I've bought their terrain sprues to use for 40k buildings (and they're fantastic for that purpose), but I haven't tried the rules.

Okay, I played two games so far of it.
One using homebrew 40k rules (rules for Marines, Scouts, Dreadnoughts, etc.) found on Dakka Dakka, one using the actual rules but 40k minis.
It's a shedload of fun.I have a LOT of Homebrew!
