Hey guys come on. What happened the last time(s) someone lost and arm/eye/tail/beard? They got awsome magical replacements that look really sweet. Hell, one of them even got a SECCOND arm right after the first one started eating everyone.

Thuntverse may be brutal and unforgiving, but it's not without mercy. Often a replacement limb is right around the corner after the origional was taken.

Heck i can already see some possible ways Complains and Ears can get replacements.

Complains experiances a little more demonic energy from the axe, or that wich this spesific hand was already exposed too causes him to grow a new demonic hand at some point. If the origional hand is somehow still intact after the explosion (unlikely) we may even see something with that.

Ears might do something with the Axe maybe, We already know that One previous owner was able to merge with it and it's armor (though granted he was a machine himself) and we know that Ears is able to manipulate the armor to an extent. Maybe the next time he removes/re-adds it to repair it, he'll wind up with an armor-arm to replace the one that it looks like he lost.

Thunt's world tears and mutilates it's denizens who dare to become adventurers, but if they survive, they almost always find a way to become stronger because of it.

Usually, people die in a story to make a point. Goblins feels like characters are in a corner huddled and the GM/Thunt is slowly beating them to death.

As far as I know, most ASoIaF characters die if they act as douche supreme or the absolute moral authority. Not that I like ASoIaF.
I joined during the maze of many too. During the end of it to be precise. I catched up the story when Ruby was erasing's Kin's necklace or maybe one or two pages after that. It was a terrible moment to stop binge reading and to get a hiatus not long after that.
But that's still more than three years ago and I' still here. And moreover, I didn't stopped reading while I was binge reading.

Regarding ASoIaF, the author claims that characters dies because of poor decision. Misakes. But acting as douche supreme is actually more a shield than anything else. So you can always look for the mistakes a character made before dying, but since not all mistakes leads to death or terrible things, it's still pretty random. Plus, it's always easy to judge in hindsight.

I have no idea of when I started reading. It was before Goblinslayer got beaten by Thaco, anyway. Just sharing.

We don't know yet if there was a purpose in the explosion, i.e. what it sets up, concerning plot, characters and so on. We only know the reasons. The mechanical reason being less interesting (explosive item), but the behaviour that brought this about was being incautious and reckless on the side of 2axo, and Complains grudgingly going along. So it could be a bit sobering for them. It's not like they didn't know there were mortal dangers in the dungeon, they already almost died the sausage's death (dandling from the roof).

I personally found this development interesting. There's a problem that needs to be solved, and quickly, and those who must solve it are the two most irresponsible people in the group, now forced to work without someone else to look after them (assuming the lack of numbers isn't because they are dead). And Ears first maladjusted Complain's arm, and now cut off his hand. While the Axe might have suffered even more. So it's a lot of stuff that is happening in a single shot.

I also am totally disinvested in the characters, though, so I probably can look at the story like an interesting puzzle, rather than feeling horrible any time these guys suffer in a byzantine way. I can also be not too worried about the Curse Couple showing up again (because sooner or later they wiiiiill!)

By the way, is MM here channelling bad rap about the comic again? "There is no point. It's just stupid. Stupid and cruel. And then stupid again."

I'm not sure Ears actually lost his entire arm. He might have just had the armor blown off and the arm itself bloodied.

I definitely enjoy the comic more when it's being light-hearted. It's not like we didn't know what we were getting into when we chose to read though.

The Curse of Thunt knows no bounds...

(from the Girl Genius main comic page)
... our color artist Cheyenne Wright has no electricity. This is because the firemen messed up the wiring when they hacked a big ol' hole in the side of his house after the roof caught fire. Cheyenne and his family have already had the flu, so they spent last night at our house. They are all fine, but not terribly happy about the fact that their house is all smoky and has a hole in it...and no electricity. Adventures!
No idea how much this will affect Goblins, but it's interesting this happened so soon into Cheyenne's run.

I was visiting the Bad Webcomic forum and they were discussing Goblins. They were discussing last few pages and talked about mood changes.
You had a slightly comedic page with MinMax and Vorpal, followed by a massacre.

What strikes me about last few pages, is that perhaps I was wrong, about Thunt being cruel. It was him being erratic. It's like all is fine, we are having a laugh, then wham, he hits you with a glass bowl, and starts cutting your face.

It has been that way since the start. Look at the village massacre. Plenty of comedic moments amongst the tragedy.

Thankfully it was only the village for the warriors more or less. But did Kore ever get to the hidden village or is he still going after them as well?

I reread Forgath's current story to see what was going on with these guys... I couldn't help notice the human said whatever without punching himself, though I didn't really read that part particularly careful and don't really care about that particular curse.

Though I do wonder if Forgath at some point will have to have sex with this guy to save him or something along those lines...
