By "villain" I don't mean someone who is antagonistic to the other characters, but whose scope, goals and abilities will encourage other characters to come together in opposition of them. Even, and perhaps especially, if they would normally be at odds with one another.

I fail to see how that doesn't qualify as an antagonist. That said, there are two spots which would be like that:

1) Quincies. You could play a companion character to Ezekiel and slowly built towards the first Quincy war.
2) the Soul King.

Do either sound like your ball game?

Random Thing: I'd be completely willing to do the write-ups on the Quincy Clans during the Medieval and Modern periods.

Other Thing: Ammutseba, I'd recommend the Soul King. I don't really think another Quincy is necessary.

Yet Another Random Thing: Interestingly, the "Medieval" period of the game is not what we typically think of as medieval. It's actually towards the end of the Viking Age. A more "medieval" period would be circa 1100-1200 C.E. Just a bit of meaningless pedantry.

On another note, do you want to play out the process of forging Takehiko's zanpakuto, or would it suit you better if we skipped ahead to when it is done?

As you wish- I thought the process could be a spiritual yada yada- you know- stabbing Kuchiki in his heart, and forging from the metal which remain inside... facing his own darkness and yada yada.

Sunyi, is a charming and passionate woman. Yet, she has an obssesion for Qiu- love and kill.
She know he supposed to be her hero- but he is disappointing over and over.

He always failed her. 7 times.
She killed him 7 times, and comitted a suicide 7 times.
Now, as Hollow.. she had enough. She want to destroy, kill anything that resembling Qiu. Cowards, traitors, soldiers...

Despite being a Hollow Sunyi has quite human, even if pale appearance. She can sense and control all the ghosts who died because of Qiu.

Heart stabbing is par for the course for the series. Getting stabbed is sort of on-off-switch for spiritual powers. Ichigo gets stabbed thrice to give him powers and twice to take them away.

I really don't think I'm up for playing the Soul King, and I agree that there's no necessity for another Quincy. So... I'll keep thinking :)

I suspect Takehiko's brief visit to nightmare land was a bit different than expected, but I hope it was enjoyable.

As a sidenote, the scene with Ezekiel has provided me with motivation to refresh my memory of Ancient Roman history and the opportunities for irony are endless.

Once the lord steps out of the web the ground begins to pitch and heave, sending tremors throughout the area as the ground itself shifts and forms a tiered series of walls around the Shiba encampment as spindle towers burst around the circuit. Arcane energy swirls around the Necromancer, its baleful eyes glowing all the brighter within the Lion's skull as it chants wildly in tongues until the spell ends, a vast fortification encompassing the already well built Shiba encampment.

Depends on what the soldier was doing. Running away to save yourself when you're on guard duty etc. is inexcusable and punishable with death. Falling back on a battlefield to avoid being overrun by an enemy is acceptable.

Two things:

1) I can do the Quincy clan write-ups for the "medieval" period of the game.

2) @Ammutseba, I've come up with a few rough villain ideas if you can't think of anything:
a) A Fullbringer, which, per the OP, may exist.
b) A mortal who is eaten by a powerful Hollow after dying, but begins to take over the Hollow's mind from within, perhaps due to some latent spiritual ability.
c) A noble in Soul Society who wants to cause strife.
