In the 8th panel of that comic we see the flumph cry 3 tears.
Every living character with hands has 3 fingers.
Roy's crown has 3 points shown.

The wheat in the guys mouth has 6 bristles, 6/2=3.
Bald people in suits with ties appear 9 times. 9/3=3
Bald secondary characters appear 12 times. 12/4=3

2+3+4 from the math above = 9, 9 is divisible by 3
Banjo has 3 buttons on it's robe.
Shojo has 3 segments of clearly white colored facial hair.

Roy doesn't strike me as the kind of person who would want to get eaten first. On the contrary, he appears to be the kind of person to struggle in vain against impossible odds for the principle of the thing.
