Unpredictability is freedom and freedom is the freedom to do the right thing." Reinholdt collects the last of the papers and places them on the desk. "The only people you should listen to are the ones who lift you up."

I will admit, I may have gotten a little too much responsibility lately, between city council, The Olympian and renting out my guest house.

Oh, no, no, The Olympian is the place I own in Skyside, it's a barcade and restaurant, it's where the big Thanksmas party was a couple years ago.

But I hope one day to be up there.

I mean, once you find out you're a demigod, there's going to be that part of you that desperately wants to fully ascend.

More than anything, I want to prove myself.

I dunno, it's probably why I do so much stuff, trying to impress people.

"Ah, my mistake," Reinholdt apologizes. Some day he'll meet the goddess of back rubs and ear scritches. Keep dreaming the dream.

"I don't much visit the cities, though I do think I remember that venue being the Thanksmas I came back. I got caught in a tree. Those streamers are hazardous you know." They weren't designed to be played around in Reinholdt.

"I've heard just as many tales of demigods finding mortal lovers and throwing off their immortal half to be with the one they love and get a movie deal or two out of it. Maybe you should go that route. You're plenty impressive enough as it is, you must have dozens of suitors."

But the whole VIGIL thing happened and one thing led to another and......

Well any smooth segue Rein might have had evaporates in tears. He rubs the back of his neck, frowning sympathetically. "Yeah. Been there."

He'll move in to give Felandria a hug. "I'm sorry that happened to you. No one should have to go through that." Not much else to do, except maybe to grope around the office for a tissue and offer it to her.

Well any smooth segue Rein might have had evaporates in tears. He rubs the back of his neck, frowning sympathetically. "Yeah. Been there."

Felandria will reciprocate the hug, trying not to squeeze Reinholdt too hard.

It wouldn't hurt so bad if I knew why she reacted the way she did, she was so hard and vicious to me the last time I saw her.

She acted like I wasn't worth anything.

Felandria's tears stop flowing and she smiles.

Felandria smiles as she resists the urge to call Reinholdt a good kitty for the 58th time today.
