Well that's just it, Tasnim wants to go to the Kuchikis first since they'll be the problem House from what she's seen of their actions (that they're loyalists), so at least planting the thought in their heads before going to the Shihonin or Shiba is the first step of her plan.

Does that make sense? Getting the ball rolling by starting with the most stubborn ball and trying to budge it the tiniest bit.

And you know what would help push that ball much more than a tiny bit? Two less problematic houses as allies. Stubborn balls tend not to be so stubborn against four balls more willing to move against the one.

So I've been keeping a distant eye on this thread for quite a while now and I like what I see. Gives me good ol' nostalgia feels. The game's got enough of the familiar to give a solid footprint, but plenty of room for creative freedom to fill in the gaps. Which leads me to why I'm here.

I'm interested in further developing the Soul King. I do have a concept in mind, but given how intensely important the character is I want to gather some more preliminary feedback and do some more brainstorming before I get too carried away. So I'm asking the players what they ultimately want to see out of the Soul King in this game. I know there was a brief discussion about this not long ago in this thread, and I'm taking all that into consideration. But if there's anything else people want to add before I start throwing together a write-up, please do so.

My overall goal is to try and incorporate as many ideas that people have into a coherent vision that will help carry everyone through to the end of this first story arc. I don't want anyone to be involved in a plot that isn't interesting to them and just get dragged along for the ride. I also don't want people to think I'm just showing up to take control of the Soul King and steal the spotlight. This is a communal story, and the Soul King should be nothing if not a communal character as well.

I've made my opinions known on what I think about a single person playing the Soul King before and that stance hasn't changed. It's too big a role for one person to play especially as more people feed into the lore behind it. The person playing would either have to respect all that input and effectively not be playing a character of their own or ignore it and negate the entire purpose of the game. Not to mention the Soul King's life is on a duration. There are so many other roles to be filled in the game, the Soul King shouldn't be one of them.

Apologies to Callos since despite all this time, I haven't come up with any reply to Tasnim due to a bad case of distracted by life.

I also have no idea how to move the scene with Takehiko, Qiu and Ezekiel other than dialogue, so with King539 unresponsive, I have no idea how to continue.

I propose Tsuniy, the Crazy Eight et all do the ambush tango anytime the rest of you are ready, with assumption that Takehiko, Qiu and Ezekiel are where you last saw them, that is, right there on Ezekiel's porch.

To what? and how? The conditions to ambush him haven't been met yet, as their orders are to only capture him if he still proves loyal to the Soul King after meeting the Soul King. It simply will not happen if he isn't loyal, nor will it happen now because he hasn't met the Soul King. They're not going to attack him like idiots for no reason.

I'm in the same boat. Ana isn't going to show her hand for nothing. For now, we are merely shadowing them. Perhaps if something were to drastically change (a Hollow attack, or something else) then it would advance but right now its kind of deadlocked.
