Default Entosyn, The Lost Continent of Psionic Insects (Pathfinder Psionics)

Entosis is a world inspired by two distinctive thoughts. Psionics are awesome and insects are awesome. This specific world is meant as a way to drop or start psionics in a campaign, all with varying degrees of power, technology, and society. Even though it's only the size of a singular nation, entire campaigns can be ran in this world and there are plenty of enemies to fight.

    History

There are three distinct eras in Entosyn's history for campaigns to be ran in. GMs are more than welcome to craft their own. These are simply starting points for campaigns to match whichever world you happen to dropping Entosyn.
    Early History
This is the beginning of the Entosyn race. Originally a genetic experiment, the inhabitants of Entosis grew at an extraordinary rate due to the presence of their gods and powerful psionic abilities. Random families eventually formed two major groups, Sky Tribe and Earth Tribe. Their tools were moderately simplistic and only Beetle fought with metal weapons, forging them out of cold earth. Sky clan lived in the towering trees of Entosyn while Earth clan dwelt below, both sides insuring their mutual survival. The only magic items available are Power Stones.
    Mid History
It took an invading force of the Syrinx and their slave races to spur the Entosyns towards both unification and technological advancement. Both races warred back and forth for over sixty years, until a group of unlikely heroes invaded the Syrinx's main tower and killed their High Elder. Without a singular mind controlling them, the slave races broke free and turned on their former masters. To insure no invaders could best them again, groups of Entosyn formed warbands that trained with one another. These bands became the first clans, known as Widow, Shield, Sky, and Earth. During this era they also discover crystals and their psionic enhancements, though these are mostly saved for powerful warriors or leaders.
    Current History
Centuries without a common enemy has caused the Clans to turn their gaze on one another and many start to sharpen their blades. Still others wish to establish dominance through trade or diplomacy, crying for peace while manipulating the more warlike clans. Queens, seeing their early dominance start to wane, start to snatch at more power and cement their line as rulers. Each Clan has their own vision of Entosyn's future and their major power brokers are willing to do anything for that vision to come true. Crystals are now common among wealthier citizens and technology is around the same level as in the 1400s.

    Entosyn Races

The insect like races of Entoysn are divided into three distinct subraces; Queens, Servitors, and Drones. Queens are always female, very rare, usually find themselves in positions of leadership, and are the only race that can bear offspring. Most Queens will bear four to seven children at a time. Servitors are often battlefield leaders, scholars, teachers, and are the most likely to become adventurers. Drones do most of the physical labor, though many are feared on the battlefield and resent their racial stigma. These sub-races also dictate a characters class options, though some exceptions do exist.
    Queens: Dread, Psion, and Vitalist.
    Servitors: Cryptics, Soulknives, and Tacticians.
Drones: Aegis, Marksman, and Psychic Warriors.
    All races can be Wilders.

Each race has eight different racial traits which sub-races can choose from. To take the advanced form of a single trait you must have the base form first. Occasionally, when two races mate they will produce a hybrid. Hybrids do not belong to a Sub-race and thus have no class restrictions. All Hybrids have a single racial trait gained from each parent and three +2 bonuses to three ability scores or a +4 bonus and a +2 bonus to any two ability scores.

    Widow Clan
Following the Elder's demise, Syrinx forces soon fell apart. To insure they could not reform, the Widow Clan was tasked with maintaining watch on their ruined towers. Even though they're the smallest Clan, Widow has spent centuries fighting Syrinx remnants and their slave races. This has made highly sought after as mercenaries, spies, and assassins, allowing the small clan a great deal of influence in Entosyn.
    Spider

Physical Appearance- Spiders are usually tall, pale, and wiry. Their hair is naturally slick, dark, and shiny, with the same often being said of their eyes.
    Queen
Tall, beautiful, and incredibly cunning, Spider Queens are taught to read people from a young age, discerning their weaknesses and desires at a glance. Their races relative scarcity make such Queens highly valuable resources, though most are given leave for the sheer life experience.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Intelligence, +2 Charisma.
    Traits
Cunning- You may add your intelligence modifier to Perception checks instead of wisdom.
Manipulative- Gain a +4 racial bonus to all Bluff checks.
Gain a single additional Spider trait.

