Default Asking about a legal issue thats brought up in a fanfiction

Is that ok? Basically, a story im reading has brought up an issue that I cant seem to find an answer on myself and I wondered if I could ask it here. It seemed like it almost has to be illegal but the adults in the story while frowning on it dont bring up the law, and I cant find any clear cut answers online.

I'm pretty sure that the answer is going to be no. If you want an answer to a legal question, you will have to hunt down a lawyer somewhere else on the internet (or off the internet as the case may be).

Unless youre looking for an expert in the fictional laws of this fictional world, that sounds like asking for professional advice to me.

You may be able to get somewhere at Law Stack Exchange, depending on the details of your question.

Sheriff: That seems problematic here mostly because it requires real life legal interpretation. I'd look elsewhere.
