The character's name is Gralkhan he's a pretty powerful wizard, if you want to roleplay him for the duration of the adventure, I can give you more info.

Hi, all. A few of me might know me as Flaming Eagle (lost account). I wish to clear the air and begin anew.

I recently found out that I'm on the autism spectrum. That statement is relevant because when last I left, I felt wronged. I was trying to be agreeable and liked by everyone but never saw how my behavior could be seen as creepy, rapey or toxic. I wanted to RP with everyone but didn't grasp a lot of concepts. Since the diagnosis, I've been thinking anew about what happened between us, and it made so much more sense. I missed all the signs I was thrown until I lost friendships I cherished, forever. Worse, being an emotionally unintelligent and depressed aspie made me more prone to meltdowns, so when I was finally confronted about this in the IRC chat, my reaction... Being shadowbanned was completely justified.

And so I'd like to apologize for my past actions. I take full responsibility for the actions and their repercussions. Please, forgive me. I'd like to believe I'm a much better person now than I was then, and my diagnosis has definitely helped me on my path to self-discovery. I was a guy of 20 with the mentality of a teenager. But my words mean jack squat without actions, so I promise to strive to be the best I can be.

Some of you will never forgive me. That's okay, I know that now. It's something I brought upon myself, and all I can do is accept it.

Also, if I'm being creepy, rapey, clingy etc, making social faux pas and failing to catch hints, please point it out? These things get to go over my head, especially over the internet where I have only textual context. I'll stop the behaviour immediately.

I am hoping to join the FFRP in the Nexus. In fact, I already know what part of the Nexus I want to join (Heroes' Hearth) and have a character concept. However, my character concept is kind of weird (from a meta-gamey perspective) and I want to make sure that it wouldn't be bad form, because it sort of walks the edge of some first-PC guidelines.

I don't want to have to deal with plot, at least not at first, so I decided that maybe my first character could be a semi-permanent fixture in a little-to-no plot region, where I could interact with other people but not have to worry about stalling a quest because of deadtime or something like that. Then I came up with

The idea, which I had already had and was trying to find a possible use for, is an extrapolation of character builder game to try to get a character with the most possible cantrips known in D&D 5e by RAW. I started to think about what that would look like and eventually built up this idea of a character who, after mastering all low-level/cantrip magic of all types, opened a school to teach people how to use it.

TL;DR: ridiculous D&D5e multiclass to know all cantrips
My idea is to have my character (while still being a PC) act as the old NPC sage that others can go to during downtime for training and advice.

Am I allowed to have the above OP starter character (lvl 20 in DnD terms, and in possession of powerful magic items) if I go out of my way to avoid fights and plot?

For the record, your character isn't really confined to one thread, though many do have threads where they appear most often. And someone who knows all the cantrips is hardly a disruptive concept to the Nexus at large.

The one-thread confinement is a personal choice so that I don't have to worry about tracking my character or stepping on people's plots by accident. Also, would it be bad form to suddenly create a magical school and library in Heroes' Hearth (the OP says ne locations are OK, but it still feels like it might be too much)?

The where and how is typically pretty simple.

First, you come up with a character to introduce. Then you pick a location to introduce them in. Inside, Outside, and the various tavern/inn threads are some of the most common jumping in points, but those are by no means your only options. You make your opening post, then someone will likely reply in short order.

From there, you get involved in adventures or hijinx or whatever floats your boat.

@Morty, would you allow the Professor to teach Batu a spell (originally from D&D 5e), and, if so, how should that process work?

Batu has studied from D&D-style spellcasters before and he adapted their spells into the principles of his sorcery. So if he saw how that spell functioned, he could work with that.