    Servitor
In their savage and violent home, there is little room for art or scholarly pursuits. Instead, Spider Servitors are raised from a young age for a single purpose to serve as an agent for the Clan. This gives them a somewhat dangerous charm, which most have no qualm in utilizing.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma
    Traits
Skitter- Gain a +2 bonus to Reflex saves. You may add this bonus to your Dodge AC against attacks made by an enemy at least one size larger.
    Gain two additional Spider traits.

    Drone
Just as tall as their Queen and Servitor kin, but often twice as wide, Drones rarely leave Widow lands. Instead they form an unbreakable wall, protecting their homes while the Queens manipulate one another and the Servitors leave on missions.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence
    Traits
    Gain three additional Spider traits

    Spider Traits

Webbing- Gain Web as per the monster ability. This is useable five times per day and the DC to break or escape is 12+your constitution modifier.
Advanced Webbing- You may use your Web as a grappling hook, club, silken rope, and whip. Using it in this manner does expend the uses per day.
Hunting- Deal +2 damage against all targets denied their dexterity modifier to their AC.
Advanced Hunting- Gain Combat Reflexes and Dodge as bonus feats.
Arms- Gain four additional spider arms that sprout from your back. You may hold things in these arms, but cannot wield anything in them.
Advanced Arms- You may bring two legs together to function as a an extra arm. This traits functions exactly like the Kasatha Multi-Armed trait.
Spider Climb- Gain 30 ft of climb speed and a +2 racial bonus to grapple checks.
Advanced Spider Climb- Increase the racial bonus to grapple checks by an additional +2 and gain a +4 racial bonus to all acrobatics checks.

    Wasp

Physical Appearance- Most Wasps have athletic builds and even those that never leave their towers appear tan. Their hair comes in vibrant colors, though usually some shade of blonde.
    Queen
Each Wasp Queen lays claim to one of the fallen Syrinx towers, hoping to plumb its depths for powerful magic. Officially they're gathering information on their old enemies. Unofficially they're working together so that Wasp has enough power to leave their perceived exile.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Intelligence, +2 Dexterity
    Traits
Prideful Mind- Gain a +2 bonus on Will saves against mind-affect powers while targets take a -2 penalty on Will saves against your mind-affect powers.
Revenge- Your powers and melee attacks deal +2 damage on any target that harmed you last round. This bonus lasts until the end of your turn.
    Gain an additional Wasp trait.

    Servitor
While it is the Queens who do much of the research, Servitors are the ones who brave the traps and monsters in search of Syrinxian artifacts. Though slight of build, they usually more than a few tricks up their sleeve and an exit strategy if that doesn't work out.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom
    Traits
Underhanded- Gain Improved Dirty Trick as a bonus feat and you may make a free Dirty Trick attempt instead of confirming a critical hit.
    Gain two additional Wasp traits.

    Drone
Lacking the build or temperament to go ruin delving, Wasp Drones will often act as bodyguards for their Queens and Servitors. There has been a recent trend of Wasp Drones abandoning their Clan altogether and seeking their fortune as bandits, mercenaries, and even heroes.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Strength, +2 Constitution
    Traits
    Gain three additional Wasp traits.

    Wasp Traits
Wasp Stinger- As a swift action you may envelop your hand in a bright yellow psionic energy. This gives you a natural weapon that deals 1d8 piercing damage.
Improved Wast Stinger- You may add your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma modifier to all damage rolls with your Stinger.
Wasp Flight- Gain 40 ft of flight speed with poor maneuverability.
Improved Wasp Flight- Increase your maneuverability to average and gain the Flyby Attack feat.
Rage- Once per day you may Rage as a barbarian of equal level. This only counts towards the number of rounds you may stay in that Rage state, not what effects it gives or rage powers.
Improved Rage- You may Rage up to 3 times per day, but the total cannot exceed the maximum of a barbarian of your level.
Rush- Gain a +4 bonus to all Initiative checks and deal +2 damage to all Surprised targets.
Improved Rush- If you win Initiative you may make full attack action as a standard action during your first turn.

