Well, I'd say that she was a much more attractive than a giant female snake monster. Also, I wouldn't really call him a spy. Yes, he was snooping around some, but he also wanted to talk face-to-face with the leadership. The fact that he flirted with Iori and grabbed her butt was probably an in-story hint that he wasn't necessarily preoccupied with a person's looks, though.

Perhaps another reason for thinking "everything with a vagina" comes from some tumblr posts? Ashley specifically mentioned that Bastion had sex with a female Efheby during the roleplaying that preceded the comic, so having it mentioned in the comic wouldn't seem all that surprising. (The Efheby, Evelyn Five-Eyes, is the one pictured in the post I linked to above.)

Welp, this is absolutely terrifying. Also, more mysteries. Lady Ilganyag created the Black Tongues to help her get out of the khert. Whatever happened to lock her in there, I suspect it's connected to Murkoph.

New comic. So why are the stormbringers and water women frantic? Maybe the first silver monster happens to be nearby? Bastion had said earlier that the "Alds were following rumours of a hidden construct facility." Maybe the facility (or whatever it is) is the problem? If Duane had been sleeping there, I might suspect that he weakened the khert / reality border and Murkoph might be trying to break through or is otherwise causing problems.

I think we'll just need to wait for Friday.

I'm not sure I understand the 8th panel. It probably doesn't matter much. Duane may have just been jabbering. It's odd that he knows about the rumors of a secret construct facility that the Alds might be hunting for. Neither he nor Quigley seemed to know about the rumors earlier. Beyond that, Duane just seems to be disbelieving everything, especially if a Crecian has anything to do with it.

Well, to be honest, if what Ruck said is true, it seems all sides are pretty evil, all in their little ways.
Aldish are zealots with castes, that want to expand their Khert and their repressive policies;
Crescians are cannibalistic, "protectorate" side with no scruples;
Bell wants to destroy Aldish/Ssaelits once and for all;
Ruck wants to mind suck nice memories;
Deliceu wants to eat babies and destroy all life/khert.

Hell, even Duane is a religious zealot, too selfish for his own good.

I'm still trying to figure out Sette. She's materially human, but has sharp teeth and a tail, but has neither navel nor nipple nor sex-specific genitalia. She's functionally stopped aging (even mentally) for the last several years, but it's canonical that she was aging normally until then (whether she was a live birth from someone her da screwed or found in a cabbage patch is an open question). She's got the khert ports of a human, and one of them is misaligned sufficiently to permit her nose to feel the khert (along with everything else). I can't tell if her trip through the khert is a property of herself or a side-effect of the spell that keeps Duane connected to his body; I'm pretty certain the 'opening' is a natural part of Duane, but her ability to physically enter said opening is a curiosity.

Her body is too seamless to be an artificial creation like Duane. Her nature honestly feels like a property of a human being conceived/born in an area of the khert that's been perverted, like what the Dammakhert does to create its castes.

I feel like her trip through the khert is her own thing. Later on the ghosts in the Nevergreen were drawn to her. And when she got there, she said it smelled like she'd been there before.

She's also shown a habit of pymarics implicitly giving her authorization privilege when they normally wouldn't (Quigley's cloak, Boo, etc). So yeah, the physical incursion into the khert is probably her thing. In fact, it's established that the khert doesn't store aspects, only memories, which is why physical incursions are nonsensical; people are souls and memories attached to a pile of aspects. I don't know if the khert can't store aspects, or if it doesn't. If it's a matter of preference, then that's an extension of her expanded authorization privilege. If it's a matter of inability (storing a physical rock in your hard drive), then the only way that works is if she's made of memories.

She sold him a book, some fish, and a hat. It did nothing to alleviate the sunburn, but she does enjoy drawing on burnt tomato-skin.

Quite so. But Duane's spells affect her as if she were human. The closest thing to her we've seen so far seems to be Murkoph. He's in the Khert physically, but Anadyne's spell worked on him. Which it wouldn't on a Senet Beast.

Also, Sette's teeth aren't natural. She filed them to those points, which makes my own teeth hurt just thinking about it.
