Actually maybe I'll just eat one, the non-glowing black one and see how that makes me feel first.

Like you ate a potato chip.

[Ramsus]

I'll then eat one of the glowing black ones.

[jakarta]

Like eating a salt and vinegar potato chip. Makes you feel a little queasy for a second, but not enough to make you barf.

[Ramsus]

That's probably enough of that. I'll just resume the plan of flying off with the glowing black scalpel and exploring further.

As you go though the north door, you smell food, almost food, and 'novel menu items'.

Following your nose, you find a large but not tightly sealed barrel of kibble. It is what they have been feeding you.

The barrel next to it also contains kibble, but it doesn't have the flecks of crystal and metal in it. Sampling one... it's ok, but not as flavorful.

As for the other tasty scents....

The room is filled with racks containing glass boxes. In each box is what smells like a tasty treat.

The first rack contains 3 boxes.
The largest box contains 5 water bottles, a feeder shoot, and about 100 brown and grey balls of hair. The box is covered by a multi section top that looks like it slides open.

The box next to it contains scurrying furry white things with pink eyes and tails.

The next box contains hundreds of tiny black things that are hopping around.

The second rack contains medium sized boxes.
Three of them contain animals that seem to be just a head and a lot of tail. There is a green one coiled into a ball, a brown one with a diamond pattern on its back and tiny horns over its thin-slit eyes. The third is black with a yellow striped belly. It is awake and sways back and forth. It's neck is wider than its head.

The next rack has one box containing 2 quill covered creatures who roll into balls when they see you.

The others boxes contain (insert mysterious descriptions of scorpions, tarantulas, black widow spiders, centipedes,matis, frogs, and giant ants.) There is also one box that just seems to contain sticks.

All of these things smell delicious!

[Ramsus]

I have a thought. A tricky kind of thought. I look around to see if there are any other doors here. If so, I go through it. If not I backtrack to the last room I've been in with a door I haven't gone through.

((And... I'm already lost, lol.))

There is a new door to the north.

You are 3 rooms north of where you started.

[Ramsus]

I will drink some water from one of the water bottles before going north.

[jakarta]

The furry balls just move away from you as you drink.

The lid wasn't that hard to open. Do you secure it when you finish?

There are also waterbottles in the containers with the furry creatures. There are water bowls for the scaly ones and dishes with a wet sponge in the others.

I think I will in fact secure the lid.

No snacking?

Shall I describe the next room?

Yes please.

The next room has more racks of glass boxes, but these are filled with water.

There is a long trough with a wooden board covering it on one wall.

There is also a rack with many jars and bags.

There are colorful things swimming in some of the boxes.

[Ramsus]

I pry up the wooden board to see what's in the trough.

The tough is full o moist dirt, poop pellets, and clumps of long segmented pink strings of meat.

[Ramsus]

I'll check out what's in the bags.

((Are there any more doors in this room?))

Doors to the north and east.

Some of the bags contain food pellets of various sizes and colors. One bag contains salt.

[Ramsus]

I shall head north.

[jakarta]

The room is filled with 15 large jars. One is empty. The other 14 contain green fluids and the remains of your clutch mates. They are all deformed, sliced open, and the wounds stitched closed.

At the rear of the room is a dissection table and a door leading north.

[Ramsus]

Despite being very angry and saddened, I control myself and don't smash any jars and make a lot of noise that would give me away and wind up with me in one of those jars.

I go north.

This room contains an center island, and a door to the west.

The east wall is empty and white.

The north and south walls contain cabinets. These have many drawers and a multi color glows escape from the cracks and edges of the drawers.

I check to see what's inside the drawers.

[jakarta]

The drawers contain pink foam packaging material with indentations holding lines of crystals. The crystals glitter brightly.

They look yummy.

[Ramsus]

I'll eat one of the crystals and go through the door to the west.

[jakarta]

The door to the west exits into a hallway. It runs south. Across the hall are doors evenly spaced, more or less, with the rooms on the eastern side of the hall. You can see a door on the far south end of the hall.

((Argh so many doors! There goes any hope of me having even a vague grasp on the layout.))

Ok I'll just check out what's through the closest door.

Imagine a small office building or hotel. You were working your way though the interconnected rooms on the east side of a hallway. Now you are in the central hallway and are starting on the rooms on the west side of the hall.

This room contains a large barrel, a shelf containing many sharp looking and bloody smelling metal and wooden items, and a table. You can't see what is on the table.

There is a door to the south and to the west.

[Ramsus]

I fly up to see what's on the table, though I'm certain it's probably something horrible.

[jakarta]

Not that horrible.

On the table there is:

A) 1 foot cubical cardboard box. There is a green four-lobed symbol on the side. It has been opened, but not unpacked.

B) What looks like a empty leather sack. It is sitting limp next to the box.

C) A clear crystal rod. It starts flashing and beeping as you get closer. Looks valuable. Might be tasty ...
