Good news and bad news. Good news, I have finished the picture in paint. Bad news, I cannot get it on a post. Help please.

I just made my first post on a forum EVER last week, so this may not be the optimal way, but what I did...

Step 1. Got an account on flickr [You have to upload any images you want to post somewhere on the internet]

Step 2. Uploaded the picture to said account.

Step 3. Right click on the newly uploaded picture, click Properties.

Step 4. You should see the image's address. Highlight it, press Ctrl-C.

Step 5. When you type up the post, type IMG (in brackets), press Ctrl-V to paste the URL of the image, and then type /IMG (again, in brackets).

That's what worked for me.

The brackets used must be square brackets, the coding looks like this:
[IMG]image web address[/IMG]

Could someone tell me how I messed up and want I need to do to fix it? Please?

The domain name must also end in .jpg, .gif, .png, or other similar filetypes for [IMG] tags to work.

I would advise downloading Inkscape for OotS images, vector programs give a clearer finish.

Yes. Yes I do. But knowing what you mean and purposefully misconstruing it is what's fun about the English language. I once took a grammar quiz where I had to clarify the following sentence:

The mirror fell to the floor and it broke into many small pieces.

I just couldn't bring myself to clarify that it was the mirror that broke, not the floor. Stupid teacher docked me half a point even though I performed the task 100% according to the rules of the quiz. This was an English quiz, not a physics or logic quiz.
