Also, these extra stories are supposed to be rather fanciful folk stories, similar to the Heterodyne stories. They won't necessarily be consistent with the main GG canon.

FWIW, in the main GG canon, General Zadipok was the "missing" general, at least from the point of view of the other generals. They weren't worried about Higgs. (Lethologica said "missing," not "hidden.")

When you take on one Jager, you take on them all.

Probably true--in the same way that heroes always stand behind their friends when there's trouble and the not so hero-y always stand behind their friends.

Zadipok was simply delayed for some unknown reason. "He should be here by now, but we have not heard from him". That's different from the 7th general.

By the way, that's another movie that would be improved by replacing the cast with Jägerkin.

Casablanca. Because there's almost no way to improve that movie.

OTOH, I vote to remake Battlefield: Earth with Jaegerkin as soon as possible.

So, the day before the festival, the town watch has a big party. Day of the festival, they are all out sick. Sounds like someone did something to the drink at the party. Makes a good first stop for a P.J., but now someone wants to knock the PJ to bed.

Thinking about the word Jager, it occurs to me that Pacific Rim would have been a lot more enjoyable with Jagerkin characters and dialog.

Especially in the final battle against the battle droids clanks.
Forget the leetle keed blowing up the command ship.
The Jägermonster would win that on their own.
    And it would be glorious.

*Nothing against them, but unless we talk about the Darth and Droids version the Jägermonster are clearly superior.

I think the most significant change would be that the Jäger (the mechas that is) would wear hats.

Besides there always being a bar, there's always the tough-as-nails ex-girlfriend who still hasn't forgiven him for whatever they broke up over.

Not that this has much to do with Jager movies, but I first remember coming across the world "jager" in the story Mark Elf by Cordwainer Smith, where the meschenjager are killer robots left over from the sixth reich and whatever world war it was they started. It also has a telepathic bear and the daughter of a probably-not-mad scientist from World War II who put her in suspended animation for longer than intended. It's possibly the weirdest retelling of Goldilocks out there.

I also just realized it would work really well set in the Girl Genius world if it weren't for the fact that the main character finds killer robots and telepathic bears really strange things to run into.
