The second armored figure, one of steel and rust and golden helm, stays low. Her own smaller crater lays a scant dozen meters from the other figure's, but she had recovered faster. She might have been ambushed by this beast initially, swept into the skies as it attempted to carry her off to be feasted upon, but she was lucky enough to break free and send them both tumbling to the ground. Despite the pain of a pair of broken ribs after landing on a large rock, she stayed quiet and listened, waiting for the beast to reveal and betray himself among the trees and dust. Luckily, her armor wasn't dented or damaged even if the flesh beneath was. When her attacker speaks however, she stands tall and Speaks. The single Word she says, creates a small wave of pressure in the air as a great bow as large a man swirls into existence in her hand as an arrow does the same. The Word, powered by her Divinity, is likely to betray her location to her attacker, but the nameless Empress does not seem to care and only concentrates on loosing the great arrow towards the insane beast's location. Her senses are keen and her target large, but she moves quickly as soon as she fires.

The Empress, standing nearly ten feet tall or more, moves amazingly quickly for her size, moving to keep trees between her and her opponent. "I know you, King of Carrion. I have heard tales of the atrocities you have done." She says, taking cover behind a thick oak before she speaks another Word, summoning a large shield and sword into her hands, ready for a fight. The Empress, finding herself on a foreign battlefield, finds the heavy weight of the greatshield and greatsword comfortable in her hands for even as large as she was, she was quite small in comparison to the Buzzard Lord.

Well. Giants crash-landing in GLoG and having a merry old brawl, right in the middle of the lake. That's a thing that's totally happening.

Cass looks across the lake, considering whether and how she should attempt to get a closer look. This is post-shopping trip Cass, so the half-elf sorceress is currently wearing her sorcerous overcoat, draped around her shoulders like a cloak, over a high-collared shirt, trousers, and glossy leather knee boots.

[Cabins]

"A dryadeer's a dryad an' a deer! Like I'm a goblin an' a wolfen!" Tuskfang explains. This might not be as helpful as Salix hoped it would be. Reelshka doesn't seem to be listening, either. She seems to have produced a notepad and a pencil from somewhere, and is making notes.

[Cabins]

Salix just looks more puzzled for a moment. But then it hits her. "Oh wait. Like your little friends?" Yeah, the ones with the flowery hair, and she bets their ears are like a deer.

[Zefir]

"So all the supernatural powers where you're from come from extraplanar beings you call? I mean, if I understood you right. Did you want to be able to summon something like me?"
Anchor asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Or were you hoping to find someone else with your ability? I don't think it was quite the same."

[Cherry Cabin]

"Yeah, if we wanted to use a special ability we needed to summon something." he replies. "And a bit of both. It's extremly hard to learn new summonings without a teacher. Some people resarched their whole life and only managed one summoning. at least so does it work in my homeworld."

[Recaiden]

[Cherry Cabin]

"I see."
That must be a difficult world.
"So what can you summon? I mean, if I can ask; I don't want to imply anything."

[Shore]

Well. Two giant things crashing down from the sky? So soon after she arrived? That's just the best of luck!
Anchor is making her way over to the docks and getting a paddleboat ready to cross out to the island.

[Cherry Cabin]

"I don't mind if anyone asks." he replies. "It's not like it would make things different. I just can't randomly summon them. It's a bit to exhausting you know?"

"I got three summonings." he says and hold up four fingers. "Bonies, Ifrit and Carbuncle. I have to get a better name for bonies thought."

[Recaiden]

"Two Bonies then, is that it?"
Anchor sits up more straightly.
"Well, thank you for the help. I'll let you know if I hear anything about summoning that might be of interest to you. And I hope you get your name again soon, hmm?"

[Morty]

Tuskfang gives a wide, toothy grin.

"Yeah! Cern an' Geedon. Their mum's a dryad. She has flower hair."

