I'm just intrigued that you've been to enough amusement parks with Ukrainian customer service reps to be able to comment on such a trend.

The two I can think of me seeing this is Cedar Point and Noah's Ark. Both parks give where the person comes from on their name tags. I have a habit of looking at name tags. One because I am trying to get better at names. Two, because the weather and general banter about where a person is from are two easy ways to be jovial and friendly with sales people, which I strive to be always. Which is part of the reason I become a fronted by bad customer service since I am trying to be nice.