    Shield Clan

If a singular Clan is still taking the threat of invasion seriously, it is the Shield Clan. They are the strongest grip on peace in Entosyn as Beetle warriors are practically unkillable in battle and the silvery tongued Dragonfly is constantly urging other Clans to strengthen their bond through binding treaties. A singular purpose gives both families a strong bond and they work together well, even though Beetle outnumbers Dragonfly 100 to 1. There are even rumors of a military splinter faction that say the only way to insure peace is for Shield to rule all of Entosyn.
    Beetle

Physical Appearance- Broad and heavily muscled, a Beetle's width makes them appear shorter than other races. Their hair, skin, and eyes are always a shade of dark brown or bronze, which gives non-beetles difficulty in distinguishing between them.
    Queen
Beetle Queens are as often seen on the battlefield as off it and most have special armor designed to allow for nursing. In times of open warfare they are kept safe, but still make strong contributions by training other soldiers and giving orders by way of telepathic message.
Ability Scores- +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, +2 Intelligence
    Traits
Controlled Movements- Increase your dodge bonus to AC by the number of allies within 10 ft who have Teamwork feats, maximum +4.
Combat Experience- You never trigger an attack of opportunity when attempting a combat maneuver.
    Gain an additional Beetle trait.

    Servitor
A Beetle servitor can be found at the forefront of every fight, even those they shouldn't be taking part in. Beetle Servitors have their own code of honor unique to their sub-race. Never back down from a fight you can win, never flee once a fight has begun, and never die a peaceful death.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Strength, +2 Constitution
    Traits
More Than Tough- Every time your base attack bonus increases gain an additional hit point.
    Gain two additional Beetle Traits.

    Drone
Smaller and slightly weaker than their Servitor brethren, Beetle Drones are still consummate warriors able to hold formations no matter the situation. Many rise to positions above Servitors and even Queens, as Shell forces care only for effectiveness.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence
    Traits
    Gain three Beetle Traits.

    Beetle Traits
Ferocity- Gain Ferocity as per the monster ability.
Improved Ferocity- Whenever you are below 0 hitpoints or less, gain DR 5/- and +4 strength.
    Carapace- Gain +2 natural armor.
Improved Carapace- Gain Acid, Fire, and Shock resist 5.
Weapon Mastery- Become proficient in any four martial or exotic weapons.
Improved Weapon Mastery- You apply the Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization feat trees to all weapons you are proficient in.
Beetle Flight- Gain 30 ft of flight speed with average maneuverability.
Improved Beetle Flight- Increase the flight speed by +10 ft and improved the maneuverability to Good.

    Dragonfly

Physical Appearance- Though they have an odd assortment of features, Dragonfly is still the most attractive race in Entosyn. Their skin ranges from grey to alabaster, which is offset by their lengthy hair which grows pale, but is often dyed at least two different colors.
    Queen
Dragonfly is very small and they rarely have more than a dozen Queens. Those few almost never leave their home on Naiad, instead sending orders telepathically. Their psionic range is so great that they've even been known to strike at enemies from a mile away.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Charisma, +2 Wisdom
    Traits
Psionic Beacon- Once per day you may choose to double the range of any psionic power.
Study Psyche- Gain a +2 bonus on Sense Motive, Knowledge Local, Perception, and Diplomacy checks.
    Gain an additional Dragonfly trait.

    Servitor
Incredibly skilled courtesans, Dragonfly Servitors often double as spies, diplomats, information brokers, and lawkeepers. Occasionally they are all these things at once. A Dragonfly agent's worth is dictated by how many roles they can take, not so much if they're exceptional at a specific one.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, +2 Intelligence
    Traits
Silver Tongue- Once per day you may take 20 on a single Diplomacy check by talking to the same target for 10 minutes.
    Gain two additional Dragonfly traits.

