As we approach the 48 hour mark, I would like to take this time to remind everybody to check their QT to make sure that they have used (or have decided to abstain from using) any Night Powers they might have. This warning will go out at the ~48 hour mark every Night Phase we have holdouts, and we won't be waiting beyond the ~72 hours if people are dragging their feet.

So. Potential wolf powers, to try to get this game back on track.

Shatterbird - Unclear. Not a Beast, despite her narration. Dangerous, but given the number and variety of capes, unlikely to thematically be the NK.

Crawler - Survivalist/day-baner? His thing is that he survives essentially whatever is thrown at him.

Burnscar - If the NK is role-based, this could be her. If not, some kind of wolf protection power? She rescues Mannequin in canon, and can teleport through flames, so it's not the worst option for an escape ability.

Mannequin - Self-contained systems allow for self-modification, which indicates several powers may be present. Witch, perhaps?

Cherish - Seer is plausible. Redirection is plausible. Vote manipulation is plausible.

King - Redirection, plausibly. Of what is tricky, though. Alternately, it's pretty likely that he's a Beast; it would fit well. Particularly likely if Cherish is a redirector.

Jack Slash - The other good candidate for an NK role. But he could also have some kind of power based around the manipulative side. Again, investigative or vote-manipulation are both plausible.

I assumed the wolves were in contact and decided who to kill together. So there is no need for a NK character. And if there was one and we lynch him, they cannot nightkill anymore?

yeah it does sound a bit ridiculous. Though the chances of killing him on purpose are actually extremely small. I expect that the wolves will have multiple nk's to compensate though i do not expect the full 9 to be alive not even 8 as we did not start with a full house. Though it seemed obvious to me it must be because not everyone has the same knowledge.

Wolves (typically) will have a single night kill, which is sent by one of them at random each night. Wolves retain this night kill until they are all dead.

There's another possibility. Crawler might be the Beast and King the Alpha.

From the earlier post, we saw that Alphas might be able to pick their teams, resist scrying, and/or deflect lynches to someone else. King's power managed to redirect some pretty esoteric stuff in canon, so shifting off scries and lynches to someone else is quite plausible. If King is in play, the best bet for taking him out would be either using the Voider or keeping at him after we finish off whoever he designated as a meatshield.

As for Crawler, the author of Worm has said that the combined capes of Brockton Bay are capable of killing Crawler, though not without losses.

For potential roles for some of our other characters:
Trickster is the Vortexer, natch.
Panacea, Othala, and Shielder might be some form of Baner. Technetium43 and flat_footed claim Panacea is a Baner and one of them.
Gallant and Tattletale are likely Seers to some degree.
Grue and Panacea could be Voiders.
According to Forum Explorer, Shadow Stalker is a Watcher/Vigilante.
Hookwolf is likely a Serial Killer.
Flechette and Purity are possible Vigilantes.
I'm at a loss for Hellhound. Murska may or may not wish to share.
