    Default When in Antarctica... [Feats]

This one just occurred to me while thinking back on a discussion I had awhile ago concerning one of the developing aspects of warfare. For a good long time, if you wanted to invade a desert, you had to get camels for your infantry. If you wanted to invade a colder country (Russia), you had to dress more heavily. If you wanted to invade a mountainous country, your troops have to learn how to fight in the mountains. Therefore:

    Terrain Adaptation
Prerequisites: Int 13, Con 13, Survival 5 ranks
Benefit: Gain one Favored Environment at +2 to skill checks, as per the Ranger variant special ability (however, do not gain the additional +2 allocate-able skill check bonus to apply to a Favored Environment you already have, as a Ranger would at a level appropriate to gain a Favored Environment). Also, if you spends two weeks or more in a specific environment and spends his time in contact with (meaning has line-of-sight to at least once per day) native inhabitants of that region, you may choose to lose one of your Favored Environment and gain that environment as a new Favored Environment at a +2 skill bonus.
Normal: Only Rangers gain Favored Environments, and they may not choose to lose Favored Environments in order to gain others.

    Advanced Terrain Adaptation
Prerequisites: Int 13, Con 13, Survival 8 Ranks, Terrain Adaptation
Benefit: For every two more weeks you spend in an environment you have Favored Environment for, you may deduct 2 from the skill bonus you recieve in another Favored Environment (to a minimum of a skill bonus of 2) and add 2 to the skill bonus you recieve in your current environment.
Normal: You may not move the bonuses you recieve from favored environments around from environment to environment.

    When in Rome...
Prerequisites: Int 15, Con 13, Survival 10 Ranks, Terrain Adaptation
Benefit: Gain one Favored Environment at +2 to skill checks, as per the Ranger variant special ability. Select a favored environment you have (including the one you gain by taking this feat, if you wish). Increase the skill check bonus you gain in that environment by 2, to a maximum of +8. In addition, gain an attack bonus and an AC bonus when fighting in any of your favored environments equal to one quarter of the skill bonus you recieve in that environment.
Normal: Only Rangers gain favored environments, and they provide only skill check bonuses.
Special: You may purchase this feat multiple times, selecting a different pair of Favored Environments if you wish. You do not accumulate a higher attack bonus or AC bonus for purchasing this feat additional times.

The road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began,
Now far ahead the road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can--
    Pursuing it with eager feet,
Meeting those who travel on the way,
Where many paths and errands meet,
And whither then, I cannot say.

Sweet... nicely balanced too, there aren't many survivalers with 15 int for what I know...
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
    and dances with the daffodils...

Also gives some combat boosts to Int-type peoples, who are usually pretty heavily lacking in those categories--especially if they take more skillmonkey-ish feats like these.

    Other environmental feats?