    Drone
Most Dragonfly Drones are actually more famous than their Queen and Servitor kin. Entosyn's most skilled entertainers are Dragonfly Drones, making their living as traveling minstrels, singers, and actors, though their loyalty to the Shield clan is never in doubt.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Charisma, +2 Dexterity
    Traits
    Gain three addition Dragonfly traits.

    Dragonfly Traits
Glittering Carapace- Gain Power Resistance 11.
Improved Glittering Carapace- Increase your Power Resistance by +1 for every 3 character levels, minimum 1.
Confidence- Gain a +2 racial bonus on Autohypnosis checks and you may use Charisma instead of Wisdom when making Autohypnosis checks.
Improved Confidence- You may use Autohypnosis in place of making Disguise and Bluff checks.
Dragonfly Flight- Gain 20 ft of fly speed with Good maneuverability.
Improved Dragonfly Flight- Increase speed by +10 ft and gain the Wingover feat.

    Sky Clan
While Entosyn has no true rulers, Sky Clan comes close. They are by far the wealthiest, having developed most of the technological advancements made in the past 100 years. Their two houses originally had a symbiotic relationship, with Butterfly handling business dealings while Bee crafted, but that has changed in the past few decades. Bee resents Butterfly for using their intelligence and labor as an excuse to do nothing, due to the contracts their two houses drew up over a century ago. Many in Butterfly see Bees as second class citizens, brutish workers and fighters who need their cunning to survive.
    Butterfly

Physical Appearance- Everything about Butterfly screams aristocratic. Their features are sharp, but handsome and their lithe frames move with an unnatural grace. Short of stature, it is sometimes hard to guess a Butterflies age, with adults in their thirties being mistaken for children.
    Queen
Butterfly Queens dominate social conventions, setting the trends for fashion, art, and culture throughout Entosyn. Stunningly beautiful, many Butterfly Queens mate with various other species in an effort to bring a more diversified strength into their clan and the social stigma against hybrids is practically non-existent among Butterfly.
Ability Score Bonus- +4 Wisdom, +2 Charisma
Stunning Beauty- Gain a +6 racial bonus on Diplomacy checks against any who would be attracted to you.
Insightful- Gain a +2 racial bonus on Perception, Sense Motive, and Appraisal checks.
Gain a single additional Butterfly trait.

    Servitor
Butterfly Servitors almost never leave the families into which they're born, acting as lifelong companions for whichever Queen they were born alongside. They're often consummate artists, dancers, servants, and bodyguards. Those without a Queen can find work as a steward or teacher with little effort, regardless of their ability at the task.
Ability Score Bonus- +2 Strength, +Dexterity, +2 Charisma
Naturally Skilled- Treat any six Knowledge, Profession, or Craft skills as class skills.
    Gain two additional Butterfly traits.

    Drone
Butterfly Drones are very rarely found living in their own racial settlements, considering the particularly stringent social class lines drawn between Butterfly sub-races. Instead they make their living as courtiers, concubines, and most often explorers. Most of the rare artifacts and trophies that decorate Butterfly mansions were sent back by Drones repaying their families for financing their expeditions.
Ability Score Bonus- +2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom
    Gain three additional Butterfly traits.

    Butterfly Traits
Butterfly Flight- Gain 20 ft of flight speed with perfect maneuverability.
Improved Butterfly Flight- Increase fly speed by +20 ft.
Danger Sense- Gain +2 Initiative and +2 to Perception checks.
Improved Danger Sense- Gain Uncanny Dodge as per the Rogue class feature. If you ever gain Uncanny Dodge as a class feature, gain Improved Uncanny Dodge instead.
Underestimated- If there is another ally within 20 ft of you enemies targeting you with an attack take a -2 penalty on their roll. This is a Mind-Effecting affect.
Improved Underestimated- Underestimated applies even when there is no ally within 20 ft.

