The big room is silent except for the rustling of webs disturbed by fire and movement.

The phase spider appears at the turn in the hallway, and several members of the party burst into action. Tharia’s axe bites into the spider as it tries to handle the many threats around it, Ganis lands a jet of fire dead center, and Khurdrum cracks its exoskeleton with his spiked chain.

Ferris slices open the bundle of webbing with a long, dexterous stroke. The webbing rips, tears, and keeps moving after his sword is to the side, as a skeleton pushes itself up off the ground, lifting the sheet of webbing and tossing it to the side.

Ferris and Tharia both strike at the skeleton as it stands. Ferris' blade skips off of the shield, while Tharia hits hard enough to break several bones. The skeleton retaliates by clawing ineffectually in Ferris' general direction.

Did you know that Skeletons receive Improved Initiative as a bonus feat?

As the skeletons stand, a few piles of gold pieces are disturbed and clatter to the ground, along with a few other small items you don’t have time to inspect now.

The skeleton closest to Ferris is carrying a small metal shield which still appears to be undamaged, and indeed barely dirty. The next skeleton back has thicker bones and might have originally been one of the humanoids the group recently fought. The one in the back is another human-sized skeleton, and is wielding a bow. Its quiver of arrows is partly inside its ribcage, but you think it can probably reach the arrows to draw and fire when it has time.
