Suburban Survival

It's the 1^st and possibly only Annual Suburban edition of Survival. Not to be confused with another show with "Survivors" who are really just backstabbing morons who ha- ack!! You have been chosen based on your profiles submitted to fight amongst... I mean compete against one another for a grand prize of one hundred thousand gold pieces! Wait what? It's not that much anymore? What!? Only... Ahem! I stand corrected. Five thousand gold pieces. Seems the senior VP in charge of funds has disappeared, and with her ninety-five thousand of your winnings. So guess what! If you find her, you also get ninety-five thousand... After the trial of course, as the money will be held as evidence until everything is sorted out.

Name: What's your character's secret identity. Please try to be original. But, if you can't think of anything, feel free to
borrow one from someplace.

Race: Human. You are all humans.

Description: Describe your character.

Abilities, how they will survive: Describe what exactly makes them special.

Secret: PM me the secret you wish to hide from your fellow survivalists.

Let's take a look at Lexi Alexandria III, shall we? ((Sample Profile))

Name: Lexi Alexandria III

Race: Human. Duh!

Description: Small winged creature with near-transparent wings of purple and pink. Or at least.... that's the costume she wears, even as an official adult. She's 4'9", with a purple leotard and tutu on. Her hair is done up in a bun, most of the time, and it is died lavender, and she wears violet contact lenses.

Weapons/Skills/Superpowers: Flaming Chihuahua!- Well, not really flaming. It's just her pet Chihuahua, Flaming. And the cute lil' thing will attack anyone her mistress sicks her on.

Pixie Dust- Lexi loves pixie stix, and carries about ten giant stix with her every day. They're more deadly than you might think.

POP!- She also carries a bottle or two of soda. This handy weapon can be used in many different ways.

Secret: Lexi has a strange fascination with pixies. Good thing she hides it so well.

I. Character creation

1. Post your character's name and a description in the recruitment thread.
1.1 The name should be appropriate for the theme of the game.
1.2 The description should include at least the character's favored method of killing. Other details on his appearance, personality and modus operandi are also appreciated.
2. Send the Narrator your character's secret in a PM. What the secret is depends on the theme of the game, but it is usually a secret identity or vulnerability.

Secret: PM this to me: do NOT post it on the game thread. This may be a skeleton in your character's closet or an actual physical weakness.

II. The game round

1. The Narrator post a list of all remaining characters, and a list of secrets that are connected to those characters.

2.1 Send the Narrator a PM with a guess. If you can guess correctly which secret belongs to which character, that character dies at the end of the round. Write your guess in the following format: [character] is [secret]
2.2 Once you've sent your PM, you cannot change your guess. The only exception to this rule is that if your target is invalid, you can change your target.
2.3 You can only target characters and secrets listed by the Narrator.
2.4 You cannot target your own character, but you can target your character's secret.
2.5 The deaths occur simultaneously, and thus it is possible for two characters to kill each other, or even for all remaining characters to die on the same round.
2.6 If two or more players kill the same target, it counts as an assisted kill for each of the players.
2.7 Lone kills count as 1 point. Assisted kills count as a half point, regardless of how many assisted.
2.8 If you don't send a PM to the Narrator, or your PM does not have a valid guess in it, you are considered to be absent on that round. Three consecutive absences result in auto-elimination.
2.9 You are allowed to send your guess in advance if you know you'll otherwise be absent on a round. You may include conditions as necessary to avoid choosing an invalid target.

3. You may roleplay your character in the game thread. It is not obligatory, but it is recommended (helps me write better narrations. ).

4. You may make pacts with other players. A pact may be public (made in the game thread) or secret (made in PMs). In either case, any such pacts are non-binding.

5.1 When 72 hours (3 days) have passed or everyone has sent in their PMs, the Narrators narrate the deaths and lists all guesses made that round.
5.2 The correct guesses are listed in the following format: Player 1 says Player 2 is a "Secret".
5.3 Incorrect guesses will not be bolded: Player 2 says Player 1 is a "non-secret".

6.1 The Narrators checks how many players are left.
6.2 If there are no characters alive, the game is over and there is no winner.
6.3 If there is one character left, that player wins the game.
6.4 If there are two characters left, the one with more points wins; if it's still a tie, the one with the most unassisted kills determine the winner. If it's still a tie, then.... it's a Tie!
6.5 If there are three or more characters left, a new round begins.