    Bee

Physical Appearance- Shorter than most other races, Bees have skin colors ranging from bright gold to a dark copper. Their hair is always black, but their eyes can and often are a kaleidoscope of colors. Regardless of profession, Bee hands are always calloused in some way.
    Queen
Bee Queens produce more children and at a greater rate than almost any other species, meaning they spend far more time mating and raising children than any others. This excuses them from the more physically demanding positions, though they do still lead the most companies and are tasked with negotiating with Butterfly.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma
Natural Leader- Three times per day you may direct an ally to even greater heights. This functions as the Inspire Competence Bardic performance that you can use as Bard of equal level, minimum 3. This lasts as long as you continue to give orders that the ally can hear.
Strong Mother- Gain a +4 racial bonus on Fortitude saves against Poison, Disease, Pain, and Exhaustion effects.
    Gain an additional Bee trait.

    Servitor
Bee Servitors are responsible for the vast majority of technological advances that their House lays claim to. They were the ones who developed faster methods of crafting Power Stones, Sparkers, the printing press, seeing lenses, clocks, hoisting gears, and indoor plumbing.
Ability Score Bonuses- +4 Intelligence, +2 Constitution
Craftsmen- Gain a +4 racial bonus to Engineering and any two Craft skills of your choice.
    Gain two additional Bee traits.

    Drone
Bee Drones live lives of absolute consistency, though they try to experience more outside of work to make up for the monotony of labor. Extremely passionate when it comes to the loyalty of their house, Bee Drones are the most vocal about leaving the Sky Clan and highly resentful towards the "lazy flies" as they call them.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence
    Gain three additional Bee traits.

    Bee Traits
Bee Stinger- Three times per day you may fire a dark bolt of psionic energy from your hand. This deals 1d6+ your intelligence modifier in piercing damage, with a total range of 40 ft.
Improved Bee Stinger- You may use your Stinger an unlimited number of times per day.
Bee Flight- Gain 60 ft of flight speed with Clumsy maneuverability.
Improved Bee Flight- Increase your maneuverability to Poor and gain the Hover feat.
In Sync- You gain a +2 racial bonus on attack rolls against an enemy for every ally that successfully attacked that same enemy the last round, maximum +6.
Improved In Sync- If you flank an enemy, whenever that enemy attacks you may force them to re-roll, taking the second result.

    Earth Clan
While the Shield clan acts as Entosyn's guardians, it is the Earth clan that acts as the sword. The reclusive Mantis house will train anyone who passes their tests in the art of battle while the civil minded Ant house, lacking a centralized home, can be found almost everywhere as guardsmen, investigators, bounty hunters, and judges. If the rest of Entosyn knew just how many Earth clan are spread around, they would be a lot more worried about the army of well trained warriors in their midst.
    Ant

Physical Appearance- Average perfectly describes the Ant family, which is how they like it. Even related Ants have differing appearances, with all manner of body shapes, facial types, hair colors, skin tones, and eye colors.
    Queen
Ant Queens find themselves drawn to guide and assist other Queens. They have a naturally long lifespan and are sturdy enough to handle the rigors of teaching or even protecting their protege. When a Queen simply does not have the time or inclination to rear their successor, they will hire an Ant Queen, usually at great cost.
Ability Score Bonus- +4 Wisdom, +2 Constitution
Powerful Connection- Gain Mindlink as a bonus power and you may use it as a swift action without spending a Power Point.
Perfect Coordination- You ignore concealment and situational bonuses to AC (GM willing) if an ally you are currently Mindlinked to would do so.
    Gain an additional Ant trait.

    Servitor
Ant Servitors make for ideal trackers, able to hone in on even the most stealthy of targets. They make use of this talent all over Entosyn, usually by tracking criminals, but could also be hunting dangerous beasts, rare artifacts, private investigations, or even the reverse, a criminal that goes after targets supplied by their organization.
Ability Score Bonus- +2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom
Perfect Tracker- Gain the Scent monster ability and gain Trapfinding as per the Rogue class feature. Gain Disable Device as a class skill.
    Gain two additional Ant traits.

