Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
By having your work station and the rig which you need to run the program against 150 metres apart. Every time I built something, I had to walk 150 metres to test it, and every time I concluded there was no more information I could gain from staying with the rig, I had to walk the 150 metres back again to write the code required to gain more information. All in all, I did this proceedure 14 times before I gave up on solving the bug for the day, and I slept perhaps 4.3 hours last night...
Nah, I mean that my alarm will go off in 5 hours and 20 minutes, so I kinda need to get stop spending what precious hours I have left on writing posts.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

Ahhhh I dunno. I've always loved the banjo and I've gotten really into folk and country singing lately. Fits the mood. Never played an instrument like it (I don't think playing bass back in lower secondary really counts) so it's a tad intimidating to jump straight into a banjo, but hey. I'M AN ADULT I DO WHAT I WANT.
Gotta say the greens look super damn dandy and fiiiiine but I can completel
I feel really young by not really... getting what... bulletin boards are. Although I'm starting to feel rather old as I need to scroll down to find my year of birth when I enter it into things that it's needed for.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
EEEEEEH well um. I don't think that many people do it. It's something that I've had every year since registering. I might reuse my first Christmas avatars next year, Cuth made some awesome work back then. Like he did now.
(it also seems like I forgot to finish my sentence earlier. I was writing that I can completely understand how utterly pointless it is to wear the green uniform in the desert...)
You did awesome, me lad. Cuth never fails with avatars...

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Nice to know I'm not forgotten. Though, I really need to catch up on the latest one. Lately has not been the right season to have hour+ chunks of free time, though, for numbers. Curse you, shopping, short daylight, family, and work! How dare you seem to be twice as draining around now. I demand a holiday from this holiday.
Which reminds me I need to actually go to bed. Because family stuff with several branches of the tree tomorrow, yay.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Right, christmas avatars. I've got some of those.
Getting around to it. I'd promise tonight if I wasn't going to spend 5-6 hours driving today. Trying to put a little more effort into it than "you hit/an enemy appears/it's X's turn", you know?
Hahahahaha, that is... something else, for sure. I want to say I expected more of them, but my expectations for management in the armed forces are not high in the slightest.
Ay, I remember you! It's been a few years, hasn't it? How's things?
I'm shipping her and Mutant, but that's mostly because he keeps denying it.

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Well, it is right there in the name of the software... "vBulletin", derived from Bulletin Board.
Specifically, vBulletin was written as a replacement to UBB (short for Ultimate Bulletin Board). The writers of vBulletin offered to sell their code to the creators of UBB, but when that offer was rejected they started their own company.

Hey, no need! It's nostalgic and awesome. Gotta get that retro feel boi. Which reminds me, I've actually lost some of the files. I have like one or two saved and have no idea where the others are. Could you resend all of them to me?
MAGNIFICENT BUTTONS.
I just read that as diaper wearing chickadoodle. I think you're older than that and not old enough to need them. Young lil' Cuth. Our lil' chick going to the big world! *sobs uncontrollable tears*

Yay! That's really awesome. What does the 4 10's schedule mean, though?
Damn. I actually remember UBB now that you mention it. And I remember a forum that I went to a lot back in the day shut down for a week or so and switched it to vBulletin. This was like... in... 2005 ish.Originally Posted by LaZodiac

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
That's 11 hours. Are the 10 hours not consecutive?
A 4 10's schedule does sound kinda nice. I'm not sure I would prefer it to my regular schedule, but maybe I'd be tempted to try it out if I had the chance.
And I am remembering that the reason I don't show up here much anymore is that I usually have nothing to say. So, um... *goes back to lurking*

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
Neat! And I'll chime in that I remember you too. Not remembering someone I've met in person would've been a bit rude...
ION:
Today we found the solution to my last three days of endless walks and head-against-wall-banging, and it spelled "turn off the firewall and activate compatibility mode"; we didn't even figure out the latter part until I started copying the old, working build and it magically stopped working.
On one hand, I'm happy I can retain faith in my programming abilities, but on the other hand, those three days could have been better spent dealing with the mandatory bugs which surface as soon as you get your build running...
Oh well, this was my last day before my Christmas leave, so I shouldn't complain, nor even think about it. For now, it's a future problem.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

Re: WarKitty's Feline Frenzy Random Banter #216
It WAS, but I don't have enough days before christmas to put all of those up! I might do a few, though.
Mmm, probably not. I'm gonna be living with a couple grad students, and they seem to be pretty quiet folk.
Congrats!
I'm still moving every couple of months - but, such is the life of a college student. Nothing really fancy going on over here, aside from all of the driving.
I've considered doing it - 10 hour days are really nice when there's 10 hours of useful work to do in a given day. 10 hours is really annoying when there isn't, though.
Yeah, that happens to me too. I need to try to be a little more sociable on here, I think. Of course, it doesn't help that the highlights of my day were driving five hours, signing things, and buying absinthe.Avatar by FinnLassie
