Flatearth In Memoriam
I'd like to find out if there are any other surviving (read:still posting/roleplaying) members of the now defunct Flat Earth Games message board. We have been scattered far and wide, and I'd like to see if there are any people here I knew back then. For those of you who want to know what happens when NOOBS begin invading and tearing down a perfectly good website, check out what has happened to my once beloved roleplaying forum:
God, I can't believe this...In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
Who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said, "Is it good, friend?"
"It is bitter - bitter", he answered,
"But I like it
Because it is bitter,
And because it is my heart."

Re: Flatearth In Memoriam
I remember Flat Earth Games. It was one of my first bookmarks ever. I was never involved in the forums, but back when I first started DMing, the monster stats were irreplaceable (I was too cheap to get the books).
And that new site is horrifying.

Re: Flatearth In Memoriam
Wait I'm confused. That appears to be the website for some sort of healthy snack. Yet you both mention gaming. Am I missing something, or is that link broken, or has that site completely changed directions now.

Re: Flatearth In Memoriam
This is what happens when spam-bots and noobs ruthlessly attack a website in waves. Near the end, most of the old crowd had left, while a few holdouts (like me) stayed on to wade through the misspelt words and pointless, idiotic roleplays. We tried to cast true resurrection on the site, but unfortunately, the site's admin couldn't take the bombardment of 500+ new members every day, and finally shut it down and sold the domain name to a purveyor of snack foods. A few of us managed to regroup at a Proboards site, but that site has also slowed down to a crawl, though not for lack of trying. The spark just went out of us after the death of our dear old Flat Earth.

Please excuse me while I vent my rage.

Hey Mist here, guessing you might know me. I'm from Flatearth, been searching for the other members for quite a while.
