Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
Oh, sorry. I saw this coming actually. :p
Let me replace "he", "his" and "girlfriend" for...um, whatever you think fits best :) Or "it".
I'm sorry but I've never exchanged posts with a sentient black flame before :p
Edit: Oh, crap. I've actually made it worse.
My sincere apologies, fair lady. This won't happen again. *little bow plus wink*Last edited by FdL; 2007-07-16 at 04:33 PM.

Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
But of course.
As we speak a powerful, high efficient, reliable and secret social information network is at work, making girls informed on who the guy is.
So, by the time I make my public announcement, most of the girls will be informed, thus making it the "wrong time".Last edited by SMEE; 2007-07-16 at 06:52 PM.

Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
Ooh...explody thingy...
Now I'm trying to imagine all the problems that could come with accurately taking a picture of a fireball explosion like that. Not so much the timing, but having a camera with a good frame rate to capture the level of detail...
But then I don't know anything about photography...maybe it's easier than I think.Remember when I had an avatar?

Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
So it really is an angry black flame with red eyes and white eyebrows??
Maybe it was the "Bladewing" part that made me think that.......
That makes me kind of sad . Hers was one of my favorite avvies because it suggested a story, in medias res. It was like a snapshot in the epic quest of the intrepid little Saithis Bladewing (oddly but appropriately named, as all heroes/heroines must be) who flew out in her tiny cessna to do battle, against all odds, with the Great Evil that lived inside the storm. The perspective being from the point of view of those whose safety depended on the success of her battle.........
Is it really just a black flame with eyes?Last edited by Sisqui; 2007-07-16 at 09:28 PM.

Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
That was my guess...At first I had no idea of what it was, but then I saw the eyes.
Hey! It can also be the same little plane seen from the front, flying towards a cave. Seen from inside the cave, at night, so the sky would be the dark part.
Hey, Saithis! We need clarification ^^
*braces for second explosion, this time he brought a helmet*

Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
I never doubted that it was a black flame with angry eyes.
However, Sisqui's version is far more interesting, and as far as I'm concerned, that's what is truly important. Henceforth, I shall think of Saithis' avatar as a lone airplane flying into the ominous dark.

Re: Radikalskippy's Random Banter #85 of lost ideas and where to find them...
You may think it more interesting, but it's not. It is the shadows that hide Saithis, not simply a 'sentient black flame' as you put it.

Y'know, I think I prefer Sisqui's interpretation. Sorry Saithis.

You are totally and completely not. The lone airplane flying into the darkness is much cooler.

I just don't see how the shadows are supposed to look like bad weather, or the tiara like a plane, especially when there are eyes beneath it.

Oops, I thought it was a plane, too. But I thought it had just blown something up and was now flying triumphantly out of the plume of smoke. Or something like that.
I like airplanes. And explosions. But tiaras are awesome too. Many thanks to Castaras for the avatar!