The Carrion King proves a hair too dextrous to be caught by the seeking great-arrow. If perhaps the Empress had not had to speak her Word and summon the bow into her hands, the King might have had only the cord's great twang to warn him. Alas, he gyrates his gangly form in the direction of the sound... and with a motion almost too fast to see, he smites the missile from the air, sending it whipping and whistling into the trees with an eruption of dull orange sparks.

King Lammergeir endeavors to track the Empress, his head turning to follow just behind her movements. Impressed with her speed yet not vexed by it, the Regent of Rot begins to stalk forward with the patience of an Age, lured by her scent and the promise of Divinity's sweet flavor.

"Heehee, hmhm, would you stay my teeth with guilt, scion of Winter? Take care, o, take care! Your pointing finger drips with blood!" He grunts the last word with a modicum of exertion as he takes up his two-tined fork like a javelin and hurls it's firey points directly toward the tree where the Empress is hiding. It's debatable whether the horrifying breadth and strength of his arm can match the mechanical power of a Knight's Bow, but it certainly possesses force enough to penetrate the trunk and any delicious goddesses hiding beyond.

[Zefir]

"Two Bonies then, is that it?"
Anchor sits up more straightly.
"Well, thank you for the help. I'll let you know if I hear anything about summoning that might be of interest to you. And I hope you get your name again soon, hmm?"

[Cherry Cabin]

The man looks confused. "Eh no I have four right now. It's a bit compley, but over time we grw in summoning making them stronger or more in number. "

"Thank you, sorry hat I wasn't that much of help."

[Gullara]

Tuskfang gives a wide, toothy grin.

"Yeah! Cern an' Geedon. Their mum's a dryad. She has flower hair."

[Cabins]

"And their dad's a deer? That's weird." Okay, it's starting to come together now. "But only grown ups have babies, silly." She makes two larger balls of snow and two smaller balls. "It's like bunnies. The big ones make babies." She puts one large ball atop the other. Then she takes the little ones and lifts them up and down. "And the little ones just play."

[Morty]

[Cabins]

"He's a deer person!" Tuskfang clarifies. Then he looks down at the snow-bunnies. Big ones make little ones, who play. Like mom and dad made him! "Do you have a dryad mom and dryad dad?"

Salix shakes her head. "Nope, I'm different. I just have my tree." Salix furrows her eyebrows in thought. "I never saw another dryad before. I guess we're all the same?"

Baccata's Yew

OK, so she wasn't on the 'keep' list, but... She is now. I've always wanted to do more with her.

Near the cabins, but set a short distance apart, is a yew tree. Because there's children in GLoG, and yews are poisonous in nearly every part, it's been fenced off. The yew is quite large, but to those who know about yews and their lifespan, it's fairly young. It was transplanted here by Justin Mine, by request from the tree's lonely occupant. Said occupant is currently sat on one of the lower branches, talking to a large carrion crow. She's tall, slender, and appears about nineteen, with dark brown skin, eyes the red of yew-berries and dark green hair made of yew needles. She's wearing a red jumpsuit, with 'Vault L' emblazoned on the back.

((Caution: Yews have an association with death, and Baccata is a very morbid individual. She might not be child-friendly.))

"I dunno. But Cern and Gwydion's mom has flower hair. She's pretty," Tuskfang says. He then peers intently at Salix. "You don't have parents? That's sad!" He pauses. "You can share mine."

Island Center

The lance of an arrow spins off until it spears its way into a neighboring tree, the metal tip splintered by the force of the impact, but it has served its purpose and The Empress quickly forgets it. Her keen senses tell her that the King is approaching, but it is only her years of combat that tell her to prepare herself. She turns quickly, slamming the point of her hefty blade into the earth, the back edge towards the tree she'd been behind just in time for the bident to smash its way through. Her blade neatly catches the bident right in the middle, deflecting it upwards and away from her body. It nearly hits her head on the way up, but she twists just enough to avoid it.