[Silent_Interim]

Name: Mister Dust

Race: Human.

Description: Large. In every set of directions. Fat, tall, and wide, he's almost grotesque in his sheer size. It's a wonder he can get clothing. He wears clothing that would be dapper and gentlemanly if he weren't insanely large.

Abilities: Sheer fatness- he's large enough that his flesh can stop basically any blow. His weight is enough to crush bones if he stands or sits on someone. He can hide what's visible of his limbs inside his enormous rolls of flesh.

Secret: Actually just a tiny man inside an enormous flesh suit.

[Black Socks]

I come to you from an iPad in New Brunswick! My new baby second cousin is so cute!

Name: Tracer B.

Race: Human

Description: Thin, on the short side, light brown messy hair, blue eyes, tan skin, prefers to wear earthy colours, always has a pun ready (it's usually terrible).

Abilities: Ninja skills, fights with a short sword. Usually carries around a small packet of birdseed because he likes to feed birds. Also, has been known to use a pun so terrible it immobilised his foe. Talented in parkour.

Secret (not actual): He doesn't have a last name- it says 'Tracer B.' on his birth certificate.

Character: Josh C.

Race: Hooman

Description: this 40-something man lives alone with his plethora of firearms. He has a gun for every occasion, but isn't all there mentally. He has built a bunker underneath his home for when the Enemy launches WMD's.

He prefers shotgunning people to death, but any gun will do.

Abilities: he just has a lot of guns and is competent with them.

Secret: his guns are all painted water guns.

Name: Mercedes Lancaster

Race: Hjumen

Description: Born into royalty, Mercedes has always kept an eye on the throne, and the other on everyone else. Being extremely paranoid, she makes sure no one can ever even put a finger on her golden curls. She always has a wide array of flamboyant dresses, ready to keep all the attention on her.

Abilities: Mercedes is a master of manipulation. She has a way of making people do what she wants, even if it goes directly against their beliefs.

She has a network of people that work for her, who usually take care of her dirty work. Should the need arise, swift death can always be achieved with a slash from one of her many concealed blades.

Secret: She would do anything for a peach. Anything.

Name: Hours, Hours McLander

Race: Human~

Description: Despite her name, Hours has a... less than satisfactory sense of time (It really is awful). Constantly confused, this 30 something lady enjoys spending her time knitting extravagant clothes and training her 5 dogs. She has long black and blue hair, shaved at one side. As well as an unusually pleasant personality.

Abilities: has learned how to think on her feet. As a bendy, bendy ruler, her flexibility (in tough situations) is a huge asset. She enjoys experimenting with different methods of murder. So far, poison, and her dogs have had the best results.

Secret: Hours hates dogs. There really just robots~

Name: Duck Meister

Race: Alien... Not human, I guess

Description: Short and round. Often seen walking around in a rubber duck costume. Is often mistaken for a large rubber duck while in said costume.

Abilities:
A horde of well-trained ducks, ready to fight for Mr. Duck Meister.
Being able to disguise himself as a rubber duck.
Has a lot of ducks, both real and rubber.

Secret: Likes ducks...

Name: Howard Bannister

Race: Human

Description: Tall, lanky, somewhat plain, yet somehow handsome with chiseled abs despite being an academic. He wears thick-rimmed glasses, a blue suit with a tie he always seems to have trouble with, and carries a plaid leather suitcase. He is clumsy and easily flustered, yet somehow even accidents tend to work out in his favor in the end. He wasn't trying to enter the contest, he was just on the way to the corner store for some aspirin (the kind with bufferin) and this is all just one, big, growing misunderstanding.

Abilities: He's a musicologist. His suitcase contains his collection of igneous rocks, which he theorizes were once used by primitive men to form crude music. Of course he constantly misplaces the suitcase with a completely identical one that might contain women's underwear, classified government documents, or priceless jewelry. He is constantly the butt of pratfalls, somehow surviving what should be colossal, fatal accidents, including a hotel fire, a mob shootout, and a car chase involving a Chinese dragon.

Secret: That's not Eunice.

[Airea]

Name: Judy Maxwell

Race: Human.

