Although gaining new powers might very well alter a person's character, so it's not exactly clear cut.

It's not like humans are the only humanoids with hands in this setting. Ysengrin doesn't seem to have any beef with the Anwyn who live in the forest.

I'm a little dissapointed. I was hoping the bridge collapsing would be a chance for Annie to unveil the ability to fly, as Coyote foretold. Ah well, now she needs to find another way to get to the forest when Parley isn't there.

I wonder if he'll fill the Annan. Coyote in his strength created the Annan as a border. He could fill it in if he wasn't otherwise bound.

This unintended dam project (no swearing there, folks) may shed light on a puzzling matter. Where do the Annan Waters come from? Where do they go? They apparently run fast, and the depth is uncertain, but the river is maybe as wide as a football field; that's a lot of water. The water will eventually top the pile of rubble and resume its flow if this is a normal river; but for now, where-ever the water WAS going to will be dry.

It might be time for exploration...

Destroying the bridge seems like it's mostly symbolic. The bridge was created to allow humans to cross but not shadows. With the bridge destroyed, Ysengrin is reasserting the forest's dominance. Practically, though, it won't affect most people who want to cross. Most people in the Court aren't allowed into the Forest anyways, by the Court's own rules. On the Forest side, Ys himself can fly accross the river. Many forest animals could swim accross, now that Jeanne is gone. Shadows could also probably cross the river, and fairies could fly accross.

Of the Court residents who might want to cross, most don't need a bridge. Eglamore could jump across the river. Jones could drop to the bottom of the river and walk across, then climb up the other side. Parley can teleport across, and Smitty can hold on to Parley as she teleports.

The only one who may have trouble crossing is Annie. She might be able to get Rey to carry her across the river, but the Court might not be okay with Reynard getting too close to the Forest. Annie could also ask Kat to make another flying machine, but the Forest might not like a machine coming up to their border. Maybe Annie will use this as a reason to learn how to fly on her own, as Coyote predicted she would eventually be able to do.

I definitely agree. Coyotegrin's design is bad.

Coyote himself was not generally all that threatening in terms of appearance, even when he was trying to be threatening. It was more the implication of his power, as well as his more morally dubious acts, that made him seem dangerous in addition to ridiculous.

Give Coyotegrin a little time, fellas. He came into existence five strips ago. So far, all he's done is smash a bridge and make some seeds rattle.