    Drone

Ant Drones are highly dedicated warriors. They maintain rigid codes of honor and loyalty to their assigned task, though some are more likely to follow the letter of the law if not the spirit. Any Ant who breaks a sworn oath will find themselves blacklisted by their brethren at best, hunted down and killed at worst.
Ability Score Bonuses- +2 Strength, +Constitution, +2 Wisdom

    Ant Traits
Lift Strength- Your strength score is considered twice what it actually is when figuring your weight capacity and you gain a +2 racial bonus on all grapple checks.
Improved Lift Strength- Gain Improved Grapple as a bonus feat, even if you do not qualify, and when using a unarmed attack, natural attack, or armor spikes to deal damage to a grappled target you may instead deal damage as a monk's unarmed attack of equal level.
Scurry- Increase your base land speed by +10 ft and you gain Run as a bonus feat.
Improved Scurry- You ignore hindering terrain and may use Woodland Stride as per the Druid class feature.
Discipline- You may add your Constitution modifier to your Will saves in addition to Wisdom.
Improved Discipline- Increase all your saves by +1.

    Mantis
Physical Appearance- Of average height and build, but incredibly wiry. Most Mantis have long arms and hands, perfect for swordplay. They only trait each Mantis universally possesses is a pair of jade green eyes.
    Queen
Mantis Queens may not be the most skilled or experienced warriors of their house, but are easily the most knowledgeable. Their small size insures few Queens will leave their well-protected homes, but whenever a Mantis Servitor or Drone uncovers a new technique they immediately teach it to the nearest Queen so they can pass it down.
Ability Score Bonus- +4 Intelligence, +2 Dexterity
Secret Technique- Choose either Dirty Trick, Trip, Disarm, Sunder, Shield Bash, or Feint. You may perform that maneuver with a +2 bonus against any creature with a lower Initiative roll the first round you act during combat as a swift action.
Absolute Calm- Gain a +2 bonus to Reflex saves and if you do not move more than 5 ft during your turn you may replace your AC with a Reflex save against any ranged attack.
    Gain an additional Mantis trait.

    Servitor

Mantis Servitors are famous as the most skilled warriors in all of Entosyn, which isn't quite true. Many of their kind devote themselves to study of the psionic arts, gathering all sorts of knowledge, or tracking the movements of remaining Syrinx. This reputation most likely came from Mantis swordsmen challenging and defeating famous combatants in search of promising students.
Ability Score Bonus- +4 Dexterity, +2 Intelligence
Absolute Focus- Twice per day you may treat a naturally rolled 1 as a natural 20 instead.

    Drone
Mantis Drones are more inclined to emotions, instead of the absolute logic of their kin. Many find life in self-imposed exile incredibly stifling, setting out to make their way in Entosyn and beyond. In order to protect the secrets and reputation of the their house, these Drones will disguise themselves as a Wasp, Spider, Dragonfly, or some hybrid of the above.
Ability Score Bonus- +4 Dexterity, +2 Strength
    Gain three additional Mantis traits.

    Mantis Traits

Mantis Blades- As a swift action (free if you have the Quick Draw feat) you may form a semi-corporal set of blades along your hands, wrist, elbow, and forearms. These two finesse blades deal 1d8 slashing damage with a critical modifier of 18-20.
Improved Mantis Blades- Your Mantis Blades gain a +1 magical enhancement bonus, which increases to +2 at 5th level, +3 at 10th level, +4 at 14th level, and +5 at 18th level.
Combat Training- Gain a single bonus combat feat.
Improved Combat Training- Gain an additional combat training feat and you are treated as a Fighter of equal level for the purposes of gaining combat feats.
Stillness- After rolling for Initiative you may spend a power point as a free action to roll again, taking the second result.
Improved Stillness- You may add your Intelligence modifier to Initiative and Perception checks in addition to dexterity and wisdom.

    Foes and Fauna
I'm leaving most of the exact numbers here blank to keep Entosyn enemies as open as possible for GMing purposes.
    Enemy Races
    Flies
Seen as an evil vermin race by almost all of Entosyn, Flies break the mold and breed without having queens or servitors. Their insectile nature is particularly damming as they are universally ugly, even to one another and will devour any kind of meat after dissolving it through their acidic spit. Only a few rare ones have any kind of psionic power, preferring trickery and numbers to overcome their enemies. The most common comparison visitors make is to goblins.
    Alignment- Always chaotic evil.
Ability Score Bonus- Dexterity +4, Intelligence -2, Charisma -2
20 ft of fly speed with average maneuverability.
Acid Spit- They can spit streams of acid. This functions as a 20 ft ranged touch attack that deals 1d6+2 acid damage.