She doesn't speak or goad any further, the time for words finished and the time for action starting. An aura of cold envelops her body, causing frost to curl on her armor, shield, and sword as she steps forth to meet her challenger. With the initial thrust deflected, The Empress takes a firm step forward, great tower shield held before her in preparation for the next attack as she pulls her sword from the ground. Within a span of a pair of heartbeats, the aura solidifies further, creating a sphere around her that chilled waves of pressure wash off of her. The powerful waves are capable of pushing weaker mortals away several meters even though they likely wouldn't be noticeable to the Carrion King standing before her.

There was no more hiding or running. It was now time to fight until only one of them stood.

[Cabins]

Salix laughs at that. "But I have my tree! She's my parent. She's just not a mom or dad." That makes sense, right? It does to Salix.

[Morty]

[Cabins]

Tuskfang thinks deeply about that.

"Does your tree tell you when it's bedtime?"

[Arriving]

Iknika leads Isaac here, with gusto.

"Here we- oh." She spots Baccata. "Haven't seen her around before."

[Deathkeeper]

Arriving

Isaac, one blond, yellow-eyed teen arrives with his goblin protege, carrying only a sketchpad since he dropped off his easel at home.
"Do you often have people dropping by while you're gone?" he asks the goblin.

Arriving, by the Yew Tree

"I'm Baccata. This is my yew. I've been here a while, now. I just don't socialise much. I like having the option, which is why I'm here, though. Nice to meet you." The dryad slaps the tree when she calls it 'her yew', and the tree's limbs creak and bend... Though they don't seem to be obeying the wind. The carrion crow flies up, perching in the branches of the yew, and gazing down with a beady black eye.

The nameless man walks around the campground after he left the woman. Caught up in his thoughts about how he could reach other summoners here he migth end up anywhere or bump into anyone. Maybe there is something intressting his eyes caught for a second?

[Morty]

[Arriving, by the Yew Tree]

"Well, I don't live here," Iknika tells Isaac, before turning back to Baccata.

"I'm Iknika. You probably know my cousin, Brinika. I brought Isaac here so we can spar."

Iknika does resemble Brinika a bit. She's got the same light green skin and short, delicate tusks. Her hair is jet black, though, and tied in a single braid. Her eyes are pale red. And she's taller than the tiny younger goblin.

Isaac blinks. Themed family names are kind of neat. He wonders if anyone is named Akinika.
"It's nice to meet you too." Isaac says politely.

[Earl of Purple]

I honestly can't remember if Baccata and Brinika have met.

"I might have met her. I'm not sure, I've been sleeping for a while. Woke up yesterday, actually. What kind of sparring will you be doing?" The dryad's curious, and the sleep is reference to my absence. She leans against the fence and smiles.

[Morty]

[By the Yew Tree]

"I'm training to be a knight, and Isaac says he has powers that trigger when he's in danger," Iknika says. "So we'll try to fight, and see if it works."

[Deathkeeper]

By the Yew

"Oh, it'll work. It's never not worked when I get hit. Not unless I'm holding it back. And Iknika doesn't want me to, so...." Isaac chips in, perhaps a bit nervously.

[Earl of Purple]

By The Yew

"Sounds interesting. What kind of powers? Because if you explode in fire when you're hit, don't do it anywhere near my tree." Otherwise, Baccata might be a good person to have nearby, in case something goes wrong. Yews are associated with death, and Baccata can tap into that a little.

[Morty]

"I don't think they involve fire," Iknika says, glancing at Isaac.

[Deathkeeper]

By the Yew

Isaac shakes his head. "Nah. I've studied how to shoot fire but I only do it deliberately. And I won't be using offensive magic on Iknika. That wouldn't be safe." he says, thinking back to his session at the Chapel where he punched a hole in wood with a few fingers' worth of force magic.

"Well, no fire near my tree. He doesn't like it, and neither do I. But that does seem cool. You guys mind if I watch?" The dryad tilts her head to one side as she says it, and then queries, "It's only practice, right, and you won't be trying to kill each other? Because I might be able to help with that." She doesn't clarify the statement, though.
