Vulas heads to the door.

"Did it have a hand guard?" Prutina questioned.

Aldo sort of grumbles as he pulls out keys and unlocks the cell door.

"And dont let me catch you again"

The half orc considers him a moment before heading out into the stormy night.

[Andrew Markham]

"No, the knife didn't have a handle. Let's make our way to the theater and make sure the girl is safe. We'll plan our next move after that." Avery moves to the door and leaves for the theater.

[EdgeGrinder]

Peutina followed them out. "Whoever or whatever the culprit is should have a cut on the hand they stabbed with. Hand guards keep the the hand from sliding off the handle onto the blade when the weapon is stuck in something." Prutina explained.

[Dagron]

After we are outside of the constables ear shot.

Well if the toys are being used in some way then since they are made from wood you wouldn't need to worry about that.

As the group begins to leave the Constabulary, the theater their goal, A scream is ushered into the night.

"HELP! HELP! THEYVE BEEN TAKEN!"

A Woman rushes toward the group that has strung out from the constabulary.

"The show at the Secolo tonight something’s happened! They’ve all vanished. Only the children are left. You have to do something!"

It is now nightfall. The streets are dark, empty, and hazy. Lamplights on the streetcorners, held aloft on lamp poles, flicker gently, shedding a soft radiance in a small circle. The buildings are mostly dark. A few show a single lamp in the
window, but they are empty, as if someone had hastily left. The cobblestone alleys are devoid of people. A thin haze limits visibility toabout 120 feet. Beyond that the street lights can’t penetrate.

Jail pulls out his bow and knocks an arrow while rushing to the theater

[Andrew Markham]

Avery pulls out a rod and holds it in his right hand. "Let's stay close; we have very little light, and we need to keep each other in sight."

[clarison]

I slow down impatiently moving in place

"Then let us hurry I fear for the children's safety if your theory is correct they may be the puppeteers next victims"

[Dagron]

Prutina, you think we should go to his shop and get those answers now? See if those dolls have anything more to say about you.

Vulas turns toward Guiseppes workshop.

it's not just the dolls he controls it's also the weather that storm that has been looming overhead is unnatural. Though that could mean he's really powerful or he has a partner either way we can't be too cautious.

"Okay, but we should be ready for a fight going in." Pruntina warned, putting her hand on her dagger.

[Dagron]

Vulas Calls back to Aldo, Constable Aldo! Head to the theater and keep and eye on the Children. We'll go after the parents!"

Vulas lowers his voice and sounds very grim, If we're not already too late....Let's head to Guiseppe's workshop this way!

Vulas takes lead of the group drawing his staff and heading straight to Guiseppe's shop. He stops at the front door.

Vulas and Prutrina:

There is a single candle in the bay window of the toy shop, its light prevents you from seeing inside. The streets appear abandoned, though you can hear echos of movement in the distance. You both stand at the door.

Jail and Avery:

You see a darkened building. A hand-painted sign above the doorway reads “GUISEPPE THE PUPPETMASTER PERFORMS TONIGHT!” The two side doors are locked, although they can be picked. The large double doors are unlocked. The inside of the theater is dark. Rows of empty benches face the empty stage at different angles. Illuminated in latern light, on the stage is an old man wearing well worn finery, standing to the puppet theater that has been erected on the stage. A Wooden puppet stands motionless in the puppet theater, strings stretches taught. You recognize the old man puppeteer and his puppet from the first act. The Old man startles as he notices the two of you enter. Fear sweeps over his face as you enter. He cries out.

"Stop them Figlio! Dont let them get me!"

The Wooden puppets head snaps up; His eyes swivel to seek you out. It Shrieks:

"Carionettes! Attack the Trespassers!"

Chills sweep up your spine. Suddenly small shapes swarm out from the front row benches. Each is a puppet with strings trailing behind on the floor. The lantern light glints off the viscious blades and sharp needles they carry.

Surprised by the horror he was witnessing jail looses an arrow at the puppeteer missing pretty badly

Prutina tried the door.

Avery presses a button on his rod. It shifts into a flaming sword! Avery moves forward northeast to the aisle, where two puppets block their way forward. "I'm going to move up this aisle. Archer, cover me!"

Avery swings twice; if his first swing destroys a puppet, he switches to the second one blocking the aisle.

The Front Door appears to be locked

Avery and Jail:

The flaming sword of Avery slashes with the sound of flames licking the wind. Twice his sword makes his mark The first envelopping the carionette in flame as its body stuggles before giving into the flame and falling to the ground. The second carionette struggles but does not fall from the injury Avery inflicts. The 4 Carrionettes nearest our hero's, Needles are drawn and thrown at them.

The rest of the Carionettes move forward getting in our hero's way as The puppetmaster and the doll Figlio disappear behind a curtain at the back of the stage.

Avery stiffens in shock as his heavy armor is pierced. He fights off the effect. (1d20)[17]

Shaking off the poison jail listening to Avery, jail fires an arrow at the next puppet in front of Avery

After seeing the front do is locked Vulas quickly goes to check the backdoor.

Vulas finds the backdoor is also locked.

[Andrew Markham]

Avery sees the advancing puppets closing in. "Change of plan! If you can get around them and make your way to the stage, do it! I think I can handle this." Avery swings at the wounded one, changing targets again if it falls.

If Avery has managed to drop a puppet, he moves forward into its space.

Two more puppets are englufed in the flames from Averys sword and fall as they struggle against the flames. Avery steps over their burnt bodies as he advances a little toward the stage. The carionettes push toward Avery and Jail as more come in reach. Brandishing needles and small knives.

We'll we can either try the quiet way and sneak up on him inside or I can shatter the window to splinters. Or 3rd option go get everyone else and then clear the house. What do you think?

"Working on it! Nice move!" Avery shifts forward and strikes at the next puppet between him and the stage, attempting to clear the way.
