Tarak

Content that Suga and Celesta have the zombies well in hand, Tarak slips in behind the walking corpse attacking Feagon and slashes across its back with one of his kamas. The hobgoblin follows behind his slashing blade, fading from view as he crouches low.

As the last undead falls, Feagon drops to his knees. He slowly gasps for breath as he's weakened, just like Celesta and Suga. Looking up at them, he calls out "How fares everyone?
I have some magic to heal us but this sickness, whatever it is, must pass or wait until the morrow. We need to find safety in case there are more of these." he says as he looks at the buildings, trying to find one that looks more sturdy than the rest.

[CWater]

"These two are still moving!", Celesta shouts and swings at the persistent undead in front of her.

Celestia cuts one of the creatures in half; Suga's slashes reduce both of them to small pieces.

You still hear the sound of battle from the west. It also stands out to you that the face-down human body the maggots were feeding on is the only corpse, of all the corpses you've seen since arriving, that didn't attack.

"Forgive me... whatever this sickness is must have sapped my wits along with my strength. I thought that one dead. But, we should still find shelter." Feagon says as he moves from one building to the next, ambling the the undead just moments ago, looking for some place defensible.

[CWater]

"Is fine, wasn't that something?!", Celesta replies. She took some heavy blows from the undead fists and is still feeling the annoying urge to throw up, but manages to grin. "I think there's another fight to be had over there", she points to the west, "Shouldn't we check it out?"

The hobgoblin glances back and forth between Feagon and Celesta, "Come on Feagon, our work's not done. Let's see if there are still any living folk left in this town."

Bending over to examine the one dead body that seemed to 'behaving' normally, Tarak checks to see if there's any reason why it hasn't been reanimated. Then stands and nods to Celesta, "Lead on."

The corpse, formerly a male human, is wearing an amulet; Tarak also notices a square bulge that suggests a hidden pocket in one leg of his pants.

Not at all concerned with formalities at this point, Tarak removes the amulet and loots the hidden pocket of the man's pants.

[Cavir]

The nearby fight over, Suga puts his axe arm's wrist to his knee to support some of his weight while he focuses mind to get past the sick feeling. He watches Tarak check the undead so he hurridly checks the dead undead that lay about him, grabbing what is worthwhile. "Yes, we may be the reinforcements that turn the tide. Let's go." The orc's mind flashes to the day many years ago where he had single-handedly turned the tide of goblins raiders hitting a caravan by hitting the raiders from their rear. That night led him to being accepted to the warrior temple which in turn led him to this very situation.

Tearing the corpse's pants open, Tarak finds a leather fold that holds papers which claim to belong to a carpenter named Viktor Litmunova.

Stowing the papers in his backpack, Tarak stands up and passes his hands over his eyes until they glow with a soft blue light. Retrieving an old leather-bond book from his pack he flips a couple of pages then places the amulet in the crease of the book and examines it.

Celesta gives the others a moment to check the corpses on the ground before she starts to move west towards the sounds of battle. With difficulty she quells the urge to just charge into the fray, and instead tries to approach the scene more carefully, to at least see what's going on before running over. On the way, she even downs a healing potion. The lingering nausea is probably at least partly responsible for this sudden display of patience.

The elf grumble a bit before picking himself up, realizing the others are correct though he is ready to roll into a corner and wait out this sickness. "Alright, let's get on with it, then." he puts away his morning star and pulls out his bow.

Tarak detects an aura of faint conjuration from the amulet, but cannot identify its effects beyond that.

Suga and Celesta hurry westward. The fog clears enough for all of you to see a town square, surrounded by rough barricades. The barricade you're approaching has been breached, and corpses are swarming through it. In front of a well, a woman in full plate armor swings a bastard sword against two of the zombies. "Pelor!" she shouts.