Description: A tall, very pretty, blond with a trim button up shirt, fitted jean, and a cute newsboy's cap. She had a plaid bag containing her personal effects that just seems to be confused with other, identical, bags. Judy is happy, eager, highly intelligent and knows nearly everything.

Abilities, how they will survive: Judy has both rotten and amazing luck. Merely by walking across a street, visiting a drug store or ordering dinner she can cause car accidents, broken glass and light injury or full on meltdowns. Conversely, after the chaos, she come out on top and everything is actually better then it was when it began.

Secret: She's bounced from school to school for sometime, hence her wealth of knowledge, due to things just going wrong. Buildings blowing up (chemistry major) and the like. She just wants to graduate.

Character: Noir Ritter

Race: Human

Description: An attempted writer, Noir makes his living through a bookshop. Most of the time he's interested in getting details for a new story,
wearing a black jacket on his trips around town, blond hair a messy from not bothering to comb it very often.

Abilities: Fairly athletic and very quick on his feet with coming up with plans to get out of trouble. Also has a motorcycle.

Secret: Trying to make a profit with the bookshop before he runs out of inheritance money.

Name: Jessica Soho

Race: Human???

Description: A little old lady past the prime of her age. Super short (4' 8'') and a head full of gray hair, she seems kind and sweet to anyone she meets. Used to own a plant shop before being dragged into this mess. Knows what she wants and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Good manners and proper etiquette are important to her.

Abilities:
Grandma's Bag: Carries a large purse with her wherever she goes. Randomly pulls out objects that are needed at the moment that normal people wouldn't carry.
Feisty Tongue: If you are rude person (to anyone) prepare to feel her wrath. Has no problems telling people the cold hard truth and telling them what she thinks of them. She's old enough to have been there done that.
Herb Knowledge: Knows the best cure for a cold or flu. Also knows what plant poisons work against a human.

Secret: Uses a mop instead of a broom.

[Xihirli]

Name: Firtina Gok

Race: Drow disguised as a human.

Description: On the quiet side, with a love for the drama of appearing mysterious. Is of slight frame, with small eyes and a thin head. Barely five feet tall and possessing of lean arms. Has skin the color of stormclouds if they were painted dark brown.

Abilities: Has attended chef school and can make strawberry jam from scratch.

Name: Bobbie John the 15th

Race: Half Donkey, Half Human Human.

Description: A doctor who got his license and degree from a dumpster, Bobby John the 15th walks around with a slight limp. Slightly overweight but quite tall, Bobby John the 15th usually spends his time playing games in an internet cafe. His surname is "the 15th", somehow. He does not, nor is allowed, to have any vehicles or alternative means of transport.
He usually wants to cover the place he wants to kill his victim at with plastic, taping the victim into a table and covered with plastic, then killing via a direct stab to the heart, Dexter style.


Abilities, how they will survive: Bobby John the 15th is a great HORRENDOUSLY BAD DRIVER. All individuals who board any vehicle with him are guaranteed to die. Even those who escape the vehicle Bobby John the 15th is driving are still doomed; they are usually struck by another moving vehicle that appears. Somehow, Bobby always survives whatever horrors he puts a vehicle through.

Oil tankers are more flammable and explode within the slightest touch, buildings seem to lose all rigidity and collapse upon one hit, knives penetrate more than their sharpness would accord, pedestrians seem to lose all sort of self-preservation and throw themselves upon harm's way. A go-kart race involving him can inflict the destruction of a tornado.

It's a nice, peaceful morning. The birds are already chirping, you can feel the heat coming through your windows. You can still smell the scent of freshly mowed grass. Your eyes scan the room for your alarm clock, but you find none. There is a wall clock, however, and it says it's a minute to six. You presume that's A.M., not P.M. And then....

A loud blarring noise jars everyone out of their restful sleepy morning. It sounds like a cruise liner horn blasting directly into your temporary house. Evidently, it's time to wake up and begin the competition.

Mercedes sips wine as she gazes out of her window, looking at the neighborhood, her soon to be kingdom. "And so it begins," she says to herself. She steps into her spacious living room, and yells "KNEEL BEFORE YOUR RIGHTFUL QUEEN!!" Mercedes stares at the empty living room, and seats herself upon the royal couch. "Let us skip the formalities for the time being, Royal Council, and exterminate those who plot against the royal house Lancaster." She takes her quill, and starts writing letters on her coffee table.
