While caressing the back of the cat's head at his side, the dragonborn nods with a satisfied smile as the last of the felines darts away in the distance. "We should get moving, the snow will pick up the longer we wait and scavengers will soon be upon those corpses." he picks up and eats one of the berries and offers a last one to any around him willing, "We should seek both shelter and answers in that cave, then think our next move."

The trail leads into a rough passage in the side of a cliff. The 10-foot-wide passage winds and descends slightly as it heads off into the hill. Sharp icicles hang from the 15-foot-high ceilings, and the floor is littered with long, thin chunks of ice. The inky blackness is all you can see in front of you past the icicle-filled cave mouth.

You see that the path twists and turns a bit to the left, deeper into the hill.

At this point I will need the marching order, simply say first middle or last.

Ri had to fall back, he was too damn short and frosty. At such times even he would think of a fine hole somewhere, with a hearth and a pint of Luiren's Best in hand.

"Let me lead." Athon's voice is low and he moves with measured footsteps creeping deeper into the cave system keeping an eye out for signs of their quarry.

The dragonborn gently holds Athon's shoulder for a moment as he goes in, "Be wary of your head." he nods towards the long icy teeth growing down from above, then follows the barbarian, looking behind for a moment, trying to see how the snow cat is faring.

For Athon but everyone can see:
Athon walks through the opening of the cave mouth, focussing on the ground below. However as he's not focussing on the ceiling, he doesn't realize what's about to happen until it's too late...

For Everyone:
The icicles from above fall down above Athon's head, and all of you can just barely make out a "wheeeeee" sound from the icicles, almost like they were waiting for victims, specifically, Athon.

Athon please give me a Dexterity Save vs. DC 10, on a failure you will take (2d4)[3] on a success he will take half.

Athon simply ducks low in response to Hofkah's advice and is shocked by faint noise and movement from above, attempting at the last moment to raise his shield.

You duck under the falling icicles, bringing up your shield as the keen points smash into it. Now might be a good time to get moving deeper into the cave, after all you begin to notice that some of the icicles are beginning to grow back!

Unsure of who can and cant see in the dim tunnel, Athon remains in the lead, he speaks a little louder now to help guide the others. "Perhaps some brightness might help down here more eyes better and requesting farley with the Gur will be easier if we do not hide." His voice is staring to waver despite himself as his injuries slow and panic him a little.

The dragonborns seems to rummage through the various pockets and herb pouches dangling from his garbs, but ends up frustrated "It seems I came to this journey rather misprepared, friends. If one of you would be so kind as to provide a light source, that would be most useful." then looking at the icicles growing back over the ceiling, he scratches his scaly chin and ponders "Say... I wonder if those would grow back after being drenched in acid. Shall we find out? Or dare we sprint in?"

"Well running seems our best and only option." Athon increases his pace hoping to find a safe area.

Lander mutters a prayer to Tymora, Help us o' Lady!, and unable to see in the dark, blindly follows and runs!

For Everyone:
You all rush past the icicles just as they're about to regrow, you delve deeper into the cave, trying to peer farther into its depths, and lighting a torch to aid in the endeavor. The cave suddenly turns to the left as you notice a faint light flickering from beyond... What do you do?

"That was a close call" the halfling says tightly. He clutches the rough wall to steady himself. "What's that? An exit?" Regaining his breath he trots forward, glad that the risky bout into the cave wouldn't leave them trapped in a dead-end.

The dragonborn tries his best for some silent steps at the end of the sprint, urging the halfling to quiet down while whispering "Shh! Fire-light, someone must be ahead of us, maybe even our quarry." he mutters something in his archaic language, gripping his club and blessing it with energy, "Be prepared, friends."

OOC: Yay! People! Also, sorry guys, school just started so I've been super busy, but I'm still here!

Everyone can see:
You head towards the light, extinguishing your own. Some of you try to be stealthy while others (Cyrvin) actually are. However, the loud noise the rest of you are making gives your position away to even a deaf bat. As you make a turn you finally see where the light is coming from: Within a cavern at the end of the icicle passage, a young human clutches pieces of thin wood in each hand. The flickering lantern at his feet plays shadows off his terrified face. Four creatures, like large bats with long, pointed mouths, hover about him. Occasionally, a spark of red energy arcs between the two wood fragments, driving the flying creatures back momentarily. Humanoid bones litter the edges of the cavern. As you enter the cavern, angry that they have not been able to catch their shielded prey, the flying creatures fly straight towards you!
