Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
Wish me luck gentlemen, I'm going on an immediate archive binge starting with comic 1 and ending with... God knows what...
Time to find out what all this fuss is about :D
First two comics are funny (if horribly drawn) can someone give me an estimate as to when this thing goes south? (strip number?)
EDIT: Did anyone else think sparks was a dog at first?Last edited by Zencao; 2008-02-09 at 08:16 PM.

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
No, but I have been wondering about him for a long time. He's the only cat we've seen in the Deeganverse, and I continually wonder if this is typical cat behavior, or if Spark is some sort of assistant conjured from the deapths of hell, like the imp he killed in that one arc.

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
Since I'm generally aware of the current arcs happenings with the orcale hunter and the "why don't you just shoot him" complaint, I found this strip funny with the general thoughts of this thread, read: Last two panels

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
It occurs to me now that Stunt and Bumper have apparently aged about ten years since the start of the strip.
It also occurs to me that the Oracle Hunter is objectively less intelligent than Stunt & Bumper.

Bwahahahaha! Another sheep for Lord Dominius.
You must read the Sacred Texts until your mind is filled with the perfect insanity that is Lord Dominius. You will know that you have reached this elevated state when Rape is Love, Lies are Truth, and you realize that without Lord Dominius there is no Redemption!

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
There is no need to fear Szark ever turning gay because he has looked into the fearsome visage of the Barf Monster! Everyone knows the Barf Monster immunizes everyone against the gay virus, and also cure all traces of gayness from those poor souls already afflicted.

I belive that it's now obvious that this thread gently floats on the mellow waters of insanity from some time.

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
Depending on who you ask
1: The War in Hell
2: Immediately after the Storm of Souls
3: Immediately before the Storm of Souls
4: Ecstacy and Evil
5: Page 2.
Most people agree on it being 1 or 2. I personally consider 4 to be the real beginning as it represents the first true demonstration of the Caste System, specifically Szark (who is gay) and his wife Amelia. Most of the warning signs for just how much of a travesty the morality system would become are there.
The Snowsong arc (horrible though it is) doesn't qualify simply as it really just represents the break from just 'really bad' to 'gruesome train-wreck'.
What? Oh! Lord Dominus! No-no, I meant 'radiant beacon of your perfect light'. No, really I did. Please, believe me. No! Don't ship me to the Cathedral, please have mercy! NOOOoooooo!

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
This emoticon is the only thing that can accurately express my feeling at one day being able to be completely one with the unthinking reverie that is Dominus:

Up to the nurse pam and brawlers part, and is it me or does every character outside the main characters have -1 dimensions?

Re: Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
Fool! Don't you see? Your Dominus shouldn't need your defense! He should destroy all opposition with ease! To state whether we are or are not fit to criticize him is to place yourself in his position! You've just demonstrated the ultimate hubris!
You are imperfect! Destroy yourself!
