If you haven't played the Baldur's Gate series, you should- it's available now on Steam and for mobile devices (including iPads). Quick tip: Make sure to press the button with a magnifying glass on it to toggle the highlighting of stuff that you can loot (and (toggle) the presence of markers on most things you can with). Oh, and IIRC, that button defaults to "off" whenever you reload a save, which is kind of annoying.

Funnily enough while there is a German version of Baldur's Gate 1+2, the Enhanced Edition does not have the rights to all the foreign voice actors. So I now have the pleasure to listen to Jim when I play with Minsc (and I mean, who DOESN'T play with him in the party?).