    Scorpion
A Spider mutation, Scorpions are universally reviled across all of Entosyn. Naturally cruel, self-serving, and sadistic, a Scorpion's nature will always come through and only grows worse the older they get. Spider Queens who give birth to Scorpions are encouraged to suffocate the newborn or, lacking the nerve to do so, abandon them in the nearest forest. Wild Scorpions who somehow survived this become some of the most feared bandits and maurauders in Entosyn.
Alignment- Neutral Evil or Lawful Evil
Ability Score Bonus- Strength +4, Constiution +4, Wisdom +2, Charisma -4, Intelligence -2
Chitin- Increase natural armor bonus by +1.
Stinger- As a swift action they may form two psionic claws. These claws may wield a weapon sized for a creature one size larger or they may be used as unarmed attacks that deal 1d8 piercing damage and destroys a single power point for every successful attack.

    Locust
Originally two species belonging to the Grass Clan, Hopper and Cricket, they were taken over by an extremely powerful Queen who steadily drained their minds until the entire race acted as her puppets. Defeated by a coalition of Earth and Widow clan, the Queen was slain, leaving behind a mindless slave race. Pockets of them still appear from underground, destroying entire villages and then disappearing as swiftly as they come. There are even rumors that the Locust Queen lives on inside her subjects minds. Being mindless, all Locust are immune to Mind abilities.

    Strinx
A race long since enslaved by the Syrinx, time has not dulled the combative feelings on either side. More than once a particularly clever Entosynian has tried to manipulate the master/slave relationship between the two species, but by this point it has been practically bred into their DNA. They've even been known to become comatose if given contradictory orders by two separate Syrinx.

    Syrinx
Long time enemies of all Entosysn, the Syrinx appeared on this continent after their High Council almost wiped out their species with an incredibly volatile psionic experiment. Without the numbers to maintain control over their slaves, the Syrinx left their homeland in search of another psionic species to manipulate. It was only after an incredibly brave Dragonfly servitor gave her life to send a psychic message to all of Entosyn were their true natures revealed and the war began in earnest. Now they sequester themselves in mountain fortresses and towers, spread thin to insure the continuation of their race, but always planning to retake their rightful place as the dominant species.

    Aberrations

In the Demon's Hand, a ring of mysterious ruins that dot the far east of Entosyn, a race of Nagas sequester themselves and study the stars. Particularly brave or foolish travelers will attempt to reach them in hopes of learning the future, but are almost universally devoured by the other more dangerous abominations that infest the Hand, such as Ropers, Chokers, and Ettercaps. Strangely, these species refuse to attack one another and will die hours after being forced to leave Demon's Hand.

    Animals
Most food in Entosyn is either farmed or harvested from domesticated insects. Ranchers will keep herds of giant beetles for food while Widow clan artisans craft clothes from spidersilk. Of course there are other, far more dangerous creatures. Lizards the size of castles crash through dense jungles and giant hawks snatch flying Entosynians right out of the air for sustenance.

    Magical Beasts
One of the most prevalent dangers in Entosyn are the Reptellions. Composed of Lashunta, Lamia, Medusa, Giant Snakes, Chimeras, Reptoids, Hydras, Basilisks, and Nagaji, they infest the deepest parts of Entosyn's forests and jungles, only leaving them to conduct raids on Entosyn settlements. Though lacking psionic powers, many are skilled in the magic of science, becoming alchemists and poisoners. Worship of the lizard god Typhon dominates their theocratic society and words from his prophets are what drives their attacks.

