I, don't really know where the Gold Coast isss, to be honest. But the battlefield liesss between here and the Graymane Farm. Our boys caught em coming thisss way.

"Gold Coast, hmm..." Kamyol took a moment to try and remember. Knowledge geography: (1d20+4)[10]


"Between Goldenrod and the farm?" Kamoru exclaimed, eyes widening. "That's so close! Have we lost that much ground or did they just slip through a gap?"

Billy begins to usher everyone with his arms back toward the crafting hall.

"Lets finish the discussion there, with privacy, and without shadows watching us"

He begins to herd the group toward the general.

Billy insistently pushes everyone out of the Black Adder base towards the Crafting Hall. They continue talking en route.

Black Adder Barracks

Osman, Kamoru, and Niyolaku arrive at the barracks, Niyo waits outside while Osman and Kamoru go in to find Hanar. Just inside the door a tall shadow meets them. Morning Shadow Massster, we have come for Hanar. He is to teleport usss to a place in the Gold Coast.

Kamoru looked at Itzal curiously. "Nice you meet you. Sorry for not introducing myself at the party, though I understand you spoke to my brother," she said, smiling and making her usual bow.

[STDM Grizzly Ad]

Your brother is he? I see. And how fares the young oracle this morning? Itzal's head moves slightly(1d20)[2](plus mod)

"Hmm," Kamoru tilted her head, thinking. "Well he was pretty happy when we woke up this morning; excited to be going back to work. But we met someone new today, and his awkward shyness got him in a bit of trouble," she said, a hint of laughter in her voice. "But I'm sure he'll recover, especially since he can hide himself away in his work."
"If you don't mind indulging my curiosity before we go, I was wondering if you had any former nomads join your ranks in the past two or three years," she said inquiringly.

Nomads, orphans, free spirits, thieves, outcasts, these make up most of our ranks. But I take it you're looking for something more specific. Go ahead girl. Speak your mind.

"My caravan," she said, shifting her feet. "We were attacked and scattered a few years ago, while outside the city. It occurred to me that some of the soldier-types would've been drawn to the Adders. Some, but not all, might be using the surname... Konran..." she said hesitantly, voice lowering when she said the name.

Skrolk goes with the others to retrieve Hanar

Alloishus, with his backpack, armor, jack knife ears, came sprinting. He took a few deep breaths and was fine. "And my spells are done." He announced.

Trelane caught up to the others after finding a store that sold the diving suits Kamoru mentioned. He had it stored in his backpack for now but he was out of breath by the time he reached the barracks, "Hello everyone," he gaspsed, "Nice to see you again."

The Shadow replies Konran? I'll check payroll, but I make no promises. There's no mystery in the numbers. You, on the other hand are an enigma. I've been watching you over the last two days. There's strength in you. Determination, drive, power. If you're.... He stops short as Skrolk and Al enter the barracks, followed shortly by Trelane. Yes, Hanar is just down this hallway He points to a hallway on his left.

[Wolfykins]

Kamoru tilted her head to the side. "Ah? So was that you in the window, then?" she asked.

[STDM Grizzly Ad]

The shadow nods visibly then steps away down a hallway to the right.

(Kamoru, make a will save)

Kamoru tilted her head the other way, curious. "See you later, I'm sure!" she called after him.
She glanced at the others and shrugged, looking bemused. Then she started down the hallway Itzal had indicated they'd find Hanar.

Billy Moves with Purpose to the barracks to catch up. He decided against the sheild and to move forward with his shortened time.

"Have we found Hanar yet?"

[Wolfykins]

Kamoru looked over her shoulder. "Oh, hey Billy! Glad you caught up! Hanar should be this way," she said, waving her hand.
"You'll probably be interested to hear that it was Itzal who was watching us train with Niyolaku yesterday," she said with a smile.

Billy nods.

"Leader of blades for hire, Voyeur on the side. interesting habits. "

He rotates his shoulder on his left arm and inhales deeply.

"Learned a new trick. Hope I dont have to use it."

[Wolfykins]

Kamoru looked at Billy askance, almost unable to believe the brazenness of his implication.

The group makes their way down the hallway, you find an open bunk where Hanar sits having just finished his morning routine. Osman steps in. Interested in sssome international travel? There's beachesss. The General has okayed usss to inspect a ssshipwreck on the Gold Coast. Kamoru hasss the coordinates. We'll be ready to go whenever you are. The wolf isss outside.

