This was partly (?) counter-cursed by Rylios' 2 AP Remedy of Virtue, which encourages virtue and amplifies guilt. Then there's Vareth Myr's 1 AP Fires of War curse, which encouraged conflict and everyone fighting, and was countered/redirected by Rylios' 2 AP A Common Enemy counter-curse, which channelled that towards demon fighting.. There's also Manyara's Sin-Eaters, great big snakes that eat emotions and cough up sin-drugs wandering around the place.

I...think that's everything related to the conflict, but I might have missed something.

So err... would 2 AP stop it if it's just targeted to make the lands of Xaka peaceful? That's alot of various effects...
