    Default Small Addition to Chapter 3 Dragon Heist [spoilers]

    This is something I felt was missing from the chapter, so for those who are playing the module, here are the clues and where they lead for Waterdeep Dragon Heist Chapter 3.

    I know from experience that clues work best when spoon-fed. Here are the clues the PCs are given and where they lead.

    Line 1
    When Cromley is getting a statement from the players he says they shouldn't help with the investigation. However, he mentions that he can't forbid the PCs to talk to their neighbors, or with the dead. This leads to Line 3, or has the characters cast speak with the dead on the victims.

    Line 2
    A character sees Dalakhar in a dream. He comes up to Trollskull Manor, sweaty and short of breath, hands the Stone over to the character. He says 'keep it secret, keep it safe. Neverember..". Then the character wakes up. He'll be shocked when he sees the gnome among the victims. This leads to talking to Ranaer.

    Line 3
    Taking the suggestion from Cromley, the characters talk to the winesses. Jezrynne talks about a mechanical puppet, similar to those seen at Day of wonders. This leads to The House of Inspired Hands.



    Giving redundant clues insures your players know what to do next, and gives them the feeling of an open world, since they get to choose which lead they decide to follow.
