It depends, I suppose. It's not really a big deal though. If that is how it is then that is how it is. It's just odd in this context because in all the cases where demons have come up churches have not been mentioned at all until now, on top of the werewolves not having any apparent equivalent.

Well... given the werewolves are, in fact, just a representation of the animalistic side of Dominic, free from the chains of society and civilisation, and the church an imaginary representation of a sanctuary protecting from outside forces and the hope in help from above, it doesn't matter anyway.

Whoah. That was actually a little trippy. For me, anyway, because it reminds me of an old dream I used to have. The oil-like blob eats Santa Clause and then tries to escape.

Well, since it was many years ago, it's a little foggy, but I distinctly remember the blob absorbing Santa Clause and then sproinging away.

Well, Siggy sproinging away after having eaten Dominic would be some sight!

Although I honestly don't see how to interprete that event in context of the comic being just the expression of a mangled, broken psyche of a dying man...

I had a dream like that once, except instead of Santa, it was me, and instead of a blob absorbing me, it was something not insane.

You know, in light of all the tentacles, we've really overlooked the dialogue in panel four:

"Oh, is that more of your soup?"
    "Why, yes it is, Luna."
"Thank you again, Tessa. You've been--"

I'm trying hard to imagine somebody saying this in real life. I'm trying hard to put it in some sort of context. All I'm getting is some disturbing infinite loops:

    "Oh, is that your soup?"
    "Why, yes it is, Luna."
    "Thank you Tessa."
    [ten minutes later...]
"Oh, is that more of your soup?"
    "Why, yes it is, Luna."
    "Thank you again, Tessa."
    [ten minutes later...]
"Oh, is that more of your soup?"
    "Why, yes it is, Luna."
    "Thank you again, Tessa."
    [ten minutes later...]
"Oh, is that more of your soup?"
    "Why, yes it is, Luna."
    "Thank you again, Tessa."
    etc.

I'm sort of hoping that Dominic's interrupted line was, "Thank you again, Tessa. You've been repeatedly giving us soup for the past ten days, by the way. Please stop before I blast you with the Ray of Redemption."

To be quite honest, however, Luna's line seems like something out of a children's show:

"Oh, is that more of your soup?"
"No, Luna, this is my cereal."
"Aww, that's so hard! How can I tell the difference?"
"Well, Luna, 'soup' starts with an 'S,' but 'cereal' starts with a 'C'!"
"But it sounds like they start with the same letter!"
"Here, Luna, maybe a song will help!"

    S and C

I have made a rather funny discovery, if not mind bending.

A person who blogged a rant against a blog-rant against Dominic Deegan.
Not that it is in Defence of DD, oh no. It hates it too, it's just got more issues with the issues the other rant has against DD.... I think...

    http://badcomicsreview.blogspot.com/...deegan-or.html

Seriously worth the read, if you want a head trip into how much time people can waste. Also pretty funny to boot. Especially when one of them starts calling Mookie a child molester.

Actually, he's stumbled upon a review of John Solomon. Unless, of course, the reviewer actually is John Solomon, turning his vitriol and fury onto himself in a final act of rage (which, given the writing style, is quite possible). I picture a serpent eating its own tail, except the serpent is calling his tail a child molester, and then screaming, "What? Hey, you, behind me, you can just go to hell! Oh, yeah, well same to you, whoever's in front of me!"

that Shot of Jayden there doesn't look like Mookie's normal style. It's actually... in proportion, and well defined. Well, the bottom part anyway. I"m betting he copied from some kind of model.

Now, if only he would do that for the rest of the comic.

Though it requires bringing making inappropriate ass-shots to an art form to try and make supposedly erotic depictions of dead or dying women.

    That's easy.

See demons, being evil, love to be evil.

If they walk into a church, there is a very real chance that all of their sins will be instantly forgiven and they will be shipped off to Aberghast Cathedral. When they return, *BAM* Second Caste.

Since no demon wants to be a mindless good guy, they avoid churches at all costs.

The sad thing is, the only difference between demon Siggy and human Siggy is that demon Siggy is less talkative. Oh, and the tentacles.

    Demon Siggy also discriminates less.
Previously, he limited himself to other races and cripples, would even go as far as to refuse to beat up Jayden, that bastard. Nowadays, he is much more open minded, and beats up anyone.