    Geography and Architecture

Entosyn is still a relatively untamed land with few roads or brick settlements, mostly due to a small civilized population and the tendency of that population to be able to fly, either from inherent wings or on the back of a giant insect. Divided into six major areas, only the center is densely populated. Thick jungles lie in the south, where the Shield Clan makes their home. It eventually gives way to the broken crags and desolate plains, home of the Widow Clan where the Syrinx once launched their war effort. Fassilia lies in the center of Entosyn and is the only true metropolis, with all Clans welcome and representatives meet at the Butterfly ruled Citadel to make decisions that effect all of Entosyn. To the west, nestled in the grasslands, lies Crag, a sprawling monster of a city and home to more scum than the filthiest swamp. Bee House makes their home in the great forests of the north, crafting material goods in massive combs created by their giant namesake. Finally the hills, lakes, and caves of the east are dominated by the Reptellions and anyone brave enough to live near them.

Building materials and styles vary wildly from clan to clan. Widow makes their homes in refurbished Syrinx towers, with the vast areas designated as slave living being re-purposed as training halls. Shield prefers rough hewn structures of stone and hard wood, usually treated with fire retardant materials and reinforced with steel bearings. Giant bees craft their namesakes structures, the comb being ideal for both storage and personal living. Butterfly's large marble manors are built straight up, with entrances for both flying and grounded guests. Ant lives anywhere and everywhere, from reed huts to stone fortresses to rooms at the nearest inn. Mantis will almost always live in their monasteries with even the grandmasters sharing humble living arrangements.

    Society

Genetics play a major part in Entosyn culture. In scarce houses, such as Mantis or Wasp, Queens are pressured to marry young and to particularly impressive husbands. Regardless of Clan, children are often reared by a small community or foster parents, treating their birth mother as a respected family elder rather than a parent. It is only when a Queen gives birth to another Queen will they assume the full responsibilities of motherhood and refrain from having more children until the next Queen reaches adulthood. There are a variety of rituals and social stigmas regarding Queens, Servitors, and Drones spread across the Clans. A thousand years ago their rule was absolute, but now that type of thinking is seen as old fashioned by most Clans.

Apart from genetics, skill, ability, money, and fame dictate ones place in Entosyn society. Everyone, from rawest Ant private to the Dragonfly handed their first lute, is encouraged to strive for what they want. Familial influence can help, but only the wealthiest and most powerful of families can just grant renown. Though there are no laws that officially favor one citizen over another, each Clan has their own set of rules and ways of enforcing them. In Widow, anything is allowed so long as you don't get caught while even minor transgressions are brought before a tribunal in the Sky Clan. The only universally recognized laws are against murder, thievery, torture, slavery, and imprisonment.

Hybrids have something of a mixed bag reputation in Entosyn. Many families value them for being genetically inclined towards tasks their own families may have difficulty with and many are used as liaisons between their parent families. Others, especially the Shield clan, want nothing to do with hybrid offspring and make no effort to find a place for them if not outright abandoning them. Hybrid children will almost never gain an inheritance or even a place of respect normally afforded to their pure bred siblings. The social stigma against inter species relations is particularly severe in small families, such as Widow and Dragonfly, as hybrid children have no chance of being born a Queen.

Oh man the beetle's sound amazing.

Can't wait to see what some of the plants and animals are like, a continent of bug people is probably going to have some pretty alien stuff.

Well I finally got a rough draft done and am considering starting a game once it's completely done. Just a few ideas if anyone would like to throw in their two cents.

    Sparks
Essentially guns, but powered by different crystals and the ammunition is supplied by power points.

    Plants
The concept of a widespread plant enemy does appeal to me, but I couldn't find a way that doesn't feel shoe horned in.

    Insect Templates and Alternate Races
Obviously a number of insects and arachnids didn't make the final cut, but I'd like to throw them in as evolutionary anomalies or lost species. Some I'd like to include are Centipedes, Scorpions, Tarantula, Fire Ants (psychokinetic ants obviously), Hercules Beetles, Moths, and Mosquitos. If anyone has a preference or suggestion, feel free to chime in.

Plants might work with a carnivorous venus-flytrap vibe, are you looking for -people- or animal-monsters?

Scorpions are great for a lost species since they can go a long time without food/water, perhaps a species that specialized in stasis spells or something in that vein?
