I remember the last lich I threw at the PCs way back with my old D&D group. The party found the lich's ex-girlfriend and weaponized her anger to defeat him. The lich ended up banishing himself to the 6th level of Hell as a means of escape.

Probably was the most 'out-of-the-box' way of defeating a lich.

I feel like Rainbow might get bored with poker pretty fast; nothing "awesome", just numbers. (She might like more "flavorful" games like Magic: The Gathering though).

Applejack might actually be decent bluffer if she just sits still and is stoic.

Pinkie Pie is difficult to read so she'd be good if she still has actual playing cards in her hand at the end of the game...

I agree about the others though.

See, I don't see why she'd get bored. Poker moves really fast, and nothing grabs attention like money moving around. And the large bets are pretty awesome as you watch each card flip. MtG, other CCG are all very much imagining things happening. Poker, you get and earn money, move and build stacks of chips. It's all very real stuff.

That says the new episode titles are “Celestial Advice” and “All Bottled Up”. The second one sounds like the flashback in S5 E12 with Lemon Heart's head stuck in a bottle. Also, to Mojo Jojo, who has the hobby of building miniature model of sailing ship inside a bottle, dedicated to his father who was a sailor.

True, Dash does have an active imagination. But before that episode we'd, and Dash herself, didn't think she'd be the sort of pony who would like reading. So maybe she would enjoy MtG. But that doesn't detract from my point on why she'd enjoy Poker.

A huge part of playing poker is the mind games you play on each other, trying to fake out your opponents into folding before you. I could see Dash getting in to that.

Tomorrow's pre-panto job is to create a thread where I entreat helop onw orking out how to turn a word table of contents into something I can extract page numbers from to paste somehow into my existant spell list (probably by means of Excel, but I'll burn that bridge tomorrow when I can explain with the santiy that is now eluding me more than usual as I am hitting that stage where I can no logger tank pin discrete sentients.