Hanar rises with a grunt of mild annoyance, but accepts the coordinates from Kamoru. You all move to the courtyard where Niyolaku waits obediently.

Buford is just coming through the gate when you get outside. Well well, I did catch you before it was too late. Please, get into groups as to whuuuuuur wants the additional swimming ability and who wants only the water breathing ability. I will cast accordingly.

[Wolfykins]

Kamoru stepped over to Niyolaku and the wagon and donkeys to separate a bit from the others. "We'll leave the donkeys on shore, of course," she said. "Niyolaku and I should be fine with just 'Water Breathing'. I'm happy to let the swimming boost go to those who really need it."

"While we have a minute before we get going, I wanted to talk briefly about expectations for this mission, since Billy has tapped me to lead... Assuming no one objects to that," she said, glancing around the group.
"First, I prefer common sense over blind obedience. If I tell you to do something you can't do or doesn't make sense to you, speak up. Sometimes you'll have information I don't, and I don't want anyone to get hurt or killed just because they felt they had to follow orders against their own better judgment." She looked directly at Trelane for a moment when she said that, before continuing on. "Secondly, I value communication very highly. Especially in conditions where visibility is limited; I want you to tell the team what you're seeing, especially if something changes, like when those extra goat-heads appeared on the Astral plane. Your team mates can't help you if they can't see you're in trouble and you don't say anything!" A flash of sadness crossed her face ever so briefly.
"We're going to attempt to make a deal with these pirates first, but we will fight if we have to," she added.

Billy steps up to buford.

"I can swim a little, Ill take the Water Breathing"

Hanar counts the group and rubs his forehead. "I must remind you that I can only take four others at a time. As a result, I will need to use three spells just to get all of you there, and then 3 trips just to get you back. If you are surveying a shipwreck, I assume you shall be returning with booty or whatnot, which, if in excess of your ability to carry, could potentially be even more burdensome to my ability to transport you." He pulls out his spellbook and begins reading. "I shall have to commit all of my 5th level resources and some of my 6th solely for the use of teleportation today, making me incapable of using high level magic to assist you in combat, and unable to provide and teleportation services for anyone else for the rest of the day. Furthermore you have deprived me of precious study time, which compels me to suggest a trade of services. In exchange for this and future services, I wonder if you might convince your crafting compatriots to give me, now and in the future, any items they create which are complete but cursed or burdensome in some way. I would then drain these items of power to fuel my own arcane exploits. Does that sound like a fair arrangement?" Hanar shuts his spellbook and looks up.

Kamoru blinked at Hanar and burst out laughing. "Oh, I'm sorry! I just wish you'd told us that earlier! Bartleby and my brother accidentally made a wand that makes people desperate to hold it, but then upon touching it, they become ravenously hungry, as if starving! They destroyed it! But if they'd known you wanted such things, they'd have given it to you and been greatly relieved! I can assure you, it won't take any convincing for them to pass off similar disasters to you," she said, grinning broadly.

Alloishus smiled at Hanar. "Some might say my Giant-Earred Frost Keen +1 Rapier is such an item, but I rather like my jack-knife ears. Though I am not too attached to this weapon as Bartleby will craft better for me. So you may find yourself in possession of this weapon later. However, I am sorry we are taking up your study time. Would you like to copy from my spellbook again? Perhaps you can do so while resting in an inn."

Billy looks around between the group, and then to Hanar.

"I apologize for interupting your study time Hanar. But I do not believe anyone has an issue with your suggestion. Please take the time you require to accomplish the task we have requested. Next time, well try to arrange that you are aware of our plans ahead of time so you properly prepare."

He looks to the group.

"You heard the lady. Speak up when combat starts. communicate changes in battle. Take orders. Dont run around blindly."

"You can count on me, Billy and Kamoru!" Alloishus replied.

[Wolfykins]

Kamoru glanced around at the group. "Hmm, I think that head count didn't include the donkeys. Niyolaku could pull the wagon if we need to leave them behind, though he probably won't be happy about it. Or any two of us could pull it if he refuses," she said, looking slightly amused by the idea. "Or we could camp overnight if that would make it easier. I'm prepared for that possibility," she said.
"Preferences, guys?" she asked.
