Default Need a powered scooter for a senior elf.

In an upcoming campaign I am playing a venerable Elven Psion with 1 str. My DM and I have agreed that due to my advanced age and exceptional feebleness I can only walk a limited amount time before needing to rest. We're using a modified version of the run rules to model this.
    Spoiler

You can walk for a number of rounds equal to your Constitution modifier, but after that you must make a DC 10 Constitution check to continue walking. You must check again each round in which you continue to walk, and the DC of this check increases by 1 for each check you have made. When you fail this check, you must stop walking. A character who has walked to his limit must rest for 1 minute (10 rounds) before walking again. During a rest period, a character can move no faster than 5 feet per round.

Since walking long distances won't be an option for me I need some sort of mobility assistance device. My budget is 80gp, however I am also interested in elegant solutions for later in my characters career (assuming he doesn't keel over before then).

Note: I've already considered using a donkey or other mount, but I'd rather limit the chances of me falling and breaking my ph so brittle bones.

Buy a talisman of the disk. Put it on the BSF.
Edit: didn't see the budget. Gimme a bit to think
Suicide and Last Breath to reincarnate into a younger body?

I've already got a plan for a younger body down the line, at the moment I just need something to carry me and my gear.

A donkey/mule, ridding saddle, and masterwork tool of Ride comes to 68 gp. If you're still worried about falling off, 50 feet of rope is only one extra gold.

Hire a pair of untrained laborers for 1 sp a day and make them carry you around in a sedan. For a few dozen gold pieces, you've got transport covered until you can afford a Talisman Of The Disk.

A Command Word item of 1/day Unseen Servant is 360gp. If it requires Alignment (yours) and 4 ranks in (a skill you have) you can decrease the cost another 40%, down to 216 gp. Plus whatever the cost of a wheeled chair might be. It's a bit over your budget, but if I were the DM I'd let it slide.

Anyway, if you weigh less than 100lb, the Unseen Servant will be able to drag(=push) you for an hour a day. You'll have to worry about the "batteries" running out, but that might be okay.

One of the Eberron homunculi (Packmate?) is specifically for hauling stuff. It might work. IIRC, it's in Magic of Eberron.

page 152 actually, it is listed as a small construct so some modification would have to be made, also, it lists no price as it is never sold, but created, meh.

What about a small wagon pulled by mules?
A wagon costs 35 gp, plus 16 gp for 2 mules to pull it. Less risk of you falling off.

If you are open to Dragonlance splats, Race of Ansalon has Gnome contraptions which might give you some ideas.
80 gp buys you 8 Tool points, which in turn allows you to build a contraption with a complexity score of up to 80.

79 point large wheeled vehicle with a movement speed of 100 ft
    (I imagine this as a large mobility e-scooter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:M...cooter_zoo.jpg)
    Complexity Component
10 Large sized Vehicular Contraption (needs to be large sized to carry 1 medium sized character)
    0 Wheeled
9 First 40 ft of speed
60 60 ft of speed increase

77 point medium wheeled vehicle with a movement speed of 100 ft
    (I imagine this as an e-scooter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:A...er_Ready_1.jpg)
    Complexity Component
5 Med sized Vehicular Contraption (can carry only 1 small sized character)
    0 Wheeled
9 First 40 ft of speed
60 60 ft of speed increase
3 Mighty Steed feat from Bestiary of Krynn (considered 1 size large for carrying riders)

77 point medium flying vehicle with a flying speed of 80 ft
(I imagine this as gnomish steampunk jet pack)
    Complexity Component
5 Med sized Vehicular Contraption (can carry only 1 small sized character)
20 Flying (no manueverability given in the rules, so I guess clumsy manueverability)
9 First 40 ft of speed
40 40 ft of speed increase
3 Mighty Steed feat from Bestiary of Krynn (considered 1 size large for carrying riders)

In the book, it's balanced by the quirk and mishap system (like noisy, smokey, burning). There's even one mishap that results in the contraptions ceasing to function with this audio message "Error #5! Not user repairable! Contact product service center for repair!"

Note: While the Dragonlance splat books have the "Official Wizards Licensed Product" stamp, only the campaign setting book was actually printed by Wizards directly. So there are folks who are hesitant to use Dragonlance splats.
Me, I got interested in D&D due to Dragonlance, so I am very partial to Dragonlance books.

Skate is a 1st level psion power, and would be hilarious. Wizened old elf, too tired to walk just says "Eff this!" and just starts gliding along the ground by will alone.

That's only for a few minutes per day, though. A permanent item of the power would be too expensive.

A donkey costs 8 GP, and can drag 750 pounds. A sled costs 20 GP, and weighs 300 pounds. With the remaining 52 GP, you can buy it some decent barding, and stock up on lots of feed. Not sure how it'll do on surfaces other than snow or ice, though.

A cart would be even cheaper at 15 GP and is of course wheeled. A few GP more could probably get a custom seat with straps so you couldn't fall off.

It's 28000 GP. Again, a bit over budget.
