Re: GMR 18 (No more new GMR!)
Spoiler: The snark;India
We actually found two spots we're willing to consider.
This spot is north of Lodz so we understand if this is unacceptable. However it most likely only has two luxuries that are copies of what you already have.
This spot is south and a little to the east of Lodz. You can actually see it's borders to the north west. Kuala Lampur is also to the north west.
Would either city spot be acceptable?

We trade embassies with Thristing to fulfill a quest for a minor nation of the world.
As Mazabna Kongo tells us that we are no longer friends.

Lodz's guards report no problems.
The palace guards also report no problems.
Nor do Krakow's guards.
Here we see the wonders of the tech tree.

Chieftain has been crowned king!

Spoiler: Poland (Illven)Provided the repayment is as small as the favor, we are amenable to that. Our nation is presently struggling to support our new settlement and facing attacks from barbarians, so we offered what we felt we could, you understand. In the year 1000 BC, the scattered religious individuals of the Polish nation all claim to have a felt a voice telling them to go Warsaw. This voice was insistent but kind, gentle.
In the year 1000 BC. In the capital city of Warsaw, the scattered holy men and women became the world's first druidic circle. During the summer solace they joined together and sang all day for the circle of life.
In the year 1000 BC. Pocahontaism was founded in the capital city of Warsaw.

Re: GMR 18 (No more new GMR!)
Our King Ramkhamhaeng must now eat some humble pie. He has overextended the Siamese money coffers in extravagant construction projects, and now our little kingdom is in danger of facing bankruptcy. Therefore we have no choice but to make him ask - beg - for monetary help from anyone willing to invest to save our beautiful kingdom. We can offer very generous interest rates to anyone willing to help our people survive the consequences of our leader's hubris.

Fair King Ramkhamhaeng, the druids of the Earth among us beg us to donate to your kingdom in acknowledgement of the great stone monument you've been constructing. The more learned among my people however ask me three questions. 1 How much will your need? 2 How soon will to be able to repay us? 3 What will this money go for?

Re: GMR 18 (No more new GMR!)
Spoiler: Poland1. One time sum of 50 gold, at least. More would be better.
Or, an amount of (5/turn) annually, at minimum, but we acknowledge this would quickly become really expensive for both of us, and is therefore not the preferred option.
2. Honestly, pay back will take some time. Exactly how long, we can not tell. But we will strive to do it as soon as it's humanly possible.
3. The money will mainly go towards feeding and upkeep of our extensive workforce toiling to build weather-proof roads between all of our big cities. The faster they get the job done, the faster we will be able to pay the loan back, as these roads will help our internal trade routes become much more effective, generating wealth for the nation.

An open letter to Siam
One of your archer units has taken a camp whose defenders were clearly killed by Venetian archers. We are peaceful trading people who have no desire to bring destruction to either of our peoples, but regrettably this affront to Venetian honour can only be paid with blood.

Re: GMR 18 (No more new GMR!)
We of the polish people condemn that Venice's first response to a perceived insult is to declare war on a friend of the Polish kingdom. Venice has not even attempted the barest means of diplomacy. They did not ask for Siam to stay away from the camp, they did not ask for re-compensation for their troops hardwork. The so called peaceful people of Venice, immediately jumped to war with a fellow nation of the world.
I am reminded of one of Pochantism's circle songs I'm paraphasing when I sign
~But still I cannot see. How the peaceful one is you.
~It seems to be that conflict is all you know.

~But if you walk the footsteps of a Siamese

~The Siamese and the Arabians are my brothers.
~The Brazilians and the Indians my friends.
And of course also the Celts, they just didn't fit the song as well.

What are your impressions of this war? Perhaps you'll be able to build a wonder to the great desert, but as far as I can tell the Venice people haven't stopped theirs.

What are your impressions of this war? It seems sudden on the part of Venice, and short sighted if it's so sudden.

Dear Venice,
You were not the only ones sending arrows to that hive of scum and villainy, even if your archers were the ones shooting the last ones.
Yes, we did use the opportunity to claim the camp's resources. We would prefer we could settle this by splitting the spoils in half. We don't want to spill any civilized blood either, unless we have no other choice. Surely this hurt "honor" of yours is not a good enough reason.
