After spending some time looking at the markings on orb. "Poison! All of the powerful ones are trying to turn into snakes, right? What if we apply some poison to this? Might not be the same as a Yuan-Ti, but it should be close."

[Illven]

I imagine only a snake's venom sack would work. Cassandra remarks.

[Gryndel]

"I have a spell that allows me to change my body in certain ways (alter self), but I doubt it can generate poison. We may have to utilize the poison of that giant snake."

"There may be enough from the smaller snakes, or from the battle in general."

The party can take some time to gather up what they can and prepare the poison to be used on the orb. I'll just need one of you guys to confirm that's what you want to do.

[Gryndel]

Yorkin grins as he caresses the handle of his pistol and walks toward the stairs, "We'll start with the small dead ones, see if that'll be enough venom."

He goes down to collect some snakes, with a held action Shocking Grasp if anything attacks him in melee.

The party is able to safely take the poison from your snakes, with the large snake nowhere in sight.

After bringing the poison up to the orb, the group carefully lets it drop on the orb. As soon as the poison hits it glows with green light and the crack running along it begins to repair itself. When the crack is completely gone, the orb flashes in white light before going dim again - the protection is back up around the island.

[Gryndel]

"Well," the sorcerer grins, "not as difficult as I imagined. I suppose we should return and report our success, though they may already be aware that their magic field has been restored."

[Illven]

Everyone ready? Cassandra lets out.

The trip back to the village is peaceful and when you get close you hear shouting. At first you think it may be from happiness, that protections are once again up but as you get closer you hear that they are of anger.

When you get to the village you see three humans tied up and kneeling on the ground, all dressed in armor with the same symbol on it. The Yuan-Ti shout angrily at them, but your contact Nassirah stays off to the side, not joining with the angry crowd.

Yorkin moves toward Nassirah.

Does he recognize the symbol on their armor?

When he gets close to her he whispers, "So what's this all about?"

"The paladins who came to attack usss, we had been holding them for judgement but it ssseems that the people have spoken. Our people want blood, for the blood they have taken."

The symbol on their armor is of Helm.

[Illven]

The paladin's superiors will send reinforcements. Cassandra pipes up.

[Gryndel]

Yorkin sighs softly at Nassirah, then nods solemnly at Cassandra's comment. With a shrug he says softly, "None of our business, really. We repaired the device in the temple, so the magic protection should be working again."

Are these people Sea Hawks?

Mmmm. True. Cassandra admits.

As far as you can tell, no. They seem to all be associated with Helm and wear that proudly. You would know that followers of Helm range anywhere from Good to Evil, so long as they believe they are protecting something they value.

Nassirah watches on with you. "As far as we can tell, they did not tell othersss of this island. They would be the lassst who know if its location. The island ssshould now be hidden again, but ssskilled sailors may be able to find their way back."

"So what does Elissa think should be done with them?"
