    Oh, sorry for the confusion; Doireann is currently holding Erica's glasses. She doesn't want to exert Elementalist power into the middle of a situation with at least two tense Supernaturalists (who would be understandably skittish about Elementalist power just due to Cardinal Superiority), and so she's bringing the glasses to Erica by hand. If Roy grabs them and moves them over to Erica, that would get them to her within this round.

    And, since I'm assuming Roy gets Erica's glasses to her right away...

    Spoiler: Quellian
    Show
    Insight: Erica comes to the same conclusion as Roy earlier; Wet Patroclus wants allies to stop Dry Patroclus until the countdown ends, Dry Patroclus doesn't want to make his friends kill Wet Patroclus, but believed that Wet Patroclus absolutely has to die before the countdown ends. Both Patrocluses absolutely believe that they are telling the truth in this moment, and they both believe that the other one is lying.

    Expertise 1: You get similar results as Rupert earlier; while his were more in the form of sense impressions, you get it in the form of block texts of information attempting to pop into your brain through the conduit of your glasses. You can parse what Patroclus' contribution was somewhat clearly; he inputted a runic sequence into a ritualized spell, essentially entering the 'code words' to activate an already-prepared and powered sequence. The rest of the information on the spell itself is complicated and extremely difficult to comprehend; lines of text seem to be disappearing and reappearing almost at random, as the enormous spell tries to stabilize itself temporally. If you had to put together a theory, it seems most likely that Patroclus put in the wrong 'code words', and whatever ritualized spell he was using was either so old or so sloppy that it misfired instead of simply refusing to work. The fact that a failsafe seems to be activating suggests the former interpretation; speed-reading through what you can understand, it looks like the spell is going to affect both of the the Patrocluses once it stabilizes enough to activate. The effects of the spell are going to be significant, but you don't detect any destructive forces being marshalled within the spell's powers.

    Expertise 2: Time travel isn't possible. Every respected Supernaturalist researcher or scholar since the Threefold Day has maintained that actually reversing the flow of time is a good way to expend all of your energy and die with no noticeable effect. Those people foolish enough to attempt it usually just keeled over; a few documented cases aged rapidly, going from young adults to ancient and then dying of old age in a matter of seconds. Even though the idea of time travel (especially going back in time to the Threefold Day and finding out what happened) is popular in fiction, reputable sources all agree that it is impossible.

    Of course, that hasn't stopped less reputable people from trying, or even claiming to do it. Such people have even made valuable contributions to Supernaturalist understanding; the ability to slow or even stop time is a documented ability within Supernaturalist power, as is the problem of Temporal Inertia. Simply put, time will always flow at the same speed; slowing or stopping time can prevent this flow for a time, but after the power of the spell fades the person or object affected accelerates through time to where it 'should be', temporally. Because of this, temporal magic is considered a dangerous field of study; you likely wouldn't cover this in more than a theoretical sense until at least your third year at Hope Academy.

    Other scraps of folklore about time magic come to mind--trying to go back to the Threefold Day was popular shortly after that event among some conclaves of Supernaturalists--but you can dismiss most of them as mythologized stories with barely any grain of truth. One scrap of notes from a Supernaturalist 'scientist' a scant hundred years after the Threefold Day even personified Time, claiming that 'he' would claim any 'toys' that meedled to deeply in his purview and use them to further his ends; this scrap begins by the author claiming to have lived for three hundred years before superpowers came into being and dissolves into incoherence shortly afterwards, so it's mostly seen nowadays as a fragment of apocalyptic fiction written by a very bored person or a madman.

    To the optimist, the glass is half-full.
    To the pessimist, the glass is half-empty.
    To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

    To note it officially, Roy is Power Stunting an Enhanced Trait 30 off of his Iridescent Medley for Erica to use to augment her Teleport crystals. Iridescent Medley has a Teleport power as one of its effects, so the fluff is it's those crystals he's giving to Erica.

    Edit: QD pointed out Erica can in all likelihood make the trip without the boost, so never mind what I wrote up top ^_^;

    A role playing game is three things. It is an interactive story, a game of chance, and a process in critical thinking.

    Assessment on Tree: (1d20+12)[26].
    Assessment on Ancient: (1d20+12)[30].

    Just to be clear, both of them appear immediately hostile to us, right?

    Well, these two are still based on Patroclus; therefore they are utterly terrible at lying.
