How do you measure code-debugging in kilometers (how wide a page, and what size print)? Or were you actually wandering about as you did it?

By having your work station and the rig which you need to run the program against 150 metres apart. Every time I built something, I had to walk 150 metres to test it, and every time I concluded there was no more information I could gain from staying with the rig, I had to walk the 150 metres back again to write the code required to gain more information. All in all, I did this proceedure 14 times before I gave up on solving the bug for the day, and I slept perhaps 4.3 hours last night...

What, did you not manage the plural?

Nah, I mean that my alarm will go off in 5 hours and 20 minutes, so I kinda need to get stop spending what precious hours I have left on writing posts.

Ahhhh I dunno. I've always loved the banjo and I've gotten really into folk and country singing lately. Fits the mood. Never played an instrument like it (I don't think playing bass back in lower secondary really counts) so it's a tad intimidating to jump straight into a banjo, but hey. I'M AN ADULT I DO WHAT I WANT.

The order finally came into effect. We're all wearing green like a bunch of idiots in the Mojave Desert. The asphalt pictured is the closest thing we have to a surface that we can blend into, if only because there's a few black patches here and there on the uniform. I just can't wait for summer when we're all wearing darkly colored clothing that blends in with nothing in hundreds of miles.

Hahahahaha, that is... something else, for sure. I want to say I expected more of them, but my expectations for management in the armed forces are not high in the slightest.

4 10's means instead of working a standard 8h day, 5 days a week, I instead work 10h a day, 4 days a week. I prefer that sort of schedule honestly.

Today we found the solution to my last three days of endless walks and head-against-wall-banging, and it spelled "turn off the firewall and activate compatibility mode"; we didn't even figure out the latter part until I started copying the old, working build and it magically stopped working.

On one hand, I'm happy I can retain faith in my programming abilities, but on the other hand, those three days could have been better spent dealing with the mandatory bugs which surface as soon as you get your build running...

Oh well, this was my last day before my Christmas leave, so I shouldn't complain, nor even think about it. For now, it's a future problem.

I'm still moving every couple of months - but, such is the life of a college student. Nothing really fancy going on over here, aside from all of the driving.

I've considered doing it - 10 hour days are really nice when there's 10 hours of useful work to do in a given day. 10 hours is really annoying when there isn't, though.

Yeah, that happens to me too. I need to try to be a little more sociable on here, I think. Of course, it doesn't help that the highlights of my day were driving five hours, signing things, and buying absinthe.
