Knights of Elemental Keep

It has been two weeks and two days since your departure from the Elemental Keep. For the first week, you have been traveling by horse and carriage, the second week passed mostly by horseback riding until you reached the last settlement on this side of the Grayback Mountains, where you let the horses and stocked up on resources, and started your ascent to reach the pass over the mountain Corm. Once on the ridge, you can see the smoke coming out of the few chimneys of Argendale, the settlement inmidst the mountains you were sent with the quest to retrieve and escort an eleven year old boy suspected to carry a water or air shard.

You had a few days to get to know each other. Please use this thread for your characters to get to know each other a bit. You can use this thread for some initial banter. You may assume to be still on the carriage or already on the horses, or wandering. Just assume what you need to introduce your character to the others. I will most likely not interfere in this thread, and it might die out after the basics have been established.

Even armored and in high altitudes climbing, Trukkon has no problem. If anything, he has a big smile on his face as the crest the ridge.
"Come on, tis but a short jaunt, it would seem. How is everyone hangin' in there? If anyone needs a break, just call out."
Seeing the smoking chimney's, he laughs "Well, we are almost there, t'would seem. Best to trudge on a bit more and hopefully get a hot meal, if we can. What does everyone say?"

"I'd say bog withese mountains but yer right about'a warm hearth," Shae says, just a little ways behind Trukkon on the slopes. After yet another day of chill winds and leaping (or occasionally slipping) to and from crags far less adeptly than some of her company she'd come to the tattered end of her patience. "Are ya sure we'reven close to where we oughtta be?"

"Not too many settlements to be found in the mountains. Weather too harsh, rich farmland too scarce, and danger from terrain and beasts all to easily found." Ethan says, his tone and inflection neutral, as though the harshness of their journey was someone else's concern, "At the very least, if we are lost, we can ask directions here."

[Rogan]

Ever since they left the horses, Maghnus seems to appreciate moving on his own feets again, definitly not bothered by the altitudes, his gear or the pace Trukkon is setting. His dog is moving around the party, sometimes in front, sometimes at the back.

"Not too many human settlements to be found in the mountains. Other races like having some good, sturdy stone nearby. Not to mention the precious ore you can find there... But this smoke in front of us should mark our destination. And I won't say no to some good, hot food."

"Hm, you're right Maghnus, my apologies." Ethan replies to Maghnus's observation, and tries to give the dog a pat as it passes by.

"Nothing to apologize for, is my figurin'. So, any of you briefed on what this lad we're picking up is about? What element his shard may be, things like that? I was a bit out and about before we left and never really go a good bit of information before we trekked off."

[Rogan]

Fang, the dog, sniffes at Ethans hand for a moment before accepting the patting gleefully.

"Well... its a boy, a bit older than ten years old. From what I have heard, they are not sure, but he is suspected to carry either a water or an air shard" Maghnus replies to Trukkon before turning to the other members of the group "Did they tell any of you more about the boy?"

"Gonna be honest'ere; I didn' much care 'bout the details. S'another little guppy we're lookin' to put inna bigger pond before 'es too big fer this'n. Thought it might be easier knowin' a little less given some folks might not wanna part ways with 'im even if it's fer the best."

Shae shrugs, pushing on and looking for signs of the settlement, eyes squinting at some of the more wordy details. "Might not've been the smartest decision made if none've us even caught a name for 'im, hindsightwise."
